The Liberals and its MSM copied/aped their “WaferGate” entrapment of PM Harper, while he was attending Leblanc’s funeral, from the American Democrats’ spat re Ted Kennedy’s behaviour at a Papal mass.
The template is here**. The twisted/blasphemous sisters, KMeat and Carville, used this spat as their model/plot line as they plotted the entrapment of PM Harper.
The Canadian MSM was complicit in the attempted/failed entrapment.
The Liberal/MSM entrapment of PM Harper failed.
The American connection? James Carville*/Katmeat.
Did Kennedy eat the host or slip it into his pocket?

**”During Benedict’s 2008 trip to the U.S., there was some heated debate (with conflicting photographs and eyewitness accounts) about whether or not Kennedy took Holy Communion at the papal mass at Nationals Stadium in Washington,
with conservatives insisting that the Pope says the rite should be denied to pro-choice politicians. With this in mind, Church observers are keen to see if Boston’s Archbishop Cardinal Sean O’Malley will preside over Kennedy’s funeral.”

I hear Dewar's Scotch sent a huge wreath with a dancer in pasties and thong inside. She popped out after the Cardinal finished speaking and sang, "happy funeral to Ted". And then everyone had a triple on Dewar's.
Teddy would have loved it. Every bit of it. What a guy!

I particularly don't understand the fawning and adulation of a career politician who, while ostensibly capable as a legislator, could not reasonably be said to be significantly accomplished in terms of moving the U.S. electorate to the left. Further, the coverage this week keeps bleating about how Kennedy made it his life long ambition to implement some kind of universal health care in the U.S. To which I kept thinking, "Well then, the man was a miserable failure, wasn't he?"
And, don't even get me started over the whole Mary Jo affair.

The last thing the (disgraced) Cardinal does at the grave is read, in its entirety, Ted Kennedy's letter to Benedict XVI, which he had Barak Obama deliver to the Pontiff a month ago AND "parts of" Benedict XVI's response to Ted.
I would love to know what the other parts of Pope Benedict's letter were.
It seemed, from Ted's letter to the Pope, that he was trying to justify the "imperfect" parts of his life by all of the good things he had accomplished, which is not the way things operate in the spiritual life. It was pathetic. Whoa. I think the guy was sincerely concerned about the state of his immortal soul, as well he, and all of us, should be. But, to make this public AT THE GRAVE is pretty much over the top, like so much of Senator Kennedy's life.
Only G*d can judge a wo/man's immortal soul, and I entirely leave Ted Kennedy's to Him.

Ted Kennedy. Killed. A. Woman.
That is the only headline we need to see.
Will the rest of the Kennedys be as useless and filled with a sense of entitlement the way Trudeau Light is?
When will this madness end?
Listening to radio while driving to town to-day, I heard Obama say that Kennedy represented the soul of the Democratic Party, and I though how true. He clearly represented what that party has become and it is something about which to brag.
Posted by: Alain at August 29, 2009 10:41 PMSorry I meant it was not something about which to brag.
Posted by: Alain at August 29, 2009 10:42 PMIt all boils down to something like this:
Spend a good few hundred lifetimes perfecting: “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Matt. 7:12) tempered with "it is more blessed to give than it is to receive" Deut. 15:17 and alloy this with genuine mastery of humility, compassion and understanding and you will be right there. You will not need any stinking badge then. You will be able to preach your own sermon on the mount, wage war against the forces of darkness, and know how to feed the multitudes.
Guaranteed. Just send $29.95 to PO BOX 666 Kellogg, Michigan
Betcha there was a mega-million dollar check attached to his letter to the Pope. Kennedys believe they can buy anything with their money.
I wonder what went through the Pope's mind. Bet he gets a lot of checks like that. After all, those kinds of checks built the Vatican, a kind of mystical theme park.
Bet he cashed it right away, before someone could get a stop payment on it.

You've obviously never driven an emergency vehicle, and witnessed scores of accidents caused by "driving under the influence." My Dad was an auto dealer, I drove the tow truck on weekends. I've seen guys get in an accident, walk to the nearest house, farmer's yard etc. and forget where the accident happened. That's after they sobered up of course. Pretty hard to remember what happened in an accident if you don't remember where it happened.
I once picked up a fellow at a farm house who drove a 66 F-100 Ford in a dugout. Slight problem. He didn't recall what dugout, and if there was a passenger in the truck. Thank God there was a skiff of snow that night, the cops found the tracks. The driver didn't recall swiming out of the truck, he had walked over four miles in minus 10C weather.
I don't think Kennedy knew what really happened. He was never charged with DWI becuse at the time, that technology was in it's infancy. In any event, he's dead now. Does it really matter?

