Allahu Akbar: It's The New "Cry For Help"

According to Kathy Shaidle, the quote has now passed from SDA's pages to Rush Limbaugh's 20 million ears.

If I can run across an audio clip, will post later.

Update: It's here, in typical Rush Public Service Announcement style. h/t EAK

Well done Kate! I'll be quoting you too. As for Islam, how do we get to Waslam?

Posted by: Thomas_L....... at November 10, 2009 2:34 PM

I already complimented you once, Kate, OT, on another thread after Steyn quoted you at The Corner.
This new thread headline is a masterpiece. And it has legs!

From my extensive web surfing, I'd have to say you're the best copywriter in the business.
Your headlines provide me random chuckles even when I'm nowhere near the computer.
As does sister-in-crime Kathy Shaidle, whose "Come and Get me Fairies" destroys me!

I have a feeling you'd make a very good pop lyricist: country?

Posted by: Me No Dhimmi at November 10, 2009 2:49 PM

Atta girl, Kate.

Posted by: nick at November 10, 2009 2:50 PM

Only morons and those so self deluded that they can no longer think for themselves would consider it an honor to even be assossiated with such egotistical, bombastic farce as Rush Limbaugh. It would be tantamount to even thinking that Sarah Palin could ever have what it takes to be a vice president. She would have been even more of an international laughing stock; as are those who voted for her. God help us all.

Posted by: T at November 10, 2009 3:00 PM

Ssshhh, T, grown-ups talking. Go rake some leaves or something.
Well done, Kate. Your fame is growing!

Posted by: Osumashi Kinyobe at November 10, 2009 3:02 PM

Osumashi Kinyobe, you just illustrated my point.

Posted by: T at November 10, 2009 3:05 PM

I was one of the 20 million listening to Rush this morning and noted your phrase being used. Well done, EH! You are a visionary. Cheers.

Posted by: fernstalbert at November 10, 2009 3:13 PM

T, you're talking again.
Ssshhh...
And raking leaves isn't hard. I think the fresh air would do you some good.

Posted by: Osumashi Kinyobe at November 10, 2009 3:17 PM

Gee Osumashi. Don't be so mean to T. He, like, knows his stuff. He knows who killed JFK. He watches Jon Jon Stewart and he's seen every Michael Moore movie a couple of times each!

Posted by: Thomas_L....... at November 10, 2009 3:22 PM

Keep trolling T.
Those lefty and commie cites are so boring and empty.

Posted by: Ghost of Ed at November 10, 2009 3:26 PM

Of course, Thomas! What was I thinking?!

Posted by: Osumashi Kinyobe at November 10, 2009 3:29 PM

There's more where that comes from, too - you could fill a book with your to-the-point, creative aphorisms. I can't count the number of times I simultaneously laughed out loud and winced - making an "ooo" face - while reading another one of your pithy and devastatingly apt bon mots.

Posted by: EBD at November 10, 2009 3:30 PM

The alleged victim, Hassan Whatzisname, apparently frequented a strip club in the Fort Hood area three times in the last month.

Sneak preview of the 72 virgins?

Posted by: set you free at November 10, 2009 3:36 PM

I agree with EBD; it's only a matter of time before you make Bartlett's.

Posted by: SDH at November 10, 2009 3:45 PM

set you free, the strip joint is down the road from Ft.Hood. If my own military days are any judge, I imagine it does a pretty good business.

I have to paraphrase the words of the stripper, as I don't remember them precisely. But she said somehing like,
"I just jumped right out of bed when I saw him on TV - I mean, I knew this guy - I'l always remember him, because he was the first customer I had ever given a lap dance for... "

My understanding is that she gave him 2 lap dances. This is of course the exact behavior of the 9/11 terrorists. They hit a bunch of strip joints before they took off on their mission.

Posted by: Greg in Dallas at November 10, 2009 3:57 PM

T:
If Rush Limbaugh was on the left you would call him edgy, provocative. You would say he spoke truth to power.

By dissing him you are acknowledging he is an important voice. 20 million.

