Who's murdering Muslims?
Now: one bomb goes off in Karachi and a second in set off in the hospital to which victims are being taken:
Note that the victims are Muslims and that the deed and tactics are those of other Muslims (though one supposes some, somewhere, will suggest the CIA did it).
Let us know if any Canadian Muslim organization of note has anything to say. Remember such killings do not have the cover of raison d'état, thin or thick as one may make that. These actions are simply those of self-organized and self-justified people who choose to obliterate the lives of many other people. Muslims. Go figure.
Then there is Karbala kaboom.
Update: On the mind of two apparently important Canadian Muslim organizations:

Posted by: Oz at February 5, 2010 7:47 PMMark, I'm sure your comment about the CIA was tongue in cheek, but...
I remember in the Iran/Iraq war, the West supplied Saddam with arms, while the Russkis supplied Iran. I'm sure both sides were happy to sit back, and see them waste men and money killing each other.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was some plan (maybe public, maybe private?) to supply arms/bombs to Muslim countries to keep the Sunni/Shia and other internecine conflicts going, thinking "it's better to have them killing each other over there, than trying to kill us over here". It doesn't seem like they need very much provocation.

"Chapter II. Wounded and Sick
Art. 12. Members of the armed forces and other persons mentioned in the following Article, who are wounded or sick, shall be respected and protected in all circumstances.
They shall be treated humanely and cared for by the Party to the conflict in whose power they may be, without any adverse distinction founded on sex, race, nationality, religion, political opinions, or any other similar criteria. Any attempts upon their lives, or violence to their persons, shall be strictly prohibited; in particular, they shall not be murdered or exterminated, subjected to torture or to biological experiments; they shall not wilfully be left without medical assistance and care, nor shall conditions exposing them to contagion or infection be created.
Only urgent medical reasons will authorize priority in the order of treatment to be administered.
Women shall be treated with all consideration due to their sex. The Party to the conflict which is compelled to abandon wounded or sick to the enemy shall, as far as military considerations permit, leave with them a part of its medical personnel and material to assist in their care.
Art. 18. The military authorities may appeal to the charity of the inhabitants voluntarily to collect and care for, under their direction, the wounded and sick, granting persons who have responded to this appeal the necessary protection and facilities. Should the adverse Party take or retake control of the area, he shall likewise grant these persons the same protection and the same facilities.
The military authorities shall permit the inhabitants and relief societies, even in invaded or occupied areas, spontaneously to collect and care for wounded or sick of whatever nationality. The civilian population shall respect these wounded and sick, and in particular abstain from offering them violence.
No one may ever be molested or convicted for having nursed the wounded or sick.
The provisions of the present Article do not relieve the occupying Power of its obligation to give both physical and moral care to the wounded and sick."

I've never heard of CIA operatives that are muslims, so I don't see how they could have been involved.
"mehr" (or "new", if you'd rather) provides a word that I'd never seen before: Munafiq.
From Wikipedia: an Islamic Arabic term used to describe a religious hypocrite, who outwardly practices Islam, while inwardly concealing his disbelief (kufr), perhaps even unknowingly. . . The Qur'an has hundreds of ayāt (verses) discussing munāfiqūn, referring to them as more dangerous to Muslims than the worst non-Muslim enemies of Islam.
As "new" semi-coherently wrote "they are not Muslim Monfeq treat is worst than Kafer who deny the god"
Presumably "new"'s view is shared by a sufficient portion of the Sunni Muslim majority, otherwise these events would be uncommon. Clearly from the Sunni point of view they are Muslims killing "non-Muslims."
Which of course is cool according to the Religion Of Peace (tm).
Posted by: Mississauga Matt at February 5, 2010 9:12 PMI keep stating the same thought...where are the majority of Muslims in this country and in Europe that are not butchers standing out against this crime? No where to be seen or heard. They will not call out their own. Foucking cowards.

“Obama statue in Jakarta will be removed after protests on internet
A statue of the young Barack Obama, intended to commemorate the time he lived in Indonesia as a boy, is to be removed from a park in Jakarta after a campaign of protest on the internet.
The decision to remove the “Barry Dream Statue”, which depicts a 10-year-old Obama Jr smiling as a butterfly alights on his left thumb, is an embarrassment to both governments, coming as it does just over a month before the president’s first official visit to Indonesia.
The Jakarta governor’s office confirmed that the 6ft-tall bronze sculpture will be moved from Menteng Park in the centre of the city to a nearby primary school that the future president attended in the late 1960s.
The bronze Obama is depicted carrying the Nobel peace prize around his neck; on the statue’s plinth is a quotation from Eleanor Roosevelt: “The future belongs to those who believe in the power of their dreams.” Opponents of the statue argued that its place should be reserved for Indonesian heroes, or at least for leaders who have done more than Mr Obama to prove themselves worthy of a place in history.
“Obama has not yet contributed anything significant to Indonesia, or even the world, that warrants him having a statue in, ironically, one of the nicest parks in Jakarta,” wrote one columnist in the Jakarta Post. “Much like his Nobel peace prize, his statue is unwarranted.””