And also let people think that I always respected President Reagan's pretty wife Nancy, too – even when mom would scratch her eyes out of magazine photos and call her "that stuck-up skin-and-bones rhymes-with-mucking-door." Sure, I may have joined Mom and Doro in the Kennebunkport garage for the occasional spirited game of "Club the Actress," but my heart was never really in it when I was holding a Zippo to the hem or doing my mark-of-Zoro-thing with carpet cutters on Mom's mannequin in the red Adolfo gown." http://whitehouse.georgewbush.org/news/2004/060604.asp

Lefties have been implicated in every American presidential assassination or attempted assassination.
Lefties murdered twenty million in USSR, three million in Cambodia, the death toll has never been formalized in China but estimates are thirty-five to forty million. Hitler another famous lefty socialist murdered over eleven million.

No-One,
Thanks for bringing some sense back to the thread. The expressed sanctimony was becoming stifling.
When one passes from this mortal plane there is a balancing of the ledger, in some form or another. Many a good person has been remembered for a single mistake, thereby erasing a stellar life.
In 'teddy's' case, his life's reality lies on the debit side of the ledger. He is now, simply, a leger. The sooner he is forgotten the better our collected memories will be.
Mary Jo....RIP.

...should have read..."...the better OFF our collected memories will be".
From the New York Times this morning: "Edward M. Kennedy’s vision of government as guardian reached back to the Roosevelt era and never wavered."
There's nothing more annoying or patronizing than the entitled, privileged, moneyed left being our "guardians," which means overtaxing the hardworking, pay-their-own-bills, middle class to hand out our hard-earned money to the underclass they've created who've learned that doing nothing actually does pay. So, guess who they vote for?
While Ted Kennedy and his ilk (here in Canada: Jack Layton, Bob Rae, David Miller and his city-hall cabal, the Liberal Gang) "guard" the down-and-outer class they've helped to create, they've ended up creating a socialist Hell for the rest of us -- you know, the ones who pay the bills. You can only get so much blood from a stone ...
Some guardian.
Posted by: batb at August 30, 2009 8:49 AMTell me- what do you think of ANYONE who leaves the scene of an accident or who uses his status to avoid accepting the consequences of his actions? That is precisely what Ted Kennedy did. That's not dancing on someone's grave; that's telling the truth.

Glad he's dead.

Just because you swept something under the rug doesn't mean it is gone.

Shall we look at the "accomplishments"?:
While attending Harvard Kennedy was expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a classmate to cheat for him. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed up for four years instead of two. His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to England, pulled the necessary strings to have his enlistment shortened to two years, and to ensure that he served in Europe, not Korea, where a war was raging. Kennedy was assigned to Paris, never advanced beyond the rank of Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged.
Murdered Mary Jo Kopeche. "Leaving the island via an unlit bridge with no guard rail, Kennedy steered the car off the bridge then flipped into Poucha Pond. He swam to shore and walked back to the party -*- passing several houses and a fire station -*- and two friends returned with him to the scene of the accident. According to their later testimony, they told him what he already knew, that he was required by law to immediately report the accident to the authorities. Instead Kennedy made his way to his hotel, called his lawyer, and went to sleep.Kennedy called the police the next morning. By then the wreck had already been discovered. Before dying, Kopechne had scratched at the upholstered floor above her head in the upside-down car."
Commited treason by corresponding with foreign intelligence with the purpose of transferring national security information. "Kennedy asks Y.V. Andropov to consider inviting the senator to Moscow for a personal meeting in July of this year. The main purpose of the meeting, according to the senator, would be to arm Soviet officials with explanations regarding problems of nuclear disarmament so they may be better prepared and more convincing during appearances in the USA."
Cheated on his wife. "He is rumored to have had several affairs while married to his first wife, and had often been seen in public while thoroughly tanked and/or behaving obnoxiously. In 1987 he was caught in flagrante delicto with an unidentified woman on the floor of a restaurant. His public image since the early 1990s and during his second marriage has been more conservative and restrained."
The disgusting display of true evil by the late Senator must never be repeated again in our lifetimes.
I was wondering why Kennedy was buried in Arlington, a military cemetary since I had not heard of his military exploits. Here is one I dug up:
"Kennedy earned C grades at the private Milton Academy, but was admitted to Harvard as a "legacy" -- his father and older brothers had attended there, so the younger and dimmer Kennedy's admission was virtually assured. While attending, he was expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a classmate to cheat for him. "While attending law school at the University of Virginia, he was cited for reckless driving four times, including once when he was clocked driving 90 miles per hour in a residential neighborhood with his headlights off after dark. Yet his Virginia driver's license was never revoked. He passed the bar exam in 1959, and two years later was appointed an Assistant to the District Attorney in Massachusetts' Suffolk County."

