The 79 Billion Dollar Climate Scam

From JoNova:

It’s unthinkable. Big Government has spent $79 billion on the climate industry, 3000 times more than Big Oil. Leading climate scientists won’t debate in public and won’t provide their data. What do they hide? When faced with freedom-of-information requests they say they’ve “lost” the original global temperature records. Thousands of scientists are rising in protest against the scare campaign. Meanwhile $126 billion turned over in carbon markets in 2008 and bankers get set to make billions.

And Tim Blair's MSM blog has alot of stuff about all of this and other Green crap (like a Greenie commercial that shows polar bears dropping dead from the sky) that's worth a look.
http://blogs.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/timblair/

But for highlights, there's this roundup from Jules Crittendon of worldwide reaction from the Left and the good guys.
http://www.julescrittenden.com/2009/11/20/warmal-gloating/

And via Andrew Bolt's MSM blog, there's a summation of damning quotes assembled here:

(It's supposed to be kept updated with new finds, so maybe bookmark it.)

Same glide path as gun control, just 10 years later.

I fearlessly predict OweBama will be the last US president to even mention global warming/climate change/carbon blah blah in an election year.

Now is the time to -flood- your MPs and MPPs with that beautiful gift we just got from the Hadley file dump. Fire as you bear.

Congrats Kate! Pajamas media has SDA in the comment section (around comment #90 give or take). HOPE it generates a bigger CHANGE in traffic. heh.

The Saturday edition of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune (or Hammer and Sickle) has the Hadley story (taken from the NY Times) buried near the end of the first section. They led with a story about Asian Carp.

Our Canadian Broadcorping Castration is giving Mo Stlong some free air time to get even richer . . .

"Big Government has spent $79 billion on the climate industry, 3000 times more than Big Oil."

...and to think that the goreites and the suzuki-ites have the temerity to suggest that climate change dissenting scientists' objectivity is clouded due to grants from energy companies!

79 billion? I suggest that is under by about 100%

A new 'major survey' out today about how embarrassed we are for not taking the lead on climate change. I for one deserve a light spanking!(I drive a 4-cylinder)

Posted by: Philanthropist at November 21, 2009 2:38 PM

Whenever I hear numbers like $79 billion I always wonder how many jobs that would have represented if the money had stayed in circulation.

Posted by: gord at November 21, 2009 2:41 PM

I drive a 6-cylinder Pilot and am not embarrassed. Viva le SUV!

Just saw part of a segment on FoxNews with host Stu Varney and a couple of Wall Street Journal guys and a third fellow whose credentials I did not get. The consensus was that Copenhagen was going to be a bust as there is increasing evidence that the earth is in a cooling trend and that governments could not see how they could convince their taxpayers to accept double energy costs.

I'm keeping my F150 and if I outlast it, I'll get a new one. It's a great truck especially for bear and deer hunting.

Maybe we need to take a leaf (just one - and only one - mind you) from the French farmers' book and create havoc for our government to show how displeased we are with this climate crap.

Just as the French farmers dump off animals and crops in the cities, we could have 10,000 SUVs blocking the streets all around Parliament Hill, idling and belching CO2, for a few hours every Monday morning and Friday afternoon. We could wave banners that stay "Stop the Green Grift".

What am I thinking? I must have forgotten that it's only the idiots that favour this climate nonesense that have the time to create havoc for the rest of us.

I love that the author specifically mentions those jackals at Desmogblog, the web site, run by Dr. Fruit Fly's PR agency, that specializes in smears of prominent individuals who question the holy writ of global warming.

There are going to be a lot of reputations in tatters when the dust settles on this issue and they won't be those of the people who have been targetted by the warmist fraudsters.

Posted by: JMD at November 21, 2009 3:45 PM

I have 3, yes 3 vehicles

and I love driving my red 4 ton 4X4, that sucks back gas like there's a hole in the tank, it's even better than my diesel farm tractor for pulling hay wagons:-))))

Posted by: GYM at November 21, 2009 3:50 PM

felis corpulentis I agree with that, but unless you are an approved minority, ie. first nations, jew baiter inc, defender of oppressed freedom fighters of the world (tamil tigers, hamas, hezbollah), such an action would only get you arrested.
Of course that might change if several thousand of the same protesters arrived at said protest with the will to resist and the means to back it up.

GYM

I dissed you in another thread.......when you said 'Faux' for FOX news.....but I see from your comments here, that you are not part of the Borg leftard complex.

My apologies.......

And yes, I've got three vehicles as well.

The wife drives a turbo Jetta, gets the worst mileage of all Jettas, but goes like a bat out of hell.

I drive my 99 Explorer year round, planning on doing a retro V8 swap in it......need more power to pull the speed boat around.....

And the other set of wheels? An 02 GT Stang Vert.

Damn I love V8's!

Big Bernie Madoff swindles to the tune of $65 billion and gets 150 years.

Big Government swindles to the tune of $79 billion and gets...

Oh, never mind.

You can always run out to the farm and burn an old tractor tire.
That's what I do when I feel the trees are starving for carbon.
Sometimes in the fall when they look so thin and spindly it's just too much for my old heart to bear...

Stock up on parts for your older trucks and v8's -GM has discontinued making parts for many of the older trucks and vehicles - part of their streamlining after acception the 30 billion bailout - once the supply of parts are gone they are gone - will not be manufacturing anymore. Do not know if Ford or Dodge are doing the same thing.

Despite the Canadian media's hiding him, the world is getting to know the most dangerous man in the world, from Oak Lake MB.

Duh. I just realized I missed the point of this video. I still don't like it but I had taken the wrong message.

Dang! And here I thought when Boob's Unca Mo was quiet for so long that he might have run into some Chinese health care, or eaten some Chinese pet food.

I wonder how his lovechild, the "University of Peace" is doing?

Yeah well I do my part.

1974---MUIRHILL tractor---use 1/2--3/4 of a fill a year blowing snow.
1978 Chev 1/2 ton full-time 4x4---350 with 4 bbl--stand on the long pedal and the speedo goes one-way and the gas guage the other---speedo wins every time....great for dealing with a blizzard.
1993 Plymouth Aclaim--me bad--it does have a real trunk. Mileage worse than my '87 firechicken with a V6.
1986 1100 Virago---for serious touring....and teasing the constabulary....
The dogs worship the truck, take the Aclaim for granted but pi$$ on the bike....they get off on going for a tour and smiling at the public.
You know dogs aren't really that dumb---
If ya can't chew it--or screw it---pi$$ on it.
