Lights Out

Support your local Flagrant Islamophobe! In the mail this week,

"The perfect gift for the Canadian Islamic Congress member or "human rights" commissar in your family! Lights Out rounds up all the offensive Steyn columns Mohamed Elmasry attempted to criminalize, republishes them in one convenient volume - and then adds new commentary on the battle for free speech, the delusions of multiculturalism, and the dimming of liberty in a fainthearted west."

You can order a copy here.

The resultant era will be referred by historians as the darky ages.

The dork ages.

Funny how you can't order it with Amazon.

And when exactly will Mark Levin's new book be available in Canada?

Posted by: Doug at April 26, 2009 11:50 AM

Mark Levin's book on Amazon.ca.
http://www.amazon.ca/Liberty-Tyranny-Conservative-Mark-Levin/dp/1416562850/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1240761448&sr=8-1

Great book and a must read.

"And when exactly will Mark Levin's new book be available in Canada?"

I actually found the book at Indigo (no choice, no other book store around) buried in Politics at the back...Lots of Obama love to be found up front though.

Posted by: pongo at April 26, 2009 2:00 PM

Sounds like a good read. wish I had more free time for reading than I do, even though I have a bit more than a lot of folks my age. Be nice to make a living mostly just writing posts and books and stuff...

Just got three books in the mail from World Net Daily, besides...

And who's Mark Levin? The author of that book is Mark Steyn.

Posted by: Canadian Sentinel at April 26, 2009 2:30 PM

Mark Levin is the author of Liberty and Tyranny. Mark Levin is a radio talk show host. Conservative. An earlier book, Men in Black was also a best seller. About the Supreme Court.
Liberty and Tyranny is number one at Amazon and can be bought at Amazon.ca for a great price. I am looking at my copy, sitting on my desk as I write. It is a must have. If you read nothing else read Mark Levin, Mark Steyn and Kupelians Marketing of Evil. That will pretty much bring you up to date and 'in the mix' for what we have to fight today and how we must accomplish it.
I never have a problem getting books from US released books immediately on Amazon.ca and Mark Levin's book, which is Number One on the NYT's bestsellers list, was no exception. WND also has an impressive line up of must reads if you are an avid reader as I am.
Personally, I am off to find Mark Steyn's book now. His America Alone is a clarion call and also a MUST READ.

Posted by: Snowbunnie at April 26, 2009 3:02 PM

After a quick check both at Amazon.ca and at Steynonline ( Kate's link about seems not to be working for me today) I find that Amazon.ca does not have the book availablae yet. Mark has it at his site but to ship to Canada is another $10.75 which I would rather avoid if possible. ( One of the main reasons I buy from Amazon.ca , apart from their excellent customer service is their free shippng options) I would, personally, rather do it there but if it never becomes available, I will go to Mark's own site and bite that shipping bullet. Considering the list of Mark Steyn's books available, including one due out Jan of 2010, I have a feeling it may soon be available.

Posted by: Snowbunnie at April 26, 2009 3:15 PM

The book is available at Amazon.com, and through Steyn's own site, but nothing on Amazon.ca. Don't bother looking at politically correct Indigo either, I'd say.

Posted by: Werner at April 26, 2009 3:51 PM

I bought Mark Levin's Liberty and Tyranny at Indigo two weeks ago. It WAS the last copy in that store. Maybe Indigo doesn't plan to order any more.

Posted by: lookout at April 26, 2009 4:10 PM

Conservatives ought to set up their own printing house.

Posted by: Revnant Dream at April 26, 2009 4:25 PM

Won't mind the $10 nor even $20 in shipping as it would cost that much in gas and parking to get it home from any book store anyway.
AND that's if we could find it.
Tomorrow I will call the number on Mark's site and order the books I've been wanting to read.
1-866-799-4500 8am to 3 pm eastern time.

Thanks for the info, Snowbunnie.

I've read "Marketing of Evil". Great eye opener, and it inspired me to buy "The Kinsey Corruption" to read further about the crimes against humanity Alfred Kinsey commited which invalidate his infamous claims about "human sexuality".

Will remember your recommendation on Mark Levin's work.

One day, I'd like to write similar books. Might as well put my prolific unpaid writing to profitable use.

Revnant Dream, there's "Sentinel", a conservative-books division of Penguin:

Nothing to do with me. Coincidence in the name.

Not an admirer of Steyn, but on topic --

Was J. G. Ballard a prophet of doom - or the future?
How thin is the skin of civilization?

How thin is the skin of civilization? How easily does it break and become an open, suppurating wound? These were the questions that sear through every page of the late J.G. Ballard’s novels – and they will be the questions of the twenty-first century. Ballard believed that human beings are a violent primate species, prone to occasional spasms of civilization that soon pass as our primitive instincts reassert themselves. In his work, humans are like chimps in bow-ties, conducting a tea-party for the cameras. We might look charming and functional for a moment, but we will soon toss the cups aside and start defecating on the table.

Rev @ 4:25 - The Right Book Club! And Ezra's the man to do it; our Victor Gollancz, only sane and not a liar.

Canadian Sentinel

Black Mamba

Thanks for the info to you both. Didn't know about either of em.

As for Ezra. I don't see how he keeps up the pace on this book tour. I want more exposure to America of this disease of the hate crime dhimmi's.
Right now I am really worried about what’s going on down South. They should be armed well & Ezra has the ammunition in shakedown of the law fare sharia pushers.

Along with Kathy Shaidle's Tyranny of Nice & Jonah Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism. A great troika. Mark Steyn stands out like some well groomed erudite Old testament Court Prophet to the West. Predicting depressingly accurate scenarios years in advance of the Muslim onslaught . Using their own quotes as ballast against the lies of the Islamists.
America Alone will stand as a long lived testimony against the West’s inaction in the face of brutality by its industries of human rights scavengers. Can't wait to get his new book.
Frankly these folks are our days Paul Reveres & Ben Franklins. Even they don’t know it yet I bet.

You're welcome Canadian Sentinal. One other book I should have mentioned is The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam by Robert Spencer.
Now you talk about an EYE opener!
Another good one that is relevant today in light of the memos released about 'torture' is Shadow War about all the clandestine things that have gone on to protect the US since 9/11. ( could not find this title even over at conservativebookclub.com) so it might be out of print but I have a copy of it here. Funny how that is not available at this juncture while Nancy P is out there lying through her false teeth. Mark Steyn is a prophet. Mark Levin is a genius and Ezra Levant is just outstanding in all arenas.

Posted by: Snowbunnie at April 27, 2009 2:30 AM

And who's Mark Levin?

He's the author, CS, of Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, published in March this year. I've listened the book during long commutes, and it's well worth having. I'm looking forward to Steyn's new book, as well.
