Eric S. Margolis is an award-winning, internationally syndicated columnist.

I'm sure someone could conjure up a new award for him to place on his mantle.

Nobody 'has' to read Eric Margolis, and it's impossible for any rational person to 'want' to.

For a man who hob knobs with world leaders, goes to places others won't to get the 'goods'..why is this man so wrong, so often?

It is almost comical to hear his take on nearly every issue fly in the face of the facts and reason..

The unkindest cut of all was when I found myself watching an American news channel and having them bring on Eric wonderboy as a "Canadian" military or history expert or whatever.

That dipwad is so far out in left field he makes Smiling Jack look normal.

He sounds like he gets paid by the word from any or all of the anti-Israeli bunch.

I have been getting the Sun for well over 20 years, only because it is slightly better than Herald. The minute I see an article by that a&*&3%#6, I skip it as fast as possible. I have often wondered why in the world that supposed journalist is still getting a check from the Sun. Surely they have better things, and people to spend their money on.

I am so relieved that i am not the only one who sees this jerk for what he is.

Imagine Cindy, take away the heels, the makeup, and, an x chromosome, and well, the good looks, then add a keyboard and a vicious hatred for the United States, Israel, and the democratic world.

That, in a nutshell, are the differences between the two.

Also, one of them I'd love to whisper sweet nothings to, and the other, I wouldn't whisper nothing to.

This is the same guy who predicted 10,000 US casualties during Gulf War 1. Combat casualties were'nt near that much but it turned out almost that number ended up suffering from "Gulf War Syndrome". This was something Margolis could never have predicted, yet used it to claim victory for his prediction when he was called on his bullshit.

This "military expert" actually predicted the US would win a Phyrric victory against an army that used 1914 tactics in its 8 year war with Iran.

In a few articles he claimed he served in the US army during the Vietnam war. This was true to the letter, just that he never crawled in the jungle killing charlie, he spent it in classrooms teaching military history.

Whats hard to believe is that Margolis is co-editor of Pat Buchanan's conservative magazine.

Thats the wierd thing. H'es not a lefty by any means. Free-market advocate and describes himself as an "Eisenhour Republican".

You should have seen the glowing reviews he gave of Bush in his first few months in office. But talk about the mideast and his brain shuts down, all he can spew are the smelliest leftist bromides and patented Soviet propaganda. He wrote an article in the Sun about how the Isrealis are developing an ant Arab bio warfare strain. How that got beyond Lorrie Goldstein is beyond me.

I used to subscribe to a sun media publication. not anymore.

Margolis is forever lost in the COLD WAR.
He doesn't realize it is over (or won't accept it) and that his side lost...

I have a simple procedure for deciding whether or not to read Margolis:
Read the first paragraph. If he denigrates the US, or references the latest calamity to George Bush, then stop immediately in order to protect your sanity.
If you make it past the first paragraph, read two more paragraphs. Use the same criteria except that the number of slams against the US is now three or less. If more than three proceed to the Sunday funnies.
Using this procedure I have read exactly ONE complete Margolis column in the past four years.

Margolis had a muslim mother, a famous Albanian female journalist by the name of Nexhmie Zaimi who covered the Palestinians. This colours his opinion of Islamism and the Muslim world somewhat.