So do I suspect that we will see a tactic like this in the Uk or US or some other Western country. Absolutely.
One other tactic they have used once, and maybe its an ace in the hole for sometime later, is how they got Ahmad Shah Massoud, leader of the Northern Alliance. Done 2 days prior to Spet 11...
"Massoud was the target of a successful suicide attack at Khwaja Bahauddin, Afghanistan on September 9, 2001. The attackers' names were alternately given as Dahmane Abd al-Sattar, husband of Malika El Aroud, and Bouraoui el-Ouaer; or 34-year-old Karim Touzani and 26-year-old Kacem Bakkali.[30] The attackers claimed to be Belgians originally from Morocco. However, their passports turned out to be stolen and their nationality was later determined to be Tunisian. The assassins claimed to want to interview Massoud and then, while asking Massoud questions, set off a bomb in the camera, killing Massoud."

From Mark's suggestion of wikipedia:
The United States assisted Iraq through a military aid program known as "Bear Spares", whereby the U.S. military "made sure that spare parts and ammunition for Soviet or Soviet-style weaponry were available to countries which sought to reduce their dependence on the Soviets for defense needs."[15] According to Howard Teicher's court sworn declaration:
If the "Bear Spares" were manufactured outside the United States, then the U.S. could arrange for the provision of these weapons to a third country without direct involvement. Israel, for example, had a very large stockpile of Soviet weaponry and ammunition captured during its various wars. At the suggestion of the United States, the Israelis would transfer the spare parts and weapons to third countries... Similarly, Egypt manufactured weapons and spare parts from Soviet designs and provided these weapons and ammunition to the Iraqis and other countries.
Further, from the same article:
"Saddam did foresee one immediate consequence of his invasion of Iran: the suspension of arms supplies from the USSR."
So the US didn't supply Iraq with F-16's; they did make sure they were supplied with weapons, and also supplied Iraq with satellite recon data. Later, they provided Iraq with military helicopters, and while not actually giving them to Iraq, provided advanced ASW choppers under US control.
The Iraqis attacked the USS Stark; the US accepted Iraq's apology and did not retaliate. The USS Samuel Roberts was damaged by an Iranian mine; the US retaliated by destroying two Iranian ships.
Samsquanch, I suppose you interpret this as neutrality on the part of the US.

The "West" did not supply Saddam during the Iran/Iraq War. The chief arms supplier to Saddam from beginning to end was ALWAYS Russia. The second leading arms supplier to him was France.
During the I/I War, the US sold him some UTILITY helicopters, agricultural equipment and chemicals, and other light materials such as spare parts. The Russians supplied him with more than 100 times the aid we provided. Russia played both sides of the war. Don't believe everything you read on Wiki.
France provided 30 times the aid we did.
The chief US aid to Saddam was strategic intelligence. It helped him to repel wave upon wave of fanatic Basij warriors
Why were we helping him? Because the prospect of Iran overrunning Iraq and forming a Shiite Revolutionary Superstate which would control or threaten the region was unacceptable. We maintained a delicate balance of power, executed quite brilliantly - a strategy supported by both democrats and republicans. The net result was two weakened dictatorships. Iraq invaded Kuwait to pay for his enormous war debts and to divert growing dissent. He was emboldened by April Glaspie, a weak ambassador who sent the wrong political messages when Iraq hinted at war.
You're one of these people who WANT to believe we were complicit with Saddam and bin Laden. It's frothing conspiracy theory lunacy.

May bring Harper fear to got let him go. His mother do not like to live in Canada any way this is win win for both parties. No criminal record but get under political public safety settlement.
why?
In January 2010, the Supreme Court ruled that Khadr's constitutional rights had clearly been violated, but it stopped short of ordering the government to seek his return to Canada.
why?

On other hand Harper does not like to return him then must find other place for him to go better than to stay in jail.
why?
his parents were strange life style and his link was radical Wahabi anti shia kind of Muslim not like it to stay in Canada.
In 2009, it was revealed that the government had spent over $1.3 million to ensure Khadr remained in Guantanamo.[14]
Government spends 1.3 million over 9 years wasted.
They can settle it with $ 7 million.
If war criminal then war is not ended
If criminal no evidence attached to it
If youth association with criminal then it is better off to not bother with youth criminal when they have option to go and not waste money
Because he keep back and forth from Pakistan- Afghanistan to Canada and stay in wrong place of war zone while Canada was has war with Taliban
if he or his parents was spy against Canada country security they will watch him for 15 years out of Canada if he is ok
FOUND guilty of "Attempt in association and break law with criminal group in war zone"
like suspended order or conditional discharge for 5 years with probation to get supervised under mental assessment psychiatric and gave him security guard too
or no pro for next 15 years to not back to Canada
if has not problems in next 15 years he can back to Canada
but still his right was broken government must pay him money and let his mother be attendance care for him or some one from family far away to take care of him
