I always get the: "I have this GREAT idea... finish the design process, make the engineering drawings, and be my manufacturing consultant for free, then quote the costs for 10, 50, 500, 4000, 10000 units! This will be so huge man!"

When I gave them the quote they jumped up and down and said great you can start today. I replied with I need 1/2 down and the remainder in 3 post dated checks set for 2 weeks apart. Guess how much money they had.
