"Allahu Akbar!"

It's the new "cry for help".

According to the suspect's cousin, Hasan was also harassed after 9/11 because of his ethnicity, and was called a "camel jockey."

Well said: Horrific Outbreak of Stupidity

Update: Not all are equally reluctant - "So we give congratulations to the Ummah for their jihadist operation executed by the brother Nidal Malik Hasan on the American base where he was working as a psychiatrist and recently (received orders to go Iraq), and he seemed upset and did not want to participate in this war, and he did not want to be among the ranks of infidels against his Muslim brothers"

The Red Star did the same thing, oddly enough. The main story mentions his religion three-quarters of the way through the report, heavily mentioning the racism he, and his bank executive sister, had faced post 9/11. I couldn't bring myself to read it, but there's a feature "anti-Muslim backlash" article too. Oh, and Obama is going to fix it all.

Interesting and sad that I have posted 2 comments on the Communist Broadcasting Corporation news blog and neither of them were posted. Might have had something to do with the fact that I mentioned that old Nadir was a Muslim and the juxtaposition of his faith and job were beyond his grasp and defaulted to his core value system (faith). It (Islam) calls for the destruction of the infidel, which is everyone who not a practicing Muslim.
The default always wins in pressure situations.

Kim Munley: a true heroine.

...-

Fort Hood Shooting: Woman Police Officer Who Brought Down Muslim Major Nidal Malik Hasan After He Shot Dead 13 At Texas Army Base

DAVID GARDNER and LIZ HAZELTON 06th November 2009

[Pic in URL] Heroine: Kim Munley, a civilian police officer, is the woman who brought Hasan down by shooting him four times before he could slaughter more people

The heroic policewoman who shot an army psychiatrist during a murderous gun rampage at an army base was today named as Sergeant Kimberly Munley.

She had been on routine traffic patrol when Major Nidal Malik Hasan entered a medical centre at Ford Hood, Texas, shouted 'Allahu Akbar' (God is greatest) and opened fire.

It took just three minutes for the slightly built mother-of-one to get to the scene, engaging the killer in a ferocious gun battle. Witnesses said a bullet from Hasan's gun passed through both Sgt Munley's legs. But despite her injuries, she continued firing at the soldier, hitting him four times before he was disabled."

Say my name, say my name? Sounds like Jihad to me.

Cause, if you took me into a building blindfolded and I heard grunts, thuds, the crack of the puck and chants of "Go Leafs Go", I'd put money on being at a Leafs game.

So..., if you take me in another building and I hear the crack of gunfire, people screaming in pain and fear and chants of "Allah Akbar", my money is on it being a terrorist attack (the location really does not matter).

The folks in uniform understand that, to bad a lot of those in positions of power and influence have forgotten.

I'm starting to get that strange feeling that the MSM is steering in the "poor misunderstood killer" direction. Commentators are asking why was he still in the Army if he didn't want to get deployed. It is clear as day to me that, having invested $$$ to educate this p.o.s. they are not going to discharge him because he didn't want to go where he was ordered to. You sign on the dotted line (and take the money), you do the time. Besides, the Army does what the Army wants, not what the soldier wants.

Exit question: Does the Army still use a firing squad?

Remember, Hasan's rank was that of a major. He didn't earn this by combat duty, for he was never in combat, but by the almost automatic promotions in the service. And he wasn't a combat man but, right away, an officer because of his choice of a medical profession...paid for, in total, by the army.

As an officer, who would harass him? Certainly no non-officer1 And no-one of lower rank. So, who?

Or, was it the case that he himself was constantly talking against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and so irritating his fellow workers that they told him to 'shut up'? Did he consider their rejection of his talk...an action of harassment?

Posted by: ET at November 6, 2009 3:27 PM

Hopefully his defense raises the issue of post traumatic stress disorder. Being a psychiatrist he was undoubtedly treating many with PTSD, and front line health care professionals often are overwhelmed and suffer from PTSD with no support. However, on this "enlightened" site I am sure no one would even consider such a possibility.

Posted by: T at November 6, 2009 3:34 PM

Actually, T, I did, and I'm sure others did also.
You're one dimensional.

He got a bad report and was transferred from Walter Reed hospital. Don't you think if he was troubled by his duties they would have picked up on that?

What is known from an interview with a retired Col. (or some such), the Major had the irritating habit of bringing up very sensitive topics. That's not PTSD. That's stupid.

