Yeah, this story has to be more important than anything!

In my heart I hope Tiger's involved with Paris Hilton,so ALL the MSM can concentrate on two of the most important people on Earth.

Even more important than Al Gore.

Sorry Al.

Posted by: dmorris at November 29, 2009 6:04 PM

No kidding, this will be front and center for the next month.
BTW, the original report stated his wife used the golf club to break a window to rescue him, which at the time seemed odd to me.

Posted by: gobi desert at November 29, 2009 6:10 PM

Tiger Woods seems to be a nice guy. The fact that he may have marital issues (like mere mortals) is something that the MSM can jump on rather than covering the "inconvenient truth" about climate change is no surprise. The sheeple would rather hear about a celebrity's problems than admit to the fact that the world has been lead down the garden path.

How does that song go? I don't carrrrrre I don't carrrrre I don't care I don't care I don't carrrrrrre.

"No kidding, this will be front and center for the next month."

Especially if there's a blond involved.

Al Gore is really a blonde!?

Who would have thought...

Yah, Tiger Williams is a good guy. Paris Hilton, on the other hand, .....

The thought of anyone being romantically involved with Gore is puke inducing. Although I'm sure he's trying to orchestrate a colossal distraction equal to the other distraction that isn't going on.

Posted by: Louise at November 29, 2009 6:27 PM

Call me callous but I would assume that as a trophy bride she knew going into the marriage that he would have affairs. I thought it was a given.

Of course now she'll be tried for a hate crime and for spousal abuse.

Posted by: gord at November 29, 2009 6:27 PM

Finally, a decent picture of Al.

Posted by: Ken (Kulak) at November 29, 2009 6:28 PM

That's almost as nasty as Rosie O,glad I wasn't sipping anything at the time.

Posted by: h.ryan at November 29, 2009 6:30 PM

As much as climategate is a far more serious story, we'd be more than a little fanatical to discuss nothing but. Tiger Woods being chased down the driveway by his golf club wielding wife IS news. It would have been a heck of a bigger story if his quest to overtake Nichlaus was derailed because his wife took out his kneecaps.

Posted by: bob c at November 29, 2009 6:41 PM

Maybe she called him Eldrick.

Posted by: Peter O'Donnell at November 29, 2009 6:44 PM

WOnder how the NYT will cover the Woods story?

We know how they have covered the Arctic Climate story . . .
From the New York Times, 128 years of looming polar doom:

• 1881: “This past Winter, both inside and outside the Arctic circle, appears to have been unusually mild. The ice is very light and rapidly melting …”

• 1932: “NEXT GREAT DELUGE FORECAST BY SCIENCE; Melting Polar Ice Caps to Raise the Level of Seas and Flood the Continents”

• 1934: “New Evidence Supports Geology’s View That the Arctic Is Growing Warmer”

• 1937: “Continued warm weather at the Pole, melting snow and ice.”

• 1954: “The particular point of inquiry concerns whether the ice is melting at such a rate as to imperil low-lying coastal areas through raising the level of the sea in the near future.”

• 1957: “U.S. Arctic Station Melting”

• 1958: “At present, the Arctic ice pack is melting away fast. Some estimates say that it is 40 per cent thinner and 12 per cent smaller than it was fifteen years [ago].”

• 1959: “Will the Arctic Ocean soon be free of ice?”

• 1971: “STUDY SAYS MAN ALTERS CLIMATE; U.N. Report Links Melting of Polar Ice to His Activities”

• 1979: “A puzzling haze over the Arctic ice packs has been identified as a byproduct of air pollution, a finding that may support predictions of a disastrous melting of the earth’s ice caps.”

• 1982: “Because of global heating attributed to an increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide from fuel burning, about 20,000 cubic miles of polar ice has melted in the past 40 years, apparently contributing to a rise in sea levels …”

• 1999: “Evidence continues to accumulate that the frozen world of the Arctic and sub-Arctic is thawing.”

• 2000: “The North Pole is melting. The thick ice that has for ages covered the Arctic Ocean at the pole has turned to water, recent visitors there reported yesterday.”

• 2002: “The melting of Greenland glaciers and Arctic Ocean sea ice this past summer reached levels not seen in decades, scientists reported today.”

• 2004: “There is an awful lot of Arctic and glacial ice melting.”

• 2005: “Another melancholy gathering of climate scientists presented evidence this month that the Antarctic ice shelf is melting - a prospect difficult to imagine a decade ago.”

More breaking news. Apparently Tiger's interest in the other woman wasn't sexual, but rather about dancing. He was overheard saying that she was really good at the head bob boogie. (Kidding, obviously)

Posted by: bob c at November 29, 2009 6:55 PM

This week's news articles lamenting the plight of polar bears that have had to succumb to cannibalism due to Climate Change were laughable.