Regarding Sarah Palin, surely she could do better than the buffoon Biden. Much of her problem was the intense media focus, magnifying any mistake she made.

Posted by: Norman at November 10, 2009 3:59 PM

Oh no, its like when David Bowie released Let's Dance....now everyone will know about her.

I will just have to be satisifed with, "I was commenting on SDA before it was this big....."

Posted by: Stephen at November 10, 2009 3:59 PM

Greg:

Yeah, that quote's in the story.

Hey, I've been to the ballet before myself and usually, so what?

Remember back to 9/11 when Atta and his cohorts were also frequent customers of the peelers?

Apparently, the imams of murder can recognize the sexually repressed and use them to create mayhem.

Posted by: set you free at November 10, 2009 4:00 PM

"Sneak preview of the 72 virgins?"

In a STRIP CLUB?!

Posted by: Fred2 at November 10, 2009 4:04 PM

T.. Think? What would that have to do with you?

Posted by: Speedy at November 10, 2009 4:06 PM

Fred:

Good for you for catching the irony.

Must have been watching too many episodes of Criminal Intent.

As the former Muslim who is going to be baptized in our church later this month pointed out, even his wife is less important than his shoe.

So, if a naked ballet dancer can create a promise of the future after a glorious death ... hey , who am I to figure it out?

Posted by: set you free at November 10, 2009 4:08 PM

Oops. That should be Criminal Minds. Love the show.

Posted by: set you free at November 10, 2009 4:10 PM

my question is: What did those VIRGINS do so wrong to have to share a slime ball murderer who has the tenacity to blow holes in his brothers and sisters?

Posted by: glacierman at November 10, 2009 4:12 PM

glacierman:

You'd have to ask your friendly neighbourhood imam.

Still looking for evidence any of the alleged virgins weight less than 300 pounds. Can't explain it.

But then, when a guy's not getting much (if any), he must be pretty easy to fool.

Posted by: set you free at November 10, 2009 4:16 PM

Guys like T have never listened to Rush Limbaugh before. Haven't a clue. They just take the left's talking points and run (limp) with them....

If he had listened to Rush, he would find that Rush speaks the language of common sense. Of course, most on the left don't have a clue what that's all about anyways....

Congrats, Kate!

Posted by: Soccermom at November 10, 2009 4:31 PM

It's not exactly a groundbreaking or original set of words, so other people were likely saying it. In other words, don't be so quick to take credit.

Thanks.

Posted by: sam at November 10, 2009 4:35 PM

This is a rather good one. No wonder people want to quote you.
Another recent good observation was from mark Steyn, when he used the phrase "pre post traumatic stress disorder." What's particularly sickening about it is that he nailed it... this is actually a plausible reason that is being advanced in the media.

Posted by: GreyOne40 at November 10, 2009 4:38 PM

So, sam, proof of your mean-spirited remark? What others, for instance, "were likely saying it"?

What a dumb-ass, stupid thing to say. Stick around, sam, you might learn something.

Who wouldn't be thrilled to be quoted with approval by a proven racist, obese oxycontin-addicted demagogue with an approval rating of 19% who like SDA is in heat to make political hay out of a tragic event before all the facts are in?

Posted by: bleet at November 10, 2009 4:56 PM

Not quite OT: 'Am reading Khaled Hosseini's second novel (his first is the acclaimed The Kite Runner) and am fascinated and sickened by the treatment of Muslim women, as he describes his protaginist's life in Afghanistan in the '70s.

There is something truly gruesome, perverse, and chilling -- might I also add evil? -- about the way in which many Muslim men regard women: as chattel, "as nothing but a house cat," as soothers of their egos, as ciphers for their own weaknesses.

It's pretty clear that Hasan, the "alleged" gunman at Fort Hood, had a militant political and religious Islamist agenda when he let loose with a spray of bullets on his army base. It's as clear as the noses on our faces -- but it seems that the American chattering classes are all wearing burqas with no peripheral vision.

Posted by: batb at November 10, 2009 5:00 PM

It's a very good line Kate. With a minor change you could say 'It's news, cry for help.' I know, pretty bad.

