On one hand we have a belligerent country, ruled by a madman, adept a stirring up trouble in neighbouring nations and hell-bent on acquiring nuclear weapons. Better stay away from these guys in case we are seen to be interfering.
On the other hand we have a small, poor Central American country whose military, under instructions from the country's Supreme Court, turfed a socialist maniac who was determined to appoint himself ruler for life. Let's pile on.
After all, Honduras is a much easier target than Iran.

I was looking at it from a different angle. This appears to be completely consistent with the Obama administrations foreign relations to date. TOTUS has been making friends with foes, often to the ire of current allies. On top of that, he has intentionally created friction with allies through foreign and economic policy.
Making friends with our foes and alienating our allies is consistent with the leftist ideology. As I’ve said before, the left has been hijacked by self-loathing liberty haters. Too bad “moderates” that vote for left leaning parties appear to be ignorant to this.
