"If you can't predict, predict often."

"If you can't predict, make up for it in dramatic value."

"If you can't predict, remind everyone of the times that you got lucky. That'll make people think you can."

In a court of law, lawyers often try to destroy, or at least call into question, the credibility of witnesses. If successful, they stand a good chance of winning their argument and case.

Given that we now know that Hansen's credibilty is shot, or at least suspect, why does the media still afford him coverage? Gore, Prince Charles, Suzuki, Hansen et al have all made stark predictions WRT AGW that are becoming increasingly remote. An honest press would say as much.

Well, here it is in sunny Southern Alberta. The day before the Victoria Day long weekend and it is 0. The trees are about a month behind in budding and we had snow two days ago. We are on the verge of breaking the record for cold, wet springs which was set...wait for it...LAST YEAR!

It's time to start prosecuting the Y2Kyoto Fraudsters!

P.S. come help us celebrate the 100th anniversary of the longest, highest bridge of its type in the world. Dress warmly as it will be June

I wonder how many media wankers actually know the truth and how many are just lazy, ignorant fools towing the party line unquestioningly.

If you cannot predict, tell them the "science is settled" and will not be discussed further. Remember only climate science has this characteristic.

If you cannot predict, launch abusive personal attacks against your critics. Associating them with Holocaust deniers works well.

If you cannot predict, ramp up the climate porn. Associate every anecdotal adverse weather event with global warming.

If you cannot predict, tell them the lack of correlation between your model and the facts is attributable to some anomalous event like la Nina.

If you cannot predict and all else fails just make stuff up.

Pretty well covered it all, Bart F.

Why does the media keep pushing the fraud ? And leave themselves vulnerable to lawsuits ? Dunno. Just afraid to back track now and leave the hook, line and sinker crowd, well, ... on the hook ?

Hansen, Gore, Suzuki are not just afraid of loosing a big chunk of their wealth and income - they will have more than enough to live well forever - carbon diet and all. I think they just pale at the thought of all their disciples being on the street. With no resume !

Lets have a look at your resume, here. The past 27 years you we're heavily involved in promoting Global war.... mmmm Don't call us, we'll call you.

Shut the f*ck up, Bart and sit down. No need for rabble-rousing, you scum-of-the-earth earth-hater bastard. (sarc off)

Good post

As credible as a young(ish) David Suzuki, who came to my public school in 1978 to help get the word out about global cooling..remember? We were all going to freeze in the dark?

As*hats...

[ Troy -- It was supposed to be a shining example of the green movement -- a completely independent solar-powered house with no gas or electrical hookups.

Seven months ago, officials gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the $900,000 house owned by the city of Troy that was to be used as an educational tool and meeting spot.

But it never opened to the public. And it remains closed.

Frozen pipes during the winter caused $16,000 in damage to floors, and city officials aren't sure when the house at the Troy Community Center will open.

"It's not safe right now, and there's no estimated opening time because it depends on when we can get funding," said Carol Anderson, director of the city's Parks and Recreation Department. ] Detroit News

Sooo, why did it fail ?

Sun didn't shine enough ? Nope.

Solar panels not up to the task ? Nope.

Because, ... wait for it

the $900,000, 800-square-foot home, which was supposed to be livable year-round, free from the grid and churn out enough solar power to support a home-based business and electric vehicle, froze solid because ..

"The system was designed to kick a heater on to keep water from freezing," Biegler said. "The heater drew all reserve power out of the battery causing the system to back down and the pipes froze."

That's it ? Nope.

" ..somebody turned off the breaker during the winter and forgot to turn it back on, which caused the pipes to freeze and then break."

Anyone buying that ? Besides Gore, Suki and Dion ?

These guys(Hanson, fruitfly, manbearpig, etc) remind of that psychic JoJo,who couldn't even see the demise of her own scam coming!!

Surely these measurements must have been made by one of jim Henson's muppets. The names are similar and muppets are not good with rulers.

From the 'David Suzuki's ass is still sucking slough water' file:

-20C last night at the Ekati Diamond mine, 200 miles NE of Yellowknife.
-40 with the wind chill.
