In Conversation With Tom Friedman's House, A Continuing Series ....

Ready to sacrifice?

Would you accept my first born son?

And for good measure lets have a bonus sacrifice of wife and daughters...

I wasn't aware that Aztec sacrifice was in vogue.

As you know its for a good cause...heating the splash pool in the back yard.

Certainly someone out there has to have a picture of Suzuki's estate. (Estates?)
We should be exposing that SOB's hypocrisy in the same manner.

Posted by: Ghost of Ed at November 23, 2009 12:09 PM

People had hoped that his unique story, personality and speaking skills could bring the country together

I wonder if Friedman ever notices the distinct lack of actual accomplishments in his description of Obama's supposed virtues.

Posted by: Waterhouse at November 23, 2009 12:10 PM

If someone will get me a confirmed Google overhead of the Suzuki's ocean front abode, I will be happy to comply.

Posted by: Kate at November 23, 2009 12:13 PM

Friedman is an idiot and is the Chairman of the Commie Club over at the NYT, where he and Krugman dutifully stroke each others egos and dream of an utopia not constrained by that pesky democracy that leads to "suboptimal" results.

So Mr Friedman move to China and take your buddy Krugman with you! Oh I forgot in China you would have even less influence than you have now, that would just not work for you would it?

You see Tommy boy capitalism and democracy with a little human rights is so "suboptimal" that it has made you are a success, where in the society that you advocate you would be a jail cell occupant or a nameless factory worker, so put that reality into your evaluation next time you spout your communist rant.

WoW!!!! Note this Kate.

Posted by: noel at November 23, 2009 12:26 PM

And those are just the servants' quarters.

Posted by: andycanuck at November 23, 2009 12:43 PM

And I don't know that a photo of Suzuki's manor house would make any difference to the true believers. I pointed out that Suzuki had a $5-million house on an island to an acquaintance and he said it was probably loaded with energy-saving devices etc. so he probably used less energy than an ordinary suburban house like ours so it was okay.

Champagne socialists.

Limousine Liberals.

Give me 5 minutes in a locked room with these people. Please.

How hard could it be to identify a conspicuously overgrown large plot having a line running from it to dump sewage into Heriot Bay. :P

Posted by: K Stricker at November 23, 2009 12:56 PM

Oh please...
What is the effect of one big house in the face of all of the millions of unwashed peasants breeding countless carbon producing spawn?

Besides, he's elite, his carbon don't stink.

The only way to get a pic of Suzukis house(Quadra Island) would be from a boat, everything heavily treed from road. Why there are no pics of his Kitsalano house on the internet I do not know, there should be.

Posted by: bob at November 23, 2009 1:01 PM

is it on the herriot bay side of quadra?

Ive scanned with google earth looking for a pulpit but the resolution isnt good enough.

I think I may be able to google earth the kitsalano mansion. anyone know if he parks the ecobus nearby?

Posted by: cal2 at November 23, 2009 1:09 PM

Kate - The google satellite pic doesn't have much detail he is about 1/4 mile North of Heriot Bay on Quadra Island.

Posted by: ∞² at November 23, 2009 1:11 PM

why are there no pictures?

another coverup by the MSM , especially from CBCpravda who mail cheques there

Posted by: cal2 at November 23, 2009 1:16 PM

Suzuki doesn't have a listing in Canada 411.

Needless to say his Kits house is worth a bundle. Small lots, just the lots sell for $1.5 million +++

I recall he even has waterfront or waterview . . that could double the lot value.

Posted by: Fred at November 23, 2009 1:33 PM

"In Conversation With Tom Friedman's House" - Ha! An instant classic. I look forward to further installments.

Posted by: EBD at November 23, 2009 1:59 PM

How much do NYT columnists make, anyway?

Posted by: John Lewis at November 23, 2009 3:55 PM

Suzuki's mansion in Kitsilano? ...

IF, one were to drive a cherry-picker down to Kitsilano yacht club, one just might get a good photo of Davidian Scarezuki's main place, -- or is it palace?

It would be easy for any Vancouver Real Estate Agent to verify the occupants and assessment of 2475 Point Grey Road -- not to mention the associated, supposed 2477 Point Grey Road, often cited, but uncharted on the map. I think there could be a neat scheme here to hide an address. Thinking I am, just thinking.

Check out VanMap (

Nice giant eco-gobblers those.

OK - there's the challenge. In celebration of the finder, finding and posting the pic, I will set 2 tons of wet maple/oak leaves on fire so the belching CO2 can help our greenery grow -- for next year.

IF you find the man himself you could ask him about those final days at the UofA -- why did he leave, for example. Then run.

rent a 172 and over fly the Zookers dump, and don't forgit the camera:-))))

So, what happened to individual conscience?

How come so many of our politicians, talking heads, patrician citizens, media pundits, are such sh*ts?

'No coincidence that crap and corruption on such a massive scale dovetails with the G*d-is-dead-who-needs-Him? meme in the brave new world of the latter-day secular-humanist West.

The inmates are running the asylum, the high-rollers are controlling the loot, the rogue scientists are populating the Academy.

'No wonder the
Desert Fathers/Mothers ran for the hills.

Funnily enough, when I opened this thread, my husband and I were watching Tom Friedman being interviewed on Charlie Rose.

What a wanker. He was going on and on about the loss of polar bears and the melting ice cap and I wanted to yell at the TV, "WHERE THE H*LL'VE YOU BEEN, YOU JERK?

Well, I guess he was playing tennis, swimming in his pool, giving instructions to the maids, listening to Algore, or parking his BMW.

Posted by: batb at November 23, 2009 7:59 PM

Phoned Jim Prentices office today and the person was very good to speak to, the use/less idiots were protesting outside for Jim to sign a paper to save the earth, ridding it of the maggots as Suzuker calls man, including himself. This scam is well past its due date, time to JAIL the theives behind it and demand restitution to the governments that have been suckered big time by these charlatans. Madoff was a petty theif compared to Algore and Suzuker.

Posted by: bartinsky at November 23, 2009 8:37 PM

as close as I can focus.

Posted by: cal2 at November 23, 2009 9:21 PM

and the resolution is worse on this one.

Posted by: cal2 at November 23, 2009 9:25 PM

google earth coordinates 50 06' 04"N
125 11' 26" W

Posted by: cal2 at November 23, 2009 9:42 PM

go to google earth , go to coordinates

49 degrees 16' 24.78 N
123 degrees 09' 41.30 " W

fly in to about 250 feet
there is a picture of 2478 point grey road. but across the street in a huge place on the beach with a big white RV in the front yard. if thats not it then the one beside it is even larger. looks like a protective wall around it .

wait, go in a little closer, it must have been a bright day cuz the little hairy guy in the yard is squinting.

Meanwhile Maurice Strong is still hiding out in China advocating doing away with democracy and having the UN levy fees and penalties all for the purpose of facing down the coming Armageddon.

"Our concepts of ballot-box democracy may need to be modified to produce strong governments capable of making difficult decisions."

If anyone knows exactly where S*z*ki's place on Quadra Island is, contact me by email. I'll take some aerial photos and share them. See my link.
