Please leave Wile E. Coyote out of this. He wouldn't help Barack Hussein Obama anyway, as I think he is from Arizona.

http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/08/obamas_point_of_no_return.html

"There comes a moment in a failing presidency where the incumbent, through some single gesture, action, or statement, crosses a certain line from beyond which there is no return. Through his own will and behavior, he so underlines his failings, so frames his negative image, that no further action can ever erase it. Fate, accident, and circumstance have nothing to do with it. It is the president himself who puts the period at the end of his own sentence.

...

During a White House dinner celebrating Ramadan, the president found it appropriate to come out in favor of religious freedom. Not in support of Christians being attacked by janjaweed gunmen, or Bahá'ís tormented by Iranian mullahs, or Jews being stalked by assassins, or even American citizens being told that they cannot pray in public, but in favor of a shadowy foreign foundation with suspicious financing and disturbing jihadi connections that wishes to build some kind of victory monument congruent to the site of the 9/11 massacre."

Obama is 'well bent' on this one...

Cheers

He still has the thing that the "politically correct" fear the most in his trick bag---RACIST----is the scare word for people who can't or won't think for themselves.
Racist will be used more and more until the mid terms are over.

WHOO RAAAH !!!

Posted by: Knight 99 at August 20, 2010 12:51 AM

Racist? Oh yeah, I'm a racist. I like watching all sorts of races: Grand Prix, Formula One, Indy, America's Cup, Reno Air, heck even NASCAR. Bring 'em on. More races and more racists will just make it even more interesting.

Posted by: John Galt at August 20, 2010 1:03 AM

Obama is 50% Black / 50% White.

How can he pull out the race card and not get shot out of the air?

There are some great mind tricks going on here!

Posted by: glacierman at August 20, 2010 1:04 AM

50% or is it 50 cent?

Ask blacks in the US and globally what race Barry is.

At the end of the day, they decide, and the decision was made 1 1/2 years ago.

50/50 bla bla bla - semantics that leave no bearing on the reality of who Barry is, and the influences that derive his support and rise to power based on being black.

He's also most probably 90% gay, but that inconvenience will wait until book comes out long after the Republic is gone and Barry is mummified in some shrine.

The moment prophesized in the American Thinker article linked in the first comment by Hans-Christian Georg Rupprecht, CinC 1stStNA AGTN, was first predicted in The Impotence of Being Snakebit at Big Lizards on July 21, 2010.

"I won't say it's inevitable that Obama will become snakebit; but there is a swing, a momentum in that direction; and it's getting heavier with every passing day. If I were required by law to wager $100 on the future, I would bet that by 2012, Obama's reelection will look so dismal that, like Lyndon Johnson, he simply declares godlike success and walks away from the wreckage."

Posted by: Looking Glass at August 20, 2010 1:16 AM

cap_bob @12:28 - yes, but maybe there's a silver lining. It's pretty much a case of "the little boy [I certainly don't mean "boy" in a voices-in-Maureen-Dowd's-head kind of way; I'm not even really referring to Obama; I mean the countless numbers of people who keep trying to pull this lame stunt]... little boy who cried 'racist' at this point".

Real racism is an evil thing, but if everyone who opposes Obama get's called one... well, you see what I mean.

So because Obama referred to a political fear tactic (he's young, inexperienced) used against him, and included race (yup, he certainly did bring up the race factor, I'm not arguing against that) he is forever potentially going to USE it during his presidency? For what? I think some of you need to calm down and let go of the exaggerated theories and claims.

Barack Obama's IQ is ~116 From Vox Popoli, author of The Return of the Great Depression.

"Due to affirmative action, however, one must reduce that [LSAT] score by at least 186 points. ... Thus, giving Obama the benefit of the doubt drops his score to 1104, which is equivalent to an IQ of 116."

That's using the Harvard average LSAT as a base for the affirmative action bonus.

Here's corroborating evidence, with a hard (non-speculative) ceiling on Obama's IQ.

