The difference is that in the US the "progressives" hold the reins of power and not so in Canada...federally.......
In both nations the "progressives'" support is 10 miles wide and paper thin.

Sasquatch, if you don't think that "progressives" are firmly in control of Canada, I don't know what addl proof would do it.

Besides the two large "progressive" parties-Liberals and NDP-holding a plurality in Parliament, there's the unambiguously leftist MSM, what appears to be pretty much a "progressive"-controlled civil service, and a judiciary, especially a Supreme Court, that using the Trudeaupian Charter to act as a "progressive" super-legislature. Then there's Canada's "hate speech" laws, a practical euphemism for "progressive" censorship, enforced by the "progressive" Human Rights Councils.

In all fairness, we in Yankeestan now aren't a vast distance behind Canada, "progressive"-control-wise. But I'll agree that in both nations, the "progressive" politicians, talking-heads and MSM make their powerbase seem bigger and less vulnerable than they really are.

Are there one or two Canadian blogs you would recommend to follow politics from a conservative perspective?
