When you pin down AI or similiar do gooders they fall apart.

A couple of pretty young ladies (they never send ugly ones) from AI tried to get me to sign an anti death penalty petition, I pinned them down with Paul Bernardo, the entire Nazi high command and other villians. They reposnded with some poor woman in some 3rd world Islam backwater who was to be stoned to death for adultry because she was raped. I asked the petitioners if they would be OK if this poor woman gets hard labour for life instead. After much humming and hawwing they finally agreed it wasn't the punishment so much as the fact she was charged with anything.

Another group, I think it was Save the Children, was on about child labour and child soldiers. I asked them to define "child". "under 18" was their immediate response. I told them I was a child soldier (I joined Her Majesty's Canadian Forces at age 17). They then began revising down the age for a "CHILD". I told them of the Soldier Apprentice program in the Canadian Army (in at age 13) back in the 1950's and 1960's. I teld them of my grandmother who, as a subject in the home country of the richest, most powerful Empire in the world at the time, went to work full time at age 12 as a maid in a middle class household.

They don't understand. Child labour and similar "ills" are required in poor countries. As those places become weathly, kids can stay in school because their parents can afford it, less crimes get death sentances because the collective wealth of the nation can afford to keep people in prisons, and life becomes better for everyone.

Open challenge(ok...Kathy not allowed...heh). Could ONE person please point out to me ONE single policy of the leftards that has NOT failed??? And I mean that has helped other people besides themselves?