Posted by: gellen at November 6, 2009 3:44 PM

The anti-Muslim discrimination Hasan was subjected to in the US seems to have been so all-pervasive that he was barely able to:

1. obtain a university education;

2. attend medical school;

3. become a psychiatrist; and

4. achieve the rank of major in the US Army.

Er, wait a minute. Am I missing something here?

I'm thinking that when he woke up in the hospital and realized he wasn't dead he got a first hand experience of stress. Probably a panic attack.

He's not going to like court either. He'll have to face everyone that survived the ordeal and it will go on for months. Then he can become an expert on depression.

Posted by: gord at November 6, 2009 5:31 PM

Others have already mentioned the calls by the authorities to remain calm and not beat up muslims or call them names just because one of them has perpetrated the latest massacre of kuffars.

The calls for calm are correct, of course, the guy working next to you or living on the next block has done nothing.

However, this has to be turned back onto the muslim community. If we are expected to remain calm and understanding in the face of these atrocities, our political and social leadership must begin telling the muslim leadership that they have to get regularly and actively involved in ferreting out the potential killers in their midst. It must be made clear to the muslim leadership that preaching violent jihad in mosques and schools or the public street will no longer be tolerated.

Now I realize that I've just described my latest technicolor dream, but, when my "betters" stop laughing I'd like them to ponder a question --
how many people do you think will be killed by the teenie tiny minority of violent muslims before someone, somewhere decides that it's time they get some of it back?

Don't worry, Mr. or Ms. RCMP corporal monitoring this post, it won't be me. I'm just slightly less brave than your colleagues in Vancouver were a while back and I'm not nearly as big.

The Jihadi shooter at Ft. Hood faced minimal threat as the soldiers were not armed. The soldiers are not permitted to carry weapons on the base. No armed security. If not for the quick reaction of the Police officer that happened to be close enough to hear the gunfire ...

The political correct behavior of those running the military have caused these deaths.

The Islamists are winning in the media has the killer is now the victim and the army is at fault.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet in the Philipines, two people were also killed by Islamists. How many do you need T? I'd rather be accused of raaaaaacism than moonbatism. That's your specialty.

Oos. Sorry, set you free, I hadn't read your reply to Wally yet.

IMHO it's time to shut down the mosques where these hateful ideologies are being spread and boot the bastards who preach therein out of our countries. Or make treason a criminal offense again and line them up and shoot them.

Spike 1 @ 7:12, I've been thinking a lot in recent weeks of the internment of peaceful Japanese Canadian and American and Canadian citizens during WWII. I guess this is supposed to be "progress" that we aren't taking any sort of measures remotely similar today.

What gets me most about this incident at Ft. Hood is so many people knew about his predilictions and did nothing.

Louise:

As I replied to T, what race is Muslim?

No one wants to get accused of profiling - it's not PC. Much better to let people die.

When I heard that this guy was shot and lived, I (stupidly) assumed some super duper team of steely eyed soldiers responded to the scene and kept him alive deliberately.

Now I find out that on a military base full of nothing but soldiers, a lone civilian woman traffic cop showed up and got the job done, despite him tagging her in the legs too. Him still being alive is dumb luck.

Kim Munley is the bomb. I wonder if Barry will pin her medal on himself? If he does, I wonder if she'll kick him in the bag while he's distracted for that shout-out crap he pulled?

I also wonder if the US military will finally, FINALLY realize they are in a real, no-sh1t live ammo shootin' war. The only person on base with a gun is the traffic control cop? WTF is that?

Nobody ever heard of Spetznaz?

Hey, you know what? Nidal Malik Hasan got beat by a GIRL!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!

Posted by: The Phantom at November 6, 2009 10:27 PM

Jeez, Phantom, try to contain your glee!

I agree though, how apropos was that?

I'd suggest a Kim Munley vs. Nidal Malik Hasan Googlefight, but I think that just counts popularity of searches/mentions. To be honest, I did look her name up today. Hero, indeed (not giving up even after being shot and in an extremely stressful situation). Well done, amazing.

And a psychologist committing mass-murder, that must be a first.

And in certain parts of the world cops are referred to as pigs, sooooo he was taken down by a female pig, how fitting.

Hee hee!

I bet he has a really small johnson too. Like Osama's, but even smaller.

Bwaha!

All day in the US people have been saying that this tango popped his cork because he was suffering some harrassment.

This doesn't exactly wash.

Down here, in the Army, when a guy becomes a doctor, he automatically achieves the rank of captain. If he acquires a specialty (like psychiatry), he automatically receives the rank of major.