"UPDATE II - Obama graduated from my mother's alma mater, where everyone takes the various college prep tests. He was not a National Merit Scholar, a National Merit Semifinalist or an Outstanding Participant. This indicates a ceiling on his SAT percentile at 96.9, which indicates a maximum possible SAT score of 1230 and maximum IQ of 129."

Which explains this comment from Caroline at Dirty Harry's Place in 2008.

"...intelligence always reveals itself. As a skilled athlete reveals his athletic skill in simple things like moving gracefully to pick up a dropped napkin or catching a falling pencil before it hits the floor, etc., an intelligent person reveals his intelligence in equally telltale signs as well - the most obvious are his ability to quote effortlessly from great works, or great thinkers, etc. Obama has NEVER done that!"

Scorched earth is what comes to mind when watching how they are handling this down there. The NDP did much the same thing, knew they would never get reelected but had enough clout that their laws would get passed, however once everyone caught up with what they were up to it was horrifying nevertheless demonize your opposition and soldier on.

It works too. Most to this stuff will never be repealed. And Obama has fiscal security for him and his family for life plus well he can party like you have never seen and it don't cost him a cent.

Clever tactic. The Democrats have been defining the GOP as extreme. That's meant as a form of behaviour to fear. They defined the GOP with a number of terms that they have declared as indicative of extremism:
far-right, neo-con, evangelical, rich, greed, Wall St, wealthy, ..and war, etc etc.

This ad, however, defines the Democrats as extreme. It doesn't use terms but statistics based on the American people's views. Not the views of particular Democratic politicians. But the views of the American electorate who are rejecting the actions of the Democrats.

Very clever tactic.

Sometimes I wish I was an American so I could vote this November. It would give me the greatest pleasure to strike a vote against the Obamessiah's agenda.

All of this Leftard stuff about anyone who doesn't agree with them being "extreme," "far-right," etc. is such garbage. That's where we've got to speak truth to lies, because the Left has been framing the argument/discussion for years.

It's got to the point where those of us whose ancestors built our North American democracies have been made servants in our own house -- by tricky rhetoric and the misuse of language. When we object to runaway immigration or to a (self-defined black) POTUS who doesn't seem to know what the hell he's doing, we're called racist and told to shut up.

Sorry, you don't get to tell me to shut up just because you're on the left side of the political spectrum.

ET I don't think it was that clever. It is one of those things that works until it doesn't. The little old lady at the Tea Parties holding up the sign she is a terrorist puts it to lie. When it stops working the blowout will be massive.
The racist crap only works with racists and they don't listen anyway. Nobody questions his colour. They question his ability and lack thereof. People know if they are better off or not.
Republicans should not be drawn into the racist fray. Let the Dems. defeat themselves. He needs an enemy, he has decided it is his fellow countrymen. I think people know who their enemies are. All the Reps. have to do is ask 'Better off?'

I like to think that Obama doesn't wish to inject race into his politics but it really doesn't matter since his supporters are so quick to throw out the race card to defend him. Anyone who throws the race card at me over my objections to his policies doesn't deserve any sort of acknowledgement. Why waste my time if they aren't going to take the discussion seriously.

Posted by: Chairman Kaga at August 20, 2010 11:02 AM

speedy - I'm not sure if you understood me. I meant that the ad defining the Democrats as extremists was clever.

It was refocusing the reference from the Democrats who define GOP as extremists to defining the Democrats as extremists.

As for racism, Obama has used race as a key tactic during his presidential campaign and continues to use it. It's been a powerful tactic, inciting blacks to vote for him 'because he is black' and whites to vote for him to 'appease white guilt'. He's used race as a shield to prevent further examination of his experience, ability, skills, knowledge - and his profound lack in each of these categories.

He's used race to divide and polarize the people, turning them against each other and deflecting their gaze on him and his faults.

It is now, however, that finally people are starting to really observe Obama, question what is going on, realize that 'something is wrong', becoming aware that his D for Democrats and Drive, is really a D for Disaster.

"As for racism, Obama has used race as a key tactic during his presidential campaign and continues to use it."

