In related news, Hedy Fry spent the evening alone with her computer.

I hope every blog, newspaper, TV and radio outlet runs this as THE lead story tomorrow.
There are no words....

Posted by: Rick S at October 29, 2009 9:33 PM

I am stunned that this no-mind was ever elected to anything let alone parliament. Just how stupid are the people in her riding?? Amazing.

Posted by: johnboy at October 29, 2009 9:36 PM

Hedy Fry, reaching entirely new levels of HUH??? with every new statement.

Posted by: AtlanticJim at October 29, 2009 9:39 PM

For some strange reason I doubt that Liberal MPs shake hands with people all the time. Seriously would you shake a Liberal's hand not knowing where it has been?

Posted by: Joe at October 29, 2009 9:44 PM

I saw the clip of this stupidity (on ctv)..and the woman was dead serious!Flapping about in an outrage only a lib would be capable of.Do they teach this faux outrage in Lib.school?

Posted by: Sammy at October 29, 2009 9:46 PM

Exactly what sort of drugs are the good citizens of Vancouver Centre on to keep voting in this demented harridan?

Posted by: Waterhouse at October 29, 2009 9:49 PM

You know who will be stupid? The conservative opponent in her riding who doesn't run that clip every 15 minutes during the next campaign, that's who.

Because they won't.

Posted by: Kate at October 29, 2009 9:52 PM

"I am stunned that this no-mind was ever elected to anything let alone parliament. Just how stupid are the people in her riding?? Amazing."

Well for starters, her riding consists of Vancouver's West End...

...and a portion of the infamous Downtown Eastside.

Posted by: Edward Teach at October 29, 2009 9:52 PM

Edward Teach - I think I have the answer - in Vancouver's West End they see "Hedy" and vote for her. In the eastside they see "Fry" and vote for her. There now, that was easy.

Posted by: anne (not from Cornwall) at October 29, 2009 9:56 PM

I actually believe she should be first in line for a flu shot, except I want her to get the shot in her ASS,not in her arm!

Posted by: Mr.g at October 29, 2009 10:03 PM

It would then appear that the conservatives should run a candidate named "Gaye Neddle" next election.

Posted by: anne (not from Cornwall) at October 29, 2009 10:09 PM

Ah yes, Hedy Fry, the brain-trust of the Liberal Party of Canada. I didn't think she could top her "burning crosses" meltdown from a while back, but what do I know about the twisted psyche of left-wing politicos. They don't inhabit the real world. By all means give her the H1N1 shot ahead of kids and pregnant women, and make sure it gets run on Conservative election ads every fifteen minutes. Not that it will change the minds of the people who voted for her - they have no minds science could plausibly identify. Yes, voters in Vancouver Centre who cast your ballot for her - I consider you idiots. And so do most intelligent humanoids in this diverse country of ours. Now back to your regularly scheduled legal injection site.

Was that a Donolo approved message Hedy?

Posted by: wilson at October 29, 2009 10:11 PM

While she's waiting like the rest of us, Hedy can just carry around a bottle of hand sanitizer. Not on my dime of course.

Posted by: anne (not from Cornwall) at October 29, 2009 10:12 PM

I think she is a Jamaican doctor by original trade.
they must get their certs on the back of cornflakes boxes.

hot cross Hedy strikes again.

Posted by: cal2 at October 29, 2009 10:18 PM

Iguess this is Head Fried's idea of "leadership". "here - I'll go first and the rest of you can be followers".

What a vacuous bag.

Oh c,mon all you haters!

She's entitled to her entitlements!

Posted by: DanBC at October 29, 2009 10:28 PM

The banging sound you hear comes from Donolo.

Posted by: Rich at October 29, 2009 10:35 PM

I'm quite happy to let good ol' Heddy be the guinea pig for this thing.

If she gets something horrible from it, it'll be no great loss.

And yes, that clip needs to be on TV every 15 minutes.

Posted by: The Phantom at October 29, 2009 10:36 PM

In a socialist's world, some are more equal than others.

