On CTV’s Power Play Yesterday, a theme of Tom Clark’s line of questioning for his Tory guest (name escapes me) was to ask why, if Ignatieff says there will be no coalition, the Tories continue to assert there will be one. It’s as if for Tom that because it comes from Iggy‘s mouth it must be truth and gospel and the end of the matter. Compare that to accusations of Harper having a “hidden agenda”, to which Harper has denied yet is continually questioned on by MSM even all these years later. As for the CBC, I love how Milewski fills his reports with Liberal talking points -- calling the video “The Harper Tape” -- but the recording Kenney produced of the real Ignatieff is generically described by CBC as a tape with Ignatieff’s voice on it. Liberals will have to explain to Canadians if what Iggy said yesterday, or last week, or last month or last year is no longer the party line or position. A little bit of a minor storm in a tea cup lately. It seems that when Prime Minister Stephen Harper visited Sault Ste Marie, he addressed a closed meeting. He, of course, did not make any mistakes in his address, but spoke a little more tersely than he would have publically.

I am a little worried at the full quotes from the Sault Daily Star being given by me and an irate Liberal charging up to me, when at Hortons. ("I've been hearing some nasty things about you"). What I will do is to attibute my information to that worthy journal and "no names, no pack drill" (old British Army saying).

Seems that an astute young Liberal got an invite to the meeting. He then used a video phone to record the Prime Minister. We are told that his old college friend had given him a ticket. A Conservative friend. Now it went full public on television. A bit of a phoney outrage and "consternation".

Personally, I don’t see it happening; the Liberals reflect the views of the people that vote for them, there is no disconnect. The whole Canadian federal political landscape is defined by Ontarian’s and their entitlement to dictate and rule Canada!

Well obviously that's identical to signing a coalition (more than minority government, with two or more parties governing, with cabinet representation), weeks after an election which left the government 12 seats short of a majority, with 29 more seats than the combined (minority) coalition.

Happens every day (actually zero precedent) and perfectly legal. Great, then run on it, instead of lying about it.

Only 5 seats needed in that province of the total 75 available makes that probable. And if that’s the case, that’s even more criminal than the theft of the money that was never recovered. We could have dozens of pieces of bogus Liberal legislation enacted into law between ‘97 and 2000 -- any that passed only as a result of every single Liberal vote needed -- that should (but never would) be subject to constitutional challenge, if their was some way to prove that at least 5 of their Quebec seats were won as a result of fraud. Perhaps Duff Conacher of Democracy Watch has something to say on that… then again, he’s too busy attacking PMSH to bother, or even care.

Sorry for getting back so late. You don't need a link, you only need to read the coalition document. The coalition is between the Libs and the Dippers with the Bloc agreeing to sustain coalition for years to come by agreeing not to bring down the government. This means to any logical thinker that the Lib/Dipper coalition only works if the Bloc is appeased. That is a veto! You can get technical with lawyer talk if you'd like, but reasonable people see the coalition for what it is. To quote Barak Obama: "you can put lipstick on a pig...".
