If they weren't a scum sucking stuck at the taxpayer trough company that would be funny. As it is, meh, couldn't car less if they ever sold another car or truck.

It is amusing how they brushed off PETA and took possession over the publicity stunt in one clever move. Perhaps other corporations will take this as an example, grow a spine, and realize positive publicity can be had from standing up to such annoying fringe special interest groups.

Chalk up another one for the Dodge Boys...

PETA are filled with closet white racists.

Oh, the inhumanity of it all a gun totin' pick-up truck. Now if we can just can the long gun registry and bring some sanity back into this country we might yet have a chance to turn things around!

PETAn substituted in with a detonator filled with (pick your flavour of stuff that goes BOOM).

That would be entertaining, progress and change we can believe in.

Talk about spanking the monkey...

To the degree that there is a problem of animal abuse -whatever that degree is- in advertising, circuses, zoos, whatever, it is sad and a tragedy.

However, with PETA's established history of acting like little fascist nutjobs, their credibility is zero. And unless all PETA members are complete vegetarians and never wear belts, shoes or other leather products, they're hypocrites as well.

As for me, I thought the commercial hilarious; I enjoy the company of domestic pets (except the obnoxious ones, chihuahuas and Jack Russells); I love a nice thick medium rare T bone. Oh, and I do wear belts and shoes.

Speedy (6:57 PM),
Looks like Dodge didn't waste all their bailout money. Hope Obama comes through with, "Anyone can buy a truck." (that was a promise, wasn't it?)

A monkey borrows $I000 from his master and takes off for the jungle. Once he gets there, he picks up an awful habit. He starts playing poker. Two weeks later he returns home, flat broke.

"You were only gone two weeks, and you lost a thousand bucks, what happened?" asks the master.

"Too many cheetahs!" answers the monkey.

A girl leaves her Saskatchewan farm home and moves to Toronto. Soon after she gets there, she realizes that bus and taxi fares cost a fortune, so she telegraphs home for $200 to buy a bike. He mom sends the money, the daughter goes to Eaton's to buy a new bike. On the way there, she sees a monkey in the window of a pet shop. She falls in love with the monkey, she buys it using up her entire $200, and forgets to write or telegraph home to tell her mom.
A month later, the monkey loses all of it's hair. She takes it to a vet, the doc says it will cost $200 to treat the damned monkey. So she telegraphs home, and writes as follows. "Please mom, send $200. My monkey has lost all of its hair."

The next day she gets a telegraph from her mom that simply reads, "Best to park bicycle."

No invisible animals were harmed in the making of this commercial.

It's the invisible flying monkeys that I have trouble with.