Posted by: Ken (Kulak) at October 29, 2009 10:39 PM

All of these Liberal MPs seem to be "going rogue" lately.

An embarrassment a day. Love it.

Posted by: Soccermom at October 29, 2009 10:50 PM

Hedy Fry is the LAST person in Canada who should get the vaccination.

Posted by: John Luft at October 29, 2009 10:55 PM

Not on CBC's news page yet. Funny that.

Posted by: Norman at October 29, 2009 11:01 PM

Sooo...do you think they would notice if we changed the signs in her riding from "legal injectione sites" to "lethal injection sites".

Just wondering is all.

And Hedy Fry definitely does deserve a trip to a special clinic.

Posted by: johnboy at October 29, 2009 11:08 PM

The voters in Vancouver centre elect Hedy Fry because Conservatives are too scary, think about that?

Thank you lieberal wimmins caucus. The gift that keeps on giving.

Posted by: Cascadian at October 29, 2009 11:14 PM

Is it just me or does Hedy Fry look like Barney Frank in drag?

Posted by: ward at October 30, 2009 12:10 AM

tqvm british columbia for putting hedy in office time and again to remind TROC what twits politishuns are.

they ALL do it. some more than others.

I hope hedy is in that tiny minority that gets really really sick because of the vaccination. I really mean that too.

Posted by: curious_george at October 30, 2009 12:49 AM

Ward, I was wondering where I had seen her before.

Posted by: Ken (Kulak) at October 30, 2009 1:21 AM

H1N1, Otherwise known as the "Hedy flu".

Posted by: absinthe enhanced at October 30, 2009 3:13 AM

Hedy Fry has got to be one of the most pathetic embarrassing MPs in our countries history.

Posted by: Gordon MacDonald at October 30, 2009 3:16 AM

'What a vacuous bag'. What an apt description, a different bob. I saw this frump as she was speaking and wondered if she was seeing crosses burning in N. B.C. in her demented imagination, as she spoke.

Posted by: Jema54 at October 30, 2009 3:19 AM

Light a cross on your lawn, that will keep the flu away (and Hedy too).

Posted by: Peter O'Donnell at October 30, 2009 3:54 AM

Ms. Fry is right, sort of.

There should be a priority list of people that should be given access to the shot ahead of everyone else: doctors, nurses and other frontline healthcare professionals, funeral directors, ambulance drivers police firemen etc and yes further down the list politicians who, if it truly turned into a big killer would be needed to enact emergency legislation including the riot act and curfews.

Fry, in her typical ham-handed way made and ass of herslef and thus clouded what is a very important issue. For example my GP had to take four hours out of his day to wait inmline like every one else to get the shot - booking down his office to do so. Ridiculous and scandalous that a priorityist had not been drawn up beforehand and the first dose given to those on that list.

Posted by: Gord Tulk at October 30, 2009 4:31 AM

"shaking hands"?

More like

"exchanging brown paper bags of cash."

Posted by: Doug at October 30, 2009 6:10 AM

Did you see the look of panic in her eyes?

Thank goodness she has no say in how this country is run.

Beyond hilarious!

They should be issuing sedatives, for crap's sake! The panic buttons have taken the "sky is falling" schtick to a whole new level.

Posted by: kingstonlad at October 30, 2009 7:19 AM

Isn't Hedy suggesting a form of "two tier" health care?

Notwithstanding death of course, what's the worst that befall someone with H1N1? 3-6 days of terrible symptoms. Whoop-de-doo. HTFU.

How a Liberal MP could suggest that their funtion is somehow more 'important' that the public writ large is simply beyond belief.

The Plague*?
Send Boob (Hi. I'm Mao Stl's ... sick nephew.) Lae and Floozy Hedy to the Ukraine to assist with the Mercery and Compassion.
...-

"SHOCK!(sic) Epidemic of pneumonic plague in Ukraine?

Ministry of Health has not established the exact diagnosis of the epidemic disease in the western regions of Ukraine. Health Minister Vasyl Knyazevich has given information about spread of diseases in the Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv Regions today at the meeting of Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the Minister, the World Health Organization is ready to render assistance to Ukrainian experts and the Ministry of Health in order to establish the cause of death and development of disease flu in the Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv Regions.