Posted by: Edward Teach at August 30, 2009 12:34 PMThe article by Carl Cannon, posted by "No-One" is a "Must" read for those who admired Kennedy, and those who didn't.
I've read about this story since the day it happened, and can't see any truth in any of the pro-Kennedy versions, unless you suspend your disbelief mechanism, much like you have to do at any of the "fantasy" movies Hollywood sells these days.
I think it's faily plain and simple; Kennedy and his cohorts partied witha group of available young women. Teddy, drunk and horny, decided to take an attractive young woman for a nighttime "skinny-dip",and headed for the nearby beach. On the way, he lost control, for whatever reason, (where WERE MJK's hands during the drive,or Teddy's,maybe not on the wheel, where they should have been)and the car ended up in the water.
Teddy's only thought was self-preservation, as it always is with the "entitled", and he fled like the scoundrel he was.
I'd never heard of his contacting Andropov while Reagan was President,in an attempt to "correct" Presidential policy on missile deployment.
A Senator contacts the leader of an enemy Nation without the approval of the sitting President. Some might call that treason.

Yeah I drove the tow truck on weekends when I was in high school. That was in 1967. We didn't have computers back then, so instead of making fools of ourselves on the internet, we worked! I got first hand info on all the local accidents, and I god paid for it.
And by the way "anon," you'd be shocked at how many people accidentaly drive off roads and bridges at 3:00 AM. Even Conservatives who are "coming back from the office with their secretaries." (Sunday--3:00 AM--Ha Ha.) And five hours later, he was in church "clutching the bible." But I came from a family where we believe that "silence is golden." And he did give me a healthy "tip."
Dmorris,
Just read Carl Cannon's piece...a good read (is he Lou Cannon's son?). Tried to wade through some of the comments but...just like some of SDA'a threads...it wore me out. Two facts (?) left out were 1/ blood on Mary Jo's shirt (could have been accident related but wasn't publically reported) and 2/ Mary Jo's purse & hotel were back at the cottage. There are also sites where you can read the FBI's files along with a lot of the hidden/oppressed "public" records.
As for the letter to Andropov...I read the wording on a site that mirrored it with the letter kennedy asked Obama to hand deliver to the Pope (just think about the juxtaposed significance there!!).
Cheers

