First! Kate for PM!!

Posted by: Roger at July 29, 2010 11:08 AM

Revolting. This appearance on The View completely trivializes the office of the Presidency. For BHO, being POTUS is all about the perks, adulation and celebrity. The whole governing thing, not so much.

Posted by: Colin from Mission B.C. at July 29, 2010 11:11 AM

According to Whoopi, "It wasn't really 'talk-talk'."

She went on, "It was more a narcissistic monologue, with we females there to just nod our heads, with simpering smiles on our faces." /sarc

Posted by: Dave in Pa at July 29, 2010 11:15 AM

Dave, the sad thing is, without the /sarc tag, it actually sounds more true.

puffball questions from the View girls for a puffball president.

Joyless Behar is finally Joyfull...

Posted by: Soccermom at July 29, 2010 11:23 AM

Gee. At least they're women and gossip show hosts. Anyone watch the Paul McCartney special from the White House? Rock'n'roll "rebels" acting like disgusting sycophants or little pet poodles is really vomit inducing. BHO is Dave Grohl's hero? OMFG! Sir Paul et al, you suck!

Posted by: Thomas_L..... at July 29, 2010 11:25 AM

What a slobber fest. Behar needed a drool cup.

Posted by: Boss429 at July 29, 2010 11:31 AM

I don't follow "the view" but was Elizabeth sedated heavily?

Posted by: sasquatch at July 29, 2010 11:40 AM

At least Obama - peace be upon him - brought some "much need estrogen to the show".

Posted by: Fiumara at July 29, 2010 11:40 AM

Reminds me of the sycophants around Trudeau, Hitler and Stalin.

Posted by: Ken (Kulak) at July 29, 2010 11:40 AM

The only thing left for this idiot president to do to please his fans is maybe some tap dancing. It worked for Sammy Davis Jr.

Posted by: Abe Froman at July 29, 2010 11:50 AM

Not the best thing to go with a Timmys up from the bottom of the hill. My morning routine and thence to my PC. Liberal (small l) spouse has the "View" on. I saw a clip of the glory days of President Obama. The uplifting eurphoric speech and that which brought him to power. Getting there was his incredible triumph. His associatest then crawled out of the woodwork and that is the awful thing. IMHO.

I can only repeat a joke that was not at all nice, on the late Johnny Carson show. It was at the time of the Iran crisis.

Carson: And now the bad news..... Barbara Walters is going to Iran to interview the Ayatolla Khoumaini (groans from audience).
And now the good news..... Ted Kennedy is going to drive her to the airport (cheers from the audience).

Posted by: Peter (Lock City) at July 29, 2010 11:51 AM

An "infomercial". What else would you expect from the clowns of Hollywood?

Posted by: Fiumara at July 29, 2010 11:40 AM

Ok, the rest of us can stop osting now on this thread. Nothing will ever top that.

Thankfully I decided to make sure I had no coffee in my mouth when I started reading this one. Coffee hurts coming through the nose.

Posted by: AtlanticJim at July 29, 2010 11:53 AM

I'm really not sure what is worse, that there are people that watch the View, or that B. Hussein Obama appeared on the show.

Posted by: TJ at July 29, 2010 12:00 PM

TJ, the worst part of The View are the dumb dumb DUMB corporations that buy the advertising, thinking anyone with two nickels to rub together is going to see it.

So not.

Posted by: The Phantom at July 29, 2010 12:03 PM

Do you mean you people actually watched The View? I made sure my TV was turned off. I have much better things to do,like cleaning my bath room, then watch such twaddle with a bunch of fools.
I see enough of o without torturing myself by listening to the likes of these women.

Posted by: Mary at July 29, 2010 12:11 PM

I'm afraid SDA missed the big story here.

As a bonus the link shows the actual sub that he ordered! For lunch I'm soooo going to pretend I'm eating the same sub to! *sigh*

If this doesn't work to pump his ratings there is always the Jerry Springer Show and Judge Joe Brown.
Too bad the Gong Show isn't around anymore...

Posted by: Stan at July 29, 2010 12:24 PM

Placebos! Placebos anyone!! Get your mindless, political placebos right here...

This guy is nothing more than a front for the pseudo-liberal, hypocritical oligarchy that basically says to the rest of us - here, take this stupid ideology and shove it where the sun don't shine. We're off to our yachts, our multi million dollar weddings, and our PR stunts. Don't call us, we'll call you. Btw, here's a youtube video for all you chumps...

Gawd. Pathetic.

Posted by: Maureen at July 29, 2010 12:52 PM

While i think the view and the POTUS appearing on it is ridiculous, i see this as evidence that this guy is by no means defeated, yet.

He is now playing to the segments of society that are least tuned-in (pardon the pun) to the political scene - elements that are suckers for a melliflous voice and a fashionable manner. If he can separate himself from the congress and senate dems and find ways to get these groups motivated to vote - and he has the charisma/star-power with the group to possibly do it, then 2012 is no slam-dunk.

Posted by: Gord Tulk at July 29, 2010 12:58 PM

Gord Tulk

Right now his latest maneuver to ACORN create 20-30 million new democratic voters is foundering despite a restarining order.

The irony is rich.