"We are working at receiving the vaccine against influenza A (H1N1) also", - said Vasily Knyazevich and asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to render assistance.

Answering question of Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko about the definition of the specific nature of the disease, the head of the Ministry of Health said: "The nature of infections is viral one. But at the moment it is not defined, is it the Californian influenza H1N1, or it is our seasonal influenza. To date, there is no precise diagnosis.""

My God, that woman is just not that bright.

Hedy Fry is a reminder to us all that there is really only one qualification for public office and it's not experience, education, wealth nor even political idealism.

You just have to win an election.

Posted by: JJM at October 30, 2009 8:45 AM

Remember, she runs in a perennial NDP provincial riding, that has a lot of 'alternative lifestyle' types, as well as the socialist hordes, and low income, as well as retirees in apartments. She's just moonbatty enough to attract their vote away from the typical NDP candidate.

So please, don't tar the rest of us in BC because of her. Her ongoing stint in Ottawa is as mysterious to us as well.

Posted by: DanBC at October 30, 2009 9:44 AM

Another Doorknob Moment brought to you at taxpayer expense.

Posted by: Speedy at October 30, 2009 9:45 AM

I'd like to give Heddy a shot. It wouldn't do anything to prevent the Flu but it would certainly make me feel better (once the swelling went down in my nuckles).

Hedy Fry appears to be on the verge of going ballistic, because there is no special H1N1 flu clinic available for her and the MP's on the hill and that they are not first in line. Somebody should inform her, that the organization and delivery of the H1N1 vaccine, is the responsibility, and under the control and guidance, of the provincial government of Ontario, as in all other provinces. She should look no further, than a few seats over in the House of Commons, to another fellow Liberal MP, who thinks he has the answers for all problems, David McGuinty, who has close connections with another Liberal, who happens to be the Premier of Ontario. David could inform his brother, to accommodate Hedy with a clinic on the Hill, or face burning crosses on his lawn, or worse. This appears to be a Liberal problem, within Liberal circles, with the solution in Liberal hands.

Remember this twit when you rail on about central canada and start carping about separation over what the leftards are doing.

Fry is from the left coast. You'd have to keep her.

Posted by: Jason at October 30, 2009 10:10 AM

Fry is from the left coast. You'd have to keep her.

She probably wouldn't want to live in the new republic.

Posted by: Oz at October 30, 2009 10:33 AM

I've had the displeasure of having to flex my PR muscles with Hedy on more than one painful occasion. She is a real nasty piece of work just looking to dress down anyone she deems beneath her.She has the typical Liberal entitlement attitude that seems to be a prerequisite to be a card holder of her party. The only saving grace is that she's so offensive that us peasants laughed our asses off at her whenever she was out of earshot.I would inspect carefully what I consume if I were you Hedy, belittling the very same people who prepare your meals is not the brightest approach.

Posted by: h.ryan at October 30, 2009 1:20 PM

Actually, I do think that our Prime Minister and his Cabinet ministers should be among the people who get the flu shot on a priority basis. But not their staffers, and certainly not a backbencher like Hedy Fry.

Posted by: Barbara at October 30, 2009 5:32 PM

Adler was calling her Airhedy Fry today. Priceless.

Posted by: Kathryn at October 30, 2009 6:37 PM

What is offensive is this claim for a priority....
I have no objection to an on site clinic---there is sufficient volume to justify it....if it is open to all comers......
What is usually the case is that many, many neglect the flu shots for various reasons---valid and invalid...anything to increase the pool of immunity is a bonus.
I recall a few years back taking a load of scrap into the city for an associate. After unloading, I went to the office to settle up and was firmly directed to their on site clinic.
Apparently that company had a payroll of 80 which justified the on-site clinic...as well as the traffic which went through during the day. The Middlesex County Health people said that this was one of the larger clinics volume wise.
I found the 2 minute wait convenient compared to the 2-3 hour lineup in my county (Oxford). Middlesex is apathetic?