** ...purse and hotel KEYS.... **
Joe Cit. I think you are missing the big picture here. If Kennedy was having illicit sex when he drove off the road then called a tow truck to retrieve the car and rescue the young woman I could care the less if he was in church receiving mass the next Sunday. What bothers me is the fact that upon driving off the bridge he abandoned the only other person in the car, leaving her trapped in the car to die. I hope you can see the difference here.
I think the problem you are having is your hatred toward evangelical Christianity. Being Christian doesn't make you perfect. Every Christian I have ever known has struggled with some sort of temptation that recurs over one's lifetime. Being a Christian and giving in to temptation doesn't mean you stop trying to improve yourself and in the process encourage others to improve themselves as well. It means that you are reminded of your humble state and hopefully you realize you need to seek Grace all the more.
Let's hope and pray for better future in North America for real change they deserve to have it
for our good at least
public life is difficult life and political life is has more headache than good unless some one like to have that kind of job or handle it
This is like OK being doctor is good money can you handle every day one sick patient to help them or being enginner is good can you handle all uneducated worker who they wait for you to direct them or being police is good job to take safty can you handle teh all criminal and plan to correct them not abused them in jail that is question you must ask before take your future job
Ted Kennedy was more politician and act by law Harvard degree and his childhood photo show he has charcter and learn it from his older brothers.
During January 20, 1961 – November 22, 1963
What the mess was that period from any angle we can see it
we can ask Mr. Igntiff to correct of us he has PHD in history and we do not we only look at wilkpedea god know all info is right there
but analyse big problems in past can fix future of us and teach us do not repeat it again
or dare to think about it.
People must be ready and politician did not talk with public as they do in this past 10 years and
they wish good even ted Kennedy notice problem in health care but he was lawyer not able to fix it since operation problems and nobody to support him good dream but people and USA were not ready to change and accept or digest all thing
Ted Kennedy was look smart when he was young and look depressed when he was old under private life problems
How much private life can affect public life
if Irish want to change Muslim must give the Irish who are not drinking since people who drink they become cool or look cooler but Muslim are not drink are more emotional to issues future talk wit Muslim from English need a group who drink less
Any way,
Of first JF Kennedy
It was population people who believe god were more than people who did not believe god
Russia symbol for people who did not believe god under so many other names said in my post
It does not matter bedims or hindim or communist all did not believe god
I total of roughly 3.3 billion
Again each group who believe god also has their own problems of Muslim vs. Jewish vs. Christian
Vs.
America for people who believe god were total include Muslim and Jewish and few other it become
3.8 Roughly billion again each has their small disagreement together among each other between north and South Korea and Japan and China
Second disagreement over technology and satellite and science and stealing information and going to Moon and etc...
Third disagreement was over distribution of wealth and all mine and gold and resources of earth if they did not get oil then they force to sell it to USA
4th disagreement was drug and Cuba promise made more American in drug and in help of Mexico to made their generation with drug and alcohol and sex destroy their new generation over power military revenge
5th was disagreement over family of Kennedy they were from mid class not rich in those period and careless ant still not handle the fame in all family and new marriage with supermodel who were alcoholism add more stranger and security in family of Kennedy and link of Kennedy with Monroe and other dirty women and etc... called private life problems of them some group did not like their president affair
6th was distribution of wealth who has money and who doest and made USA as richest plant and other third world country blame to bad politic in those year and selfishness of American
7th problems were bad policy in foreign affair and made people rather than united angry and increase their hate. Canada PM in time of JF Kennedy was German background prime minster of Canada and Israel and Middle east and Arab country and start give room open for more corruption in Iraq for all sake of land and money and gold and use religion and discrimination to play with rest of us later to hate each other
8th problems inside politic in USA between CIA link with both and more to Democrat and Pentagon in favor of republican fight over control and bully of the world illegal
9th was lack of good law makers and illegal actives of lawyers who pull toward one unfairly and lack of ethic as we can call it human right here under question in big picture
10th problems nuclear war among people that made some thing and that weapon turn to kill themselves now under no control and correct use of electrical at least
11th problems racism in USA was top in those time
12 the problems was attitude and anger of American people toward each other and that was no freedom of talk and some has scared even ted Kennedy was scared to become president in 1975 or some time around that period American culture not understood for people. There was not link between politician and scientist and economist and public and people to know and analyze they made bad decision and go for it and this later end up more corruption in US system if US do not understand what is their weakness was and not address and rather hid their problems never able to fix it and if they do not fix it they will lead to more lost financially and lose their army life and damage them emotionally to know other culture and see and punish anybody for what they deserve and ask every one in degree they are allow and sell their good with price tag not by force and conspiracy and illegal competition.
We can call it big mess in every thing and
Kennedy touch all and not able to handle it and directed he was not qualified and good manager and people was not ready to take all changes at once and peel need time to digest all politic and not ready to do revolution if he was right in most of what he planed to do so I think Ted Kennedy was smartest Kennedy in compare of other if we review with each other, at least he keep his life longer than other short!!!! Leader of each country like lawyer of each single of people of their own country they must take their own problems and resolve and sometime there is conflict of interest among two nation is exist that need to find solution for it and not one bully others and think other seat to help USA free of charge because they are third world country or ask for their help to seat in their country for rest of their life.
so many bills was passed by Ted Kennedy in good faith and so many was ingored and should not stay quiet may his life worst to not say a word
Posted by: new at August 30, 2009 3:18 PMjoe citizen, that would compare with my summer jobs of working with various engineering companies, NOT. But still doesn't excuse the teddy pig murderer.