So this tango was a fairly high-ranking officer coming out of the chute. He had a lot of authority.

And he was also a doctor, which gives him even more authority.

So it is possible he received a little harrassment, but his rank would have protected him from very much of it.

He fired a hundred shots. Do you realize how many times he had to change clips to fire a hundred shots?

Posted by: Greg in Dallas at November 7, 2009 12:23 AM

Where'd you hear that, Greg? I have seen nothing regarding the pistol, shots fired, anything. Just more "mystified regarding motive" hamina hamina from MSM web sites. Retards.

He had to change mags at least five times, even if he had a Glock with 20 round mags. The usual is 10 to 15 rounds, so that's a lot of mag changes. Buddy been practicing, eh?

And he -still- got beat by a girl. HA!

Posted by: The Phantom at November 7, 2009 12:36 AM

Phantom said: "He had to change mags at least five times"

This must have been close-in violence with his victims scrambling to find cover and him doing execution-style shooting.

"Lepine" had a high-powered rifle, so it's theoretically possible that he saw his chosen victims as "targets", not victims. Unfortunately, "Lepine" offed himself, so we'll never know.

This latest nut had to reload. He'd already determined that he wanted to kill random people. I hope he survives.

This interests me a lot because I was driving home through Montreal when "Lepine" decided to do what he did. It was only after getting home after a huge traffic jam that I discovered the full horror of what happened.

If anyone listens to GW's speech right after 9-11, he referenced early on the idea of doing to the muslims what the US did to Japanese Americans. Internment. I caught it, the media didn't and if the rest of the doofus' attending that speech ever did, they SFU about it pretty quick. Not a single PC peep.

I hope the survivors of these soldiers sue the US government for their inaction on this file, while in a wartime situation. It's dereliction of duty. A chargeable offence. And rank doesn't matter. Expect a lot of finger pointing, post op and yeah, the buck stops at O's desk on this. He's CIC.

Phantom @10:18 - very good point. One might assume that a Military Post (thanks Kathy Shaidle) would be the last place on earth where a psycho would be able to gun down over a dozen people. One would apparently be wrong.

It reminds me of that Monty Python sketch where London gangsters try to shake down the Army. From memory: "That's a very nice armoured tank division you 'ave 'ere, generaw. Very nice. Be a terrible shame if anyfink were to 'appen to it."

Surrealist comedy becomes the news.

This site is anti-Muslim...

Muslim = one who surrenders Allah. -an agent form of the verb of which Islam is a verbal noun, one who has embraced Islam, a follower of Muhammad.

Since Islam means submission to Allah and Muslim means one who submits, bacically anyone who refuses to submit to Allah and be a follower of Muhammad is anti-Muslim.

Count me as anti-Muslim and proud of it.

That said, our government letting this type of people live among us while our soldiers are over in Afghanistan "fighting to protect us" really isn't making us any safer.

Here's a juxtapose for ya:

Last night the CBC ran its documentary on Vincent Chow, the schizophrenic who beheaded and cannibalized that young fellow on a greyhound bus last year.

Not much new in the documentary that we didn't already know, except the CBC was careful to point out that Chow HAD JUST CONVERTED TO CHRISTIANITY AND HENCE STARTED HEARING GOD TELLING HIM TO COMMIT THESE BARBARITIES.

Of course the implication is that Chow was just your happy everyday harmless schizo before that, but then he started attending church and reading the Bible and hearing God's voice guiding him to murder and cannibalism. That's about the only thing the CBC mentions about Chow's personal history -- the Christian connection.

But fair is fair -- we all know that the majority of converts to Christianity generally end up axe murderers, and their actions in such cases would be unrelated to any pre-existing mental illness. And we also know that most Muslims who commit barbarities are never incited to do so by their religious beliefs, it is the effect of non-pre-existing mental illnesses that even psychiatrists such as Hasan can get.

Just musing: what would have occured if Hasan was Chow's psychiatrist? Would Chow have had Hasan for "supper" first, or would Hasan have guided the Christian Chow to a more refined religious method of beheading people: with a jihadi sword?

The adherents of the Religion of Peace are fighting, blowing up and bombing Christians, atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, Jews, Hindus all over the world (USA / UK / Spain / India / China / Thailand). Whose fault is it?
Of course, the fault of these Christians, atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, Jews and Hindus for not understanding them!

Were the other two shot dead with him Muslim?