A few years back, I did a lot of research on polar bears and grizzlies. The library books, which were NOT NEW, claimed that sometimes adult male polar bears eat baby polar bears, even their own, and for this reason, the mommy polar bears hide their babies in dens made for this purpose in the SNOW.

Where is the outrage in the feminist community?

Bear bigotry?

"Al Gore is really a blonde!?"

Barf! Now it looks like Wendy Cukier!

At Jacksnewswatch he has a video on the hopychangie temperature thingie starring unca mo, big steer dehorned gore, Tim Ball, Republican House leader of the US - who uses the home team word, Hell, right in congress-, no sazookee (too unimportant), Ron Paul, Barry O, GW Bush, big bankers....it's a long listen but worth it, IMO. The video is called "The Fall of the Republic" and it is in the right hand corner of Jack's homepage. It explains the fanatical ideology behind the AGW, in plain English, for regular people like me.

Maybe sda could link to that video and put it in the archive, even short clips are worth listening to, IMO.

Louise, do you forget that algore said the book Love Story was based on his and Tippers relationship. And who can forget that kiss on TV.
Think of all the great things he has done, invented the internet and inspired a great book and movie.
I mean Love Story, not his farce.

Geez guys:

bourque.com had a picture of Tiger's alleged affariee yesterday.

It pays to be careful around beautiful women of Nordic ethnicity when something displeases them and there are long handled objects ending in heavy metal shapes at hand. The layers of domestication fall away and you face the full fury of the viking. The redheads are the most instantly dangerous, the blonds are usually more slowpaced, calculating, and bloodthirsty.

In times of stress repeatedly recite the following if unable to outrun or hide from your pursuer:

Summa pia gratia nostra conservando corpora et custodita, de gente fera Normannica nos libera, quæ nostra vastat, Deus, regna.
Senum jugulat et juvenum ac virginium puerorum quoque catervam.
Repelle, precamur, cuncta a nobis mala.
Amen.

Maybe she broke the Caddy window on her last swing as she cooled down. Anyway, isn't he supposed to be driving a Buicky?

Fred @ 6:54, do you have a URL for that?

Posted by: Louise at November 29, 2009 8:07 PM

chutzpahticular, when I was a kid growing up on the farm, we occasionally had a mother cat who would eat her young. Not a big surprise, AFAIC.

Go Riders!!! Don't blow it in the second half!!!!

"Al Gore is really a blonde!?"

Cuffs and collar don't match.

Posted by: gord at November 29, 2009 8:13 PM

God, it's no wonder he wants to keep his personal live private. That's certainly not the way to go about it. If true, I think wedding vows apply to billionaires as well as the rest of us.

Posted by: larben at November 29, 2009 8:25 PM

so it seems Tiger ain't the only one in that fambly can swing a golf club. LOL !!!

"hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"

you go girl. go after aaallllll that endorsement and prize money.

A "NIKE driver" a Mizuno "rescue" club or a "Ping" putter?

Go Saskatchewan!

Tiger's gotta work on his driving this off-season.

Does taking out the back window of an Escalade qualify you for a slot on the LPGA Tour?

Posted by: john at November 29, 2009 11:21 PM

Al may has to put on that a wig to not get recognized in the future according to this story.

http://www.larouchepac.com/node/12520

He doesn't get smarter neither after predicting big floods buying a ocean frond property was dumb.
Now he has a book signing for his book that demonizes cars in a city that lives on building cars.

What! More violence against women!

Ban golf clubs now!!

I generally wish to see Tiger not win, but still I find myself hoping that the alleged affair turns out to be the product of someone's overactive imagination.

Re: "How does that song go? I don't carrrrrre I don't carrrrre I don't care I don't care I don't carrrrrrre."

The only song I can think of that goes like that is The Boy With The Thorn In His Side by the Smiths.

Posted by: nv53 at November 30, 2009 1:55 AM

Somebody should tell the media, especially that lurid TMZ and the National Enquirer that WE DON'T CARE and there are much more important fish to fry. And I do mean FRY. If the National Enquirer were , uh, ENquiring enough they would be all over climategate but no, Tiger Woods is the most important story and Tiger appears , at least right now, to be NOT talking. I hope he keeps it that way. It ain't none of anybody's business.

Posted by: Snowbunnie at November 30, 2009 2:29 AM

From the link it says they want access to TWs medical records. Hmmm.

Somehow I missed the fact that the golf club may have been wielded with more retaliatory intent than that of rescue. That is really too bad. I liked the classy way Woods comports himself - it's an example for children, adults and certainly other athletes. I hadn't thought about it as a diversion from AGW reality.

He and the Mrs. appear to have over and under-estimated each other but I have no sympathy other than they'll have no privacy throughout the aftermath. She is Gump-esque in appearance and surely a gold digger. He should stick to Americans.

What do Tiger Woods and baby seals have in common? They both get clubbed by Scandinavians! (groan)