Posted by: Terry Anderson at November 10, 2009 5:14 PM

Hey guys ... I know it's great fun, but could you refrain from responding to the verbal diarrhea emitted by the usual trolls.

The upside to this, if there is one, is that PC may not take precedence over common sense. There are going to be some spankings given as to why this misfit was allowed to continue in the forces. It would be too easy for costly professionals to get out of service too easily but there has got to be some hardship posts to send them to or jail for their minimum service requirements. This is proof to the bury your head in the sand and get kicked in the arse school of thought.

O'garbage "healing process" for allahmO & "partners".
...-

"Mosque Leaders Part of Fort Hood 'Healing Process' at Memorial Service (FBI RAID MOSQUE)

"We are partners in the healing process," Maj. John Zavage, an Arabic-speaking specialist in Middle Eastern affairs who came to transport four members of the mosque of the Islamic Community of Greater Kileen onto the post, told ABC News' Bob Woodruff.

But as Zavage spoke, FBI agents arrived at the mosque, and some examined the contents of garbage cans."

Great post and the headline.

Now, MSM still does not now why its has been done, they even do not know who did it - as evidenced by the following sentence in today's CSMonitor.
"Investigators are still trying to determine why shooting suspect Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly pulled out two handguns last Thursday "
When I last checked my dictionary "alleged" means "supposed, not proven" and the "suspect" means "One who is suspected of having committed a crime."

Yeah, ella, go figure. Political correctness, multiculturalism gone berserk. They, as much as the guns, are killers.

The Washington Post has Hasan's powerpoint that recommends that Muslims in the US military be released from service.

Watching the spin of the MSM is almost too sickening to bear. John Roberts was 'very concerned', as one could tell by his facial expression, that the Major is being maligned.

The Americans should be very glad the Telegraph in England broke the news about his involvement with radical Muslim terrorists or they would never have heard of it!

Posted by: gellen at November 10, 2009 9:04 PM

The worst thing possible for Obama & MSM was that the Major committed Jihad and is still alive..

This story, & the delusional response, has legs all the way into 2012..Every stupid word will resonate with real Americans

Good on ya Kate. Not bad for a girl from Saskatchewan. So besides the good Major, there was of course the case of the paratrooper tossing in a hand grendade inot a tent right before the invasion of Iraq. But does anybody remember a pair of muslims being charged with mutiny for trying to kidnap their captain (of an aircraft carrier) no less right before the first Persian Gulf war??? Or did I just dream that up?

I hope this isn't too OT, but the misunderstood victim Army Major is probably going to require blood transfusions after being shot by that infidel woman police officer. Who is standing on guard for the unfortunate fellow,to see he gets only Islamic blood?

I mean, think of the consequences in Heaven if he were to receive blood donated by some Texas redneck infidel hog eating farmer!

I hope his taxpayer-funded lawyers are all over this.

Posted by: dmorris at November 11, 2009 2:28 PM

Hmmm... At times like this I think of Tom Clancy. I think that he should be given a football. Keep it in bed with him, just in case he passes on. Maybe cut it in half so he can wear it like a hat? Maybe other would-be terrorists who knew that they'd be forced to wear a pigskin hat as they pass on would think twice.

It's called psychological warfare warfare. It might reach nut-bars where rational thought won't.

Another 15 army deaths were still under investigation when the figures were released in February.
The confirmed rate of army suicides was 20.2 per 100,000 last year. In 2002, the army suicide rate was just 9.8 per 100,000. The last time it exceeded the civilian rate was at the height of the Vietnam war.

Official figures show that out of 1.4million service men and women, 3,572 are Muslims, under one per cent.

US Department of Defence numbers also show that out of that number, 1,164 are in the Army, which has more than half a million soldiers.
It is not clear exactly how many Muslims serve in the 1.4 million-strong US armed forces, as recruits are not required to state their religion According to the Pentagon, there are 3,572 Muslims in active service. However, some Muslims in the military say the real number is as high as 20,000.
