well at least some of the entertainment world realizes they have been had by Barry and are starting to see him for what he really is.

I heard they mocked Al Gore as well . . . a two-fer.

Y'see that Lefties? That's what a worm looks like when its turning.

Posted by: The Phantom at November 22, 2009 4:38 PM

LOL ... but gotta check CNN for a fact check.

Posted by: JDN at November 22, 2009 4:38 PM

"1 1/4 billion uninsured" and the U.S. needs to borrow 800 billion dollars from them. o.k.

then why are you trying to do sex to me!

Posted by: blanks at November 22, 2009 4:56 PM

Very little at SnL makes me laugh anymore, but dang that sketch had me howling. Perfect delivery by the gal doing the "translating."

Posted by: Colin from Mission B.C. at November 22, 2009 5:45 PM

That's not Tina Fey as the translator, is it? Just wondering.

Posted by: Lickmuffin at November 22, 2009 5:50 PM

The translatrix is played by current "featured player" (SNL code for "temp") Nasim Pedrad.

Posted by: Artie at November 22, 2009 6:05 PM

This is going to create a whole new crop of Tea Party signs.
Do I look like Mrs Obama? LOL

Posted by: ken in Calgary at November 22, 2009 6:43 PM

The "Do I look like Mrs. Obama?" quote is very Quentin Tarintinoesque isn't it?

I have not paid attention to SNL since they dissed Sarah, but this one may bring me back.

Posted by: Abe Froman at November 22, 2009 6:48 PM

Okay.....that squares the books on that Tina Fey "I can see Russia from my house!" thing.
Delivery is everything....I shall forward that one.
Realistically though......Art matches reality...
The rumble from China following OBOZOs visit...would indicate that this skit likely is a fairly accurate representation of China's position which OBOZO was told in very transparent terms.
The Chinese were openly critical in their press about Pelosi-care and Cap and Tax specifically.
Business is always business with the Chinese which is why KYOTO went no-where and now Copenhagen is a farce.

Posted by: sasquatch at November 22, 2009 7:37 PM

Funny thing is that the first time I ever heard that "kiss me" line was from George Bush as governor of Texas, in a negotiation with the Texas legislature.

Posted by: Man in the Yellow Hat at November 22, 2009 8:46 PM

Tina Fey is actually felatting Obama, so no, it's not her.

Posted by: Atlas is Shrugging at November 22, 2009 9:04 PM

Oh my that was funny. This means that finally the page has been turned, and now Obama truly owns these issues, and let's enjoy the ride!

Posted by: Erik Larsen at November 22, 2009 10:26 PM

Never did like Saturday Night Live; still don't. Bad taste is still bad taste, and is always uncalled for.

Posted by: larben at November 22, 2009 10:32 PM

I actually find it hard to believe that it's only 800 billion. I'll have to look that one up, although getting a real number is rather elusive...

Posted by: Brian M. at November 22, 2009 10:41 PM

If he's lost SNL, then he's lost... well, the honeymoon's over.

Posted by: Black Mamba at November 22, 2009 11:16 PM

Where was this skit back when it could have done some good? For months, big media have studiously ignored Obama's obvious defects. Now, after working to get him elected, they are having second thoughts? This is bizarre.

Whether the show's producers intend it or not, they are actually skewering all Americans who view government as a tool for getting someone else to pay for what they themselves cannot afford, all under the banner of "fairness". Obama simply reflects the wishful thinking of many, many Americans. When my countrymen finally turn on Obama, they will blame him for a disaster that they themselves have caused. It is a disaster that has been building for decades.

Posted by: RSP at November 23, 2009 12:35 AM

This would have been hilarious if the Chinese Pres was played by Bobby Lee of Mad TV.

If he's lost SNL, then he's lost... ~ Black Mamba

At least Lyndon Johnson had the presence of mind to realize he'd lost Walter Cronkite. Do you think Obama will actually get the point? Or care?

RSP: In a nutshell,a brilliant and succinct observation.