How does he continue to use it? Example?

"It's been a powerful tactic, inciting blacks to vote for him 'because he is black'"

Any 'blacks' that would vote for him because he is black do not need inciting. And the disastrous campaign of John McCain and his highly unqualified running mate was likely the number one reason a large number of people voted Obama.

"He's used race to divide and polarize the people, turning them against each other and deflecting their gaze on him and his faults."

Yes, I must say conservatives (and to a much, much lesser extent Republicans) are indeed extreme.

They are extremely not DemocRats, they are extremely pissed off, and they are extremely not going to put up with DemocRat policies and behavior any more.

One thing we may all be sure of, the sheer outrage of Joe Average American is being actively hidden by the main stream media. They are downplaying what's on the street as hard and as fast as they can.

This mosque thing has more resonance than even the bank bailout. People in Arizona were having public freak-outs about that in the supermarket, I can only imagine what they have to say about the Obamamosque. Must be waving pistols in the air.

Gloves are on the ice folks, the MSM has lined up on Barry's side and the punching has started. This is going to be a brawl where the whole rink, stands and all, gangs up on one team and stomps 'em.

Unfortunately Americans are too dense to understand that the escalation of racial tensions is coming from the top down and not the other way around. It's unfortunate that Americans appear to be more likely to believe what the see and hear from the MSM and the WH opposed to what they've been experiencing in their lives. Besides Katrina, just a few short years ago "racial tensions" were not even on the political nor everyday radar.

Something has changed.

I agree ET, it has moved beyond their ability to hide it completely. Even with the usual massaged poles and biased samples, they are still getting 70% against numbers.

However, I maintain the only way to know the full weight of what's going on is to go hang out in the USA for a couple days and report back. The MSM are doing everything in their power to diminish, hide, obfuscate the mood of the country. Their power, though waning, remains considerable.

I think a few hours spent walking around Anywhere USA would be a real eye-opener. In support of my contention, I submit that most Democrats have suspended "town hall" events completely. They did that a while ago during the health care "debate", now with the Obamamosque thing they'd need armed security and body armor.

And a fast getaway car.

That's chump change compared to SEIU donations to Maobama's till: 80 MILLION dollars. And BP was on the hook for $1 million, and see where it got them.

Obama is a wholly-owned private/public union subsidiary. And it becomes plainer to see with each handout/bailout. Most recently: $26 billion to save NEA teacher pensions, when they are pulling in some $380 million a year. And where do they spend their money? About $49 million a year on teacher benefits compared to $50 million in political errands, based on last year's non-election year figures. Get that: more on political meddling than on teacher benefits, and they're whining about their pensions.

Don't hear you commenting on THAT, BTJ. Ahh well. Just haven't got 'round to it, I expect.

"Don't hear you commenting on THAT, BTJ"

Probably because that doesn't have anything to do with the conversation. People were discussing the role of the media in politics...the thread is about a media campaign (a tv commercial). I replied to a post saying the FOX news is open about polls that show the Dems are unfavorable. To which I responded that it should be no surprise...FOX news are in bed with the Republicans and made it official with a very publicly known donation.

Nothing more, nothing less...I wasnt implying that it is only the Republicans that receive outside funding, or that anything to that end.

Try being a little less reactive, and a whole lot more rational.

Most ironic line in the thread. Please admit you tried satire, and it failed. No sentient being could author that and actually intend on people taking it seriously.

Obama has used race as a dividing tactic. He's used race, the politics of envy, utter deceit and anything else to divide the people of the US as a method to hang on to power. Compare his moronic speeches to any of those by Reagan; who expressed hope and love for their country, and who apologizes for it and continually puts it down? Obama's the biggest divider in the country's history, and in November the electorate will show how how miserably he's failed on every front. The electoral bloodbath will be most gratifying to see, almost as gratifying as watching the exploding heads of olberman, matthews & Co.

This ad is just testing the waters.

