You're still here?

It's Friday! Go away.

Go enjoy some blues with Darcey. He's featuring a a "great" Chinese Lager. You remember the Chinese right? They pretty much own America and are the only people capable of putting a halt to the wing nut to their east.

Enjoy your weekend, it'll be the last one for a while that you won't be encumbered by politicians on their summer break. Remember Klein's words when dealing with those pesky types, cause I guarantee, OFF™ doesn't work.

Anyway, have a good weekend all. Kate is supposed to be back on Sunday.

Cheers,
lance

I was going to leave, but I thought I stick around to keep an eye on Vitruvius, he gets a little cranky in the evening.

Give 'em 6 months, it's going to happen. Mark my words.

Never tried Yanjing Beer (PRC), and probably won't after the pan. But I certainly had my share of Taiwan Beer (ROC), and can easily recommend it. High octane, high quality, large bottles (glass so eco-friendly), readily available in every 7-11 store.

I miss Ralph. really.

I forgot the picture link to Taiwan Beer. Kind of fuzzy, just like I remember it.

Me, Cranky? Nonsense. You just wait and see. Tonight's
Late Night Radio is awesome (yeah, yeah, I know, as usual).

Vitruvius,

Of course I meant cranky in a funk sort of way, not in a "whatever the hell kind of music Soulja Boy" performs way.

Looking forward to LNR, which usually is awesome.

Yet, SDH, you must admit, I think, that a musical pun off Pete Brown's classic wasn't something you would have expected. The "unexpected reference" shtick is one of the four foundation forms of comedy, and it is, I think, my favourite.

Posted by: Vitruvius at June 19, 2009 8:53 PM

It wasn't.

I'm not sure I've ever heard it before. I was firmly into my Iron Maiden/Judas Priest/generic 80's hair/metal band phase when it was released.

I've only come around to more classic music later in life.

Tom Waits, of course, has always been classic. Off to listen....
