"..and to protest bird strikes on wind turbines they'll perform the much loved Chicken Dance!"*

Prior to the community meeting held in the auditorium at Western Christian College, about 40 people gathered on a patch of grass and joined hands in a circle. Swaying and alternately moving forward and back and side-to-side, they performed "The Elm Dance," which organizers described as being "in solidarity with those around the world who have been and are being harmed by uranium mining and nuclear power generation".

I didn't realize the world's largest procedure of uranium had so many anti-nuke types. Go figure!

Once again, the neo-pagans dance to the honour of those inanimate objects whose intelligence exceeds those of the dancers.

So...that was the Happy-to-be-alive elm dance, not like this sad-cuz-it's-dead elm dance?

People are right. At the meeting they only provided one side of the argument. I mean, when they showed an Inconvenient Truth they also showed----oh wait!

Are any of these people that hold up "wind and solar" signs while most likely frothing at the mouth about Bush and Harper or some other conservative government actually off the grid and living on "alternate energy"?

I didn't think so. But I'm sure that's somebody else's fault too.

Geothermal is a good idea to augment the heating of your house. Proven technology that works, unlike Wind and Solar. The problem is that you can buy and heck of a lot of natural gas for the cost of installing a geothermal system. There are all sorts of ways to construct really efficient buildings, but again high costs deter this from happening. Why not make a difference and try to make this real 'here and now' technology affordable instead pushing the make belief stuff?

Holding hands while singing in a circle pretending like you know what's what and trying to believe fantasy into reality isn't going to generate enough power, even if you add crystals.

Add crystal meth cut with PCP. Then they'll be ready to throw on a hamster wheel generator.

Mind you they might be good to go now...

Yeah...skip the meth. They'll burn out faster. We need to keep them sustainable.

These lefties have the same stupid mentality of those in California and the UK. Both examples are running out of power because the granola group refused to allow nuclear power plants to be built and due to the long lead time to bring it onstream now must purchase power from other sources like France for the UK.

Just read their asinine comments criticizing those who want nuclear as pro-business or Saskatchewan party supporters. Where do these fools think the energy to turn on their lights comes from, the government same as their income?

While protesting the conventional mode of power generation, these warm and fuzzy people (or care bears as some call them) either don’t know or don’t want to know that the wind and solar generation is 100% dependant on the weather conditions.
The wind and sun generation is at most an auxiliary at times when there is wind and cloudless day as opposed to night.
Some may not believe this, there are many people that think that when the wind stops blowing they can hook up a motor to it to make it spin. There are those that are surprised that the photocells don’t generate power at night even though it is called solar power.
With a crowd like that, it is effortless to make them think what ever Gore, Suzuki, Obama, May,..will say is the final answer, they heard it on TV, just like the gardener (Being There).

Maybe LED will meet solar some day. Just not today.