What are you talking about? Are you deliberately ignoring all the private sector contributions to both parties? Obama began his presidency with the 2009 "Blame America Tour", and globetrotted around the terra firma, wasting no opportunity to apologize for america's "woes". Why, here was a portion of the world using a far greater percentage of its energy! Can't have that, can we? It's "unfair", a favorite liberal double-speak word. We have to get used to the idea that america can't be #1 in production or in the other areas it's led the earth in the last 100 years. Did you EVER hear Ronald Reagan speak like that?

Never. Reagan was NOT a political creature; he continually spoke of his love of the american system and his confidence in the american people. He was one of the biggest reasons the country felt a huge resurgence of pride in the 80s. Compare any of obama's "Gee, I'm sorry" pathetic blurbs to
any Reagan quotes. Notice any difference, BTJ? Who leaves you more uplifted and anticipating the future? Who leaves you wanting to put a gun in your mouth?

Obama has been about dividing the country from Day 1. He's had it in for those who are religious (except for muslims, of course) and own guns: remember his insulting "bitter clingers" speech? He's used the politics of envy to foment anger between classes, and he ramrodded through healthcare despite 2/3 of the population didn't want it. That too is a form of dividing the people against one another. As is his worthless and calculated stand on environmentalism, where he shut down oil drilling in the gulf (illegally) and is crippling the employment of gulf red states. Guess they should have voted dumbocrat, eh?

Now obama is threatened by legitimate opposition such as the Tea Party and Americans For Progress, and he never misses a chance at slamming them, and his minions (pelosi) are debating conducting investigations into the funding behind the latter. Disgusting, and worthy of hugo chavez.

Reagan loved his country, and it showed. Obama was brought up and associated with radical leftists (alinsky), racists ("rev" jeremiah wright), terrorists (ayers) and he has no use for the country and its roots/system, to say nothing of despising the middle class. It's easy to see if one ventures beyond the mainstream media who have carried obama's water from the beginning.

As for the Left's anti-semitism and bias against israel, there have been countless examples on this blog of this. And of the media's complicity. Look up "Jenin massacre" for starters, and then watch any footage and reaction by the obama administration to any self-defense taken by israel against terrorism. The peak of hypocrisy: obama lectures israel on not having "sensitivities" in building settlements in their own capital, but is gung-ho for muslims building the Victory Mosque at Ground Zero, and nary a thought to the sensitivities of New Yorkers or Americans in general at that act of provocation. Interestingly, obama/pelosi et al are stragely incurious about the funding behind the Hamosque, especially when the funds are likely funneled from the same country that funded 9/11. How odd.

"Unsupported anti-semitic claims". Ha! Or maybe, sorry, BTJ. You were being ironic again.

America hasn't been #1 in PRODUCTION for quite some time, by its own doing. And that has nothing to do with its energy CONSUMPTION.

"Compare any of obama's "Gee, I'm sorry" pathetic blurbs to
any Reagan quotes. Notice any difference, BTJ?"

Difference between what? You didn't provide any basis for comparison...you didn't provide ANY Obama quotes, you just spouted some words describing him. That's what I've been asking for some time now...QUOTE THE MAN if you're going to take such a strong opinion on his words.

"remember his insulting "bitter clingers" speech?"

No, I don't..so why don't YOU QUOTE HIM! For god's sake...quit spending all your time typing your own narrative and just make it easy...QUOTE HIM.

"despite 2/3 of the population didn't want it."

Any evidence to support that statement? Or like the rest of your post is it just your 'opinion'?

"As is his worthless and calculated stand on environmentalism, where he shut down oil drilling in the gulf (illegally) and is crippling the employment of gulf red states"

Haha...right..never mind that BP completely sh1t the bed.

""Unsupported anti-semitic claims". Ha! Or maybe, sorry, BTJ. You were being ironic again."

Again, what in christ's name are you talking about!? Quote my anti-Semitic statements.

"As for the Left's anti-semitism and bias against israel, there have been countless examples on this blog of this."

Haha...riiight...but you can't provide a link. Are you confusing criticizing Israel with being a 'jew hater'? I think so...a terribly ignorant and moronic fallacy.