Raegan was castigated by the press as a no-talent, B-movie actor aspiring to the Presidency; now we have the spectacle of an incumbent President aspiring to be a no-talent TV personality. And the press is good with that.

Posted by: FredR at July 29, 2010 1:25 PM

Is he a girlie man or showing how comfortable he is in his maleness to hang with a bevy of gossiping females?

I watched the first minute, then had to turn it off.
He commented that he had been on the show before, and they corrected him that in fact it was his third time on the show. This is the same guy who is not sure how many states there are. Moron. Obamaramalamadingdong

Here's a 10 second clip of the view on YouTube thats sums up the show quite well:

Just to be perfectly clear, I don't watch The View. (Are you kidding me?) I heard about it on News 95.7 Radio Halifax and googled it.

The first thing I that came to mind: Take me now, Obama. Gotta tell Kate. :)

Here you have it folks! The testosterone remains of a by-product of fast declining, western civilisation in early 21st Century:

Barrack Hussein Obama, an effiminate, metro sexual male who was mainly raised by females; praised and cocooned.
Lefty, Ivy league educated with, like Kim Yong Il, a fetish for the glamour and tinsel of the entertainment world.

He craves the adulation and his choice to run for President was solely for that purpose. He knew he could finally meet any one he desires in the world and those are not obscure intellectuals.

Yes, the beginning of the end of western civilisation is well marked by who currently hold it's throne. An empty suit, bubble head, bull s#iter.

Posted by: cal2 at July 29, 2010 2:33 PM

"He needs to do something to try to turn around the perception he is overmatched by the responsibilities of the job."

In this case perception is reality: he IS overmatched by the responsibilities of the job.

He could try turning the Presidency into a 'Reality Show'. Call it 'Being the Man' or 'Stickin' it to Whitey'. Might bring those pesky ratings up.

Posted by: lyle bert at July 29, 2010 2:33 PM

I can see the movie now: "All the President's Women." A non-fiction film by Walters and Goldberg, two of the TV personalities hosting the first black president for ABC. The film depicts of love-in of sorts by those who dream of Utopian society and the messianic personality to whom they look to deliver them from the supposed greed of Wall Street.

Posted by: PhilM at July 29, 2010 2:36 PM

I didn't watch but would like to ask if he bowed to BabaWawa when he came out.

Posted by: Alienated at July 29, 2010 2:39 PM

I read elsewhere that he called black people a "mongel Race". Imagine if a conservative said that.

Posted by: West at July 29, 2010 3:03 PM

Just curious, but I can't recall one picture of Obama and family vacationing in Bar Harbour.

I really feel for the Americans. Google Unemployment Stories and read some of the accounts of families about to end up in the street because they can't find any work.

Michael Medved contrasted His Majesty's appearance with this column by Daniel Henninger.

No matter what political stripe you are, one thing is for sure: This November's elections in America are a verdict about what direction their nation wishes to go in.

He fits right in with the Ladies.
I wonder where their gonna put the teleprompter so he can answer dim witted questions by these cows?
The poor Janitor, so little time so much slime to clean up. The slobbering that will ensue by his worshipers, would cause Diabetes in normal folks.
For this he missed a centennial of young men known as scouts? Priorities?

I can say one thing about this little get together, he finally got to sit with his intellectual peers.

Posted by: Western Canadian at July 29, 2010 4:54 PM

Quite aside from how I feel about anyone involved, this sort of thing is completely beneath the office of the Presidency (and no, I didn't watch it).

Trust a pathological narcissist not to understand that kind of nuance.

(But I keep asking; doesn't he have advisors?)

Posted by: Black Mamba at July 29, 2010 4:54 PM

Obummer hasn't had a national press conference in over a year, and wouldn't take questions from the media after this pathetic sycophantic PR stunt, but that doesn't seem to bother the media one bit. Dangerous sycophantic worshipping of an empty suit... scary shit. I'm not sure who's more dangerous, Obummer, or the media hacks who drool at his feet, rather than doing their job.

Posted by: Sean M at July 29, 2010 5:24 PM

I may have to avoid SDA for a day or two. I just can't stomach seeing that picture when I log on. Maybe we could change the picture to something more palatable like say a steaming dog turd.

Posted by: gord at July 29, 2010 5:48 PM

Posted by: zilla at July 29, 2010 8:16 PM

Isn't it sexist for Obama to think he can win back women voters through simply appearing on a women's talk show?

Posted by: Kyla at July 29, 2010 8:23 PM

An adult who wishes to take himself and his office seriously does not appear on some godawful menopausal talk show to be drooled over and congratulated for doing bloody nothing. That being said, Obama is not an adult who takes his office seriously.

Didn't watch. Did Elizabeth challenge him at all? I know she can not stand the man. I wouldn't be surprised if she was not allowed to ask certain questions - when Michelle Obama was on - they were geiven a list of questions they could and could not ask and Elizabeth was given a talking to for leaking that fact to the press.

Thomas_L - Saw part of the McCartney thing on Global News (surprised?) and it was truly revolting.
The main thing is that we remember what he said. I doubt if the entire I.Q. of the Beatles (when there were four) wouldn't break 100. McCartney has turned into a babbling old English fuddy-duddy, not much different than the disappointing Prince of Wales. Charles hasn't the genes of either his mom or his dad.
