Speaking truthiness on behalf of Power: CNN 'Fact Checks' SNL Obama Skit
Posted by Kate at October 10, 2009 1:37 PMAnd this just out - Phillies - Rockies playoff game postponed due to cold.
Posted by: Greg at October 10, 2009 1:55 PMI wonder how many "Fact Checks" CNN did on SNL's George W. Bush skits?
Posted by: Gus at October 10, 2009 1:59 PMGus- One SNL skit had Bush senior sending Bush junior to fetch ducks, supposedly so he could shoot him. It was a funny skit, but probably not accurate.

That made my day. RIP Chris Farley.
Posted by: Christian at October 10, 2009 4:00 PMCNN should maybe "fact check" how their founders wifeypoo supported the commies during Vietnam.
Oh well, they don't fact check any of their lefturd screeds,so maybe doing comedy is more representative of what they have become as a "news" outlet.
I watched the SNL "Obama done nothing" sketch and couldn't believe they were doing it.
I also saw the CNN 'fact checking' segment on the SNL skit; I thought it was some sort of a spoof, that it had to be some sort of a parody. But no, they were seriously debating a comedy skit because it showed Dear Leader in a poor light.
Worst.
Media.
Ever.
If the Media biosphere is Jurassic Park, does that make Keith Olbermann a velociraptor?
Posted by: Black Mamba at October 10, 2009 5:03 PMI have read where comics are most often people who are very bright and quick witted. Not necessarily A students in school because they are bored by the slow pace of public school so they become class clowns and drop out early.
My guess is that like Dennis Miller, many of these bright folks are more likely to see the sense in right wing thinking than the lunacy on the left. Lunacy is their business, who needs to keep working when they go home. Many of the brightest kids started at SNL.
Obama isn't fooling them. Their skit proved that.
Posted by: Momar at October 10, 2009 6:13 PMCNN needs to keep their people working, so as there is nothing going on anywere they fact check the comics
see easy peasy to figure out
now my brain hurts from emulating a lefty
I watched this on CNN. Pitiful. It was embarrassing to watch these raggedy men play journalist over a TV sketch.
Wolf Blitzer has to be desperate to take this seriously.
JMO
Seems they (cnn) were none too anxious to check the accuracy of the Sarah Palin skits. Nice double standard.
Posted by: Olde Spice at October 10, 2009 10:29 PMLode Spice....how can they have a double standard when they have no standards to begin with??
Posted by: Justthinkin at October 10, 2009 10:37 PMCNN doesn t deal in facts they deal in Obamanations.Does anyone remember how they were practically unable to grasp the fact that "the exalted one" had failed to deliver the Olympics? The look of disbelief on the faces of the talking heads was the funniest thing I ve seen in a long time.CNN has evolved into little more than the Ministry of Propaganda for the Democratic Party.

Black Mamba
No, I would compare Olbermann to the little creatures that sneak behind you and spit venom in your face to blind you. The ones that got fat boy "Newman" in the first film.
The fact that these things are "little" and "spit venom to blind" along with the fact they get a smaller role in the film fit's Dobermann's and his barely watched MSNBC to a tee.
