Missed by the MSM as they are all non-newsworthy stories and only serve to promote how desperate and asinine the right-wingers are to "create" news.
Posted by: T at December 31, 2009 1:26 PM'they' seem to be batting 1000....
....when will anyone notice tho ?
Posted by: john begley at December 31, 2009 1:42 PMKate, I's surprised that mine is the first comment to this article. Van Jones outing couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
Posted by: Ken (Kulak) at December 31, 2009 1:44 PMMissed by the MSM as they are all non-newsworthy stories and only serve to promote how desperate and asinine the right-wingers are to "create" news.
Hidden by the MSM as they are all very newsworthy stories and only serve to display how desperate and asinine the left-wingers are to "create" opinion.
Posted by: Brent Weston at December 31, 2009 1:45 PMThat would be "I'm".
Posted by: Ken (Kulak) at December 31, 2009 1:46 PMWhat, no hat tip? Check out the poll that is affiliated to the article too - looks like teaparty is just a little ahead of climategate as the biggest "oversight".
As for the most covered story this latest installment means that it may be th most heavily covered in 2010 too:

Posted by: Gord Tulk at December 31, 2009 1:48 PMI see this as a good thing. The more stories they don't report for idealogical reasons the more people will wake up to the fact that they are not getting real news from the pajama media anymore. Blogs like this one will then become the source for more and more people. They are fast becoming irrelevant.
Posted by: kevin at December 31, 2009 1:49 PMSo T, what are the nine stories that we "asinine" right- wingers (always with the ad hominems these guys on the left) missed.
And do you really believe all of these stories are "non"? Tea partiers were mentioned by none other than The One, ACORN put Glenn beck on the cover of TIME, And climategate was a very big factor in scuttling Copenhagen.
Posted by: Gord Tulk at December 31, 2009 1:58 PMThe worst thing the MSM could do to help lead it's own demise, is suggesting to its viewers to verify all stories and it's sources as well as making sure to broaden your scope of information.
Posted by: Knacker at December 31, 2009 2:01 PMT is for troll...that's good enough for me.
Posted by: Edward Teach at December 31, 2009 2:16 PMKen (Kulak) - and that would be "third":-)
(T is the lamest of our trolls, IMHO.)
Posted by: Black Mamba at December 31, 2009 2:20 PMAsteroid?
That is so 2009.
We won't have to worry about asteroids no more.
Russia may send spacecraft to knock away asteroid
Press Writer Vladimir Isachenkov, Associated Press Writer – 15 mins ago MOSCOW – Russia is considering sending a spacecraft to a large asteroid to knock it off its path and prevent its collision with Earth — a collision NASA considers highly unlikely — the head of the country's space agency said Wednesday.
Now that a year year is starting, we do not have to worry about global warming no more, and not even those pesky asteroids.
Happy New Year to all.
:-)
T has been on Mum's machine all morning.
must be a big sale at the mall.
Posted by: cal2 at December 31, 2009 2:39 PMBlack Mamba, yes I know, I thought I would be the first non troll comment, John beat me to it.
"Russia may send spacecraft to knock away asteroid."
Hmmm, do I smell another global emergency requiring massive thefts of tax dollars?
I miss new, at least he was genuine.
Posted by: Indiana Homez at December 31, 2009 3:12 PM"I miss new": Who woulda thunk such a thing would ever be said on SDA? In fact, you might curse yourself; she (new's at least ostensibly a "she", dude) has been dormant before.
Anyway, Happy New Year!
(That's not a pun. It just happened. Gives me the creeps.)
Posted by: Black Mamba at December 31, 2009 3:40 PMAs pointed out on a previous thread the media likes to make stuff up in bars. He does not relate who is buying the drinks. Wafergate and all of the hoopla about detainees gives me a good idea of who is buying the drinks. We will tell you what the news is and by inflection who the bad people are.
Posted by: Speedy at December 31, 2009 3:56 PMokay okay, careful what you wish for right??
anyways, that tid bit was 4 u, i thought it might get you going:)
happy new year Mamba
btw, 4 me, everyone is a "dude" on sda unless otherwise noted. It's my way of being "progressive" and it keeps me thinking with brain#1.
Posted by: Indiana Homez at December 31, 2009 4:02 PMI doubt if any of these stories were missed by the MSM. I believe that various editorial staffs simply chose not to run them since it would do harm to their attempts to brain-wash the public into falling for the perverted lefty line. Like the warmists at East Anglia, they simply elected to bury the bad news.

Posted by: curious_george at December 31, 2009 5:24 PMFor me,the high point of MSM malfeasance was when the Hadley CRU E-mails had been released and were already common knowledge on the internet and even Fox News, and I tuned into Global National News to see how they reported it.
I had expected that Hadley would be the top story. I was wrong.Really wrong.
The top story of Global's National News,"with Kevin Newman", was TIGER WOODS SEX LIFE!
There was not a single mention of Hadley on the entire broadcast! I was astounded!
So, Global Canada wants to be taken seriously as a reliable news source, but puts a gossip column item about an American sports star as their headline story.
Woods travails belong on "Entertainment Tonight", not a News program.
Most of the MSM is stuck on a "teen fan mag" mentality.
Mamba
9 missed stories, and one really leftist, self proclaimed kommie and all, freeman!!!!
I'll give you three guesses as to wot I'm referring:-))))
just bolsters my "observations":-))))
GYM - dude! Are you auditioning to be the new new? 'Cause I don't follow. And am soon off to divest myself of my sobriety, although frankly I prefer it here, which probably means I need to get one of those "lives" I keep hearing about...
Posted by: Black Mamba at December 31, 2009 6:38 PMIf Tiger Woods' escapades were more newsworthy than the nine "nonstories" listed, our priorities are WAY out of whack.
Posted by: Osumashi Kinyobe at December 31, 2009 7:33 PMKate, you should photoshop that dinosaur. It needs to look more like a suicide than an extinction.
Maybe it could be sticking a knife in its own back. And its head, its butt, left knee...
Posted by: The Phantom at December 31, 2009 7:58 PMI'm with Powell on this one. To suggest these stories were "missed" would imply only incompetence. While the lame stream media has its fair share of incompetence, I personally am of the belief these stories were deliberately buried by agenda-driven editors.
Posted by: Colin from Mission B.C. at December 31, 2009 9:05 PMIf Tiger Woods' escapades were more newsworthy than the nine "nonstories" listed, our priorities are WAY out of whack.
The Tiger Woods story clearly highlights the political ramifications of Sport as a diversionary tool by the media and by our politicians who support sports with our taxes.
Bread and Circuses.
regarding mr tiger woods, A.T.&T. just dropped him from their ads.
there will be more of this.
Posted by: curious_george at January 1, 2010 6:52 AMFox is being charitable in saying the lamestream media "missed" these stories. This word must be a euphemism for "ignored". Alas, these stories did not fit the leftie narrative promoted by so much of the media in the US and Canada.
E.g. "climategate" was about 10 days old and all over the Internet before the CBC even mentioned it. They have tried their best to ignore it ever since, blithely carrying on with their global warming scare-mongering. They are too ideologically committed to recognize that the props have been kicked out from under that whole rotten construct.
Posted by: JMD at January 1, 2010 10:47 AMYou would think they'd be happy Man Made global warming and the data associated with it was all wrong, and here they are genuinely upset the end of the world is NOT nigh.