Posted by: Kathryn at August 30, 2009 7:16 PMI happened upon this site looking for a possible commemorative logo from Google this weekend due to Senator Edward Kennedy's death. Especially after feeling encouraged due to the commemorative logo they provided for Michael Jackson yesterday.
I have to say, I haven't come upon this much hate, angst, and thinly veiled racism ("What is Black and White and Red All Over") in a very, very long time! It's not just disappointing, it's sad really! However Mary Jo's death happened (murder, manslaughter, accident, whatever), it happened. And therefore it's over. People live, learn, grow and hopefully change. It seems that Sen. Kennedy did all those things and refused to be chained to his less than celebratory past by "negative ninnies" that have some sick and twisted vested interest in not allowing others to admit their mistakes, pay whatever pennance was meted out, and move on to see a better day in order to do better and be better also.
For all the bible thumpers out there, remember GOD used and continues to use faulted characters to advance his causes and commandments. (Remember that "drunk" Moses???) They were broken, but, with GOD's help, refused to be beaten! Sen. Kennedy is a true example of what being a "Changed Man" is all about. He deserves redemption, not hate and vitriol!
I, for one (and perhaps the ONLY one on this site), am truly blessed to have Sen. Kennedy and the Kennedy clan to grace this nation with their pressence. I am, and we are, the better for it. If you won't aknowledge him, then aknowledge his legislative work where he penned or co-penned more than 1,000 bills (over 300 himself alone). I am thankful for him and to him that I was able to attend college through student loans, buy a house through special gov't programs, not lose my job when I took time to give birth to my children or nurse them back to health. And so on, and so on...
Judge not, lest ye be judged. Let ye without sin cast the first stone. Spread love, not hate.

You (and many others) are assuming that following a car accident, everyone has his or her full cognitive abilities. You're assuming that Kennedy was drunk, yet he was never convicted for DWI. You're assuming that he was aware that M.J. Kopechne was still in the car when he swam to the surface. You have no evidence of that. You're assuming that he knew exactly where the car was after he swan to the surface. You have no evidence of that. Have you ever tried to locate a vehicle under water at night? I have. Trust me--you know nothing.

Beauty,
"You whisper a breath of hope for the human race"
Joe Citizen has applied this to you. A wonderful thing to say and I will believe you deserve it.
Please look at my Aug 30 8:13am post. It's not full of hate and vitriol...merely a statement of fact.
"Judge not, lest ye be judged. Let ye without sin cast the first stone. Spread love, not hate".
This you applied to the posters. Some may deserve it. But, in my mind, Kennedy doesn't deserve you wasting your sweet and gentle soul to try to clean up his tarnisted soul...the one he tarnished himself! I didn't do it...you didn't do it and neither did the posters above.
Sounds like a wonderful ideal to try to uphold...a lot of us still do...reminds me of my idealistic, youthful so-called hippie days...but I grew up. No, I didn't give up the ideals...not at all. I just learned when I should apply them and, most importantly, when I should not. And I choose not to apply mine to kennedy.
"However Mary Jo's death happened (murder, manslaughter, accident whatever) it happened. And therefore it's over". Please, please, tell me you don't truly believe that? That you can write-off a life so easily? I have to believe you've never checked out what we, the public, were allowed to know about that 'accident' (that which kennedy and his money and his henchmen weren't able to bury along with Mary Jo).
"Sen kennedy is a true example of what being a "changed man" is all about"...even I, who prides myself in always looking for the good in everyone, can't see the sun through the personal black cloud this person dragged behind and over him ALL his life. Maybe you should do a little more research on this individual (the negative history is just too much. And ALL his OWN doing).
I have to stop now before it's taken as a rant...that isn't my intent. Keep your wonderful soul intact but don't waste it on those who aren't deserving (I don't determine/conclude who these people are...they do!)
In closing one question: "Do you believe kennedy really admitted his mistakes?" I don't believe he ever truly admitted anything that even closely resembled sincerity about anything, when it came to his 'doings'.
Some might say he was "Teflon Teddy". There are many, like myself, who believe he simply 'Scotch-guarded' himself.
Good luck.

OK let's disect this.
(1)You (and many others) are assuming that following a car accident, everyone has his or her full cognitive abilities.
Has no problem returning to his hotel, changing his wet clothes and complaining about a loud party at the front desk. This after he supposedly told his party buddies that he chashed his car and returned to the scene of the crime. Since he didn't report the accident until over nine hours later and only after the car had been found by others his state of inebriation would be difficult to prove. Or perhaps you're naive enough to think they were drinking tea. BTW Kennedy himself said that he had been drinking that evening, just a third of a beer and two drinks (that in itself provokes severe disbelief) so I guess that sort of makes you look like a real tool.
(2) You're assuming that he was aware that M.J. Kopechne was still in the car when he swam to the surface.
Teddys words one week later and I quote verbatim "I made immediate and repeated efforts to save Mary Jo by diving into the strong and murky current"
teddy at the inquiry
Q.You were not confused at that time?
A.Well, I knew there was a girl in that car and I had to get her out. I knew that.
(3)Have you ever tried to locate a vehicle under water at night? I have.
Really? Post your resume otherwise I'll assume your ten pounds of shat in a five pound bag.
Also I suppose it never occurred to your feeble brain that the lights of the car were on?
