Posted by Kate at October 16, 2009 4:09 PMTHE Rudd government's $480 million "national solar schools" program was quietly suspended yesterday afternoon via a notice posted on the popular scheme's website.
Get them indoctrinated while they're young.
Like the sickening "ode to Obama" song or the latest from the BC Teacher's Fed to indoctrinate children against the nasty Olympics in Vancouver schools
David Suzuki says he's ashamed to be Canadian referring to Canada's lagging effort in reducing emissions.A message for you David,us Canadians aren't doing a lot of bragging either.
Posted by: h.ryan at October 16, 2009 4:29 PMAnd, as a Canadian, I am ashamed of David Suzuki and how he terrifies children with his prognostications of disaster.

That's what I meant,we aren't doing a lot of bragging that Suzuki is Canadian either.
If the Aussi's cant make solar viable, with all the solar radiation they receive then know one can.

One would think solar panels would work in Australia. Hhhmmm.... too many concepts, not enough details or screwed from the word go?
What surprised me was the simplest, most effective way of using solar (to replace conventional water heaters) wasn't mentioned as one of the possible investments. Awnings, rain barrels, OK, but why not water heaters?
Posted by: KevinB at October 16, 2009 6:20 PMWestern Australia, Perth, has many homes with solar water heating,as many as half. I don't see schools needing that. Washrooms only need cold water there.

Man, you're cruel. What about showers after a two hour football practice?
