Take Me, Obama

Daily Mail...

"Mr Obama uttered a sentence. Mr Brown nodded. Mr Obama paused. Mr Brown froze, frowning. Mr Obama made a very slight joke. Mr Brown gassed himself, laughing for a good 30 seconds, eyelids fluttering like the wings of a soft-flapping Cabbage White."

The Telegraph...

"Yes We Can. And yes, we would. He's so lithe and handsome and funny and smart and he bestrides the free world like a Colossus and will buy us each a puppy."

And the Times ...

"This is how the Second Coming will be, if the Lord chooses to make His appearance in a VH-3D helicopter fitted with anti-missile flares..."

The British press is putting on a clinic for their Yank counterparts.

Gus when my ancestors first came to Canada they ate their puppy and horse in the 1780's were tough times.

I know one lefty who was clamoring that he was the best president ever before he even took office. LOL If it's based on diversity would be the only way one could think that was true. It's obviously not based on his track record.

But why would how good a president is be actually based on their track record,....

All his 'achievements'... now that's downright funny!

But I guess advancing to the top via affirmative action and a couple of strategically placed teleprompters is an achievement for the ages for some.

Not much in the way of "leg tingle" comments there eh?

From the Times article: [Waiting for Obama to land in London] was Benedict O’Looney, 42, an architect from Peckham in South London who spent much of his childhood in Delaware. He said: “We are here because we are so relieved that there is now a breath of progressive wind blowing over from the United States. It’s the least we could do to be here and say, ‘Yeah!’.

So in the same city where thousands of people are protesting against ... who knows what ... we have similar people praising Obama's "progressive wind" sweeping over America.

The Mighty Emperor O! will never have to smell the fetid stench of his own "progressive wind". Like his mentors; Marx, Mao, Stalin and their ilk, He will be ensconced in his perfumed salon, far from the lumpen proletariat who will suffer the benefits of His glorious vision.

Methinks the Canadians are just jealous that Obama has been praised while Harper gets a description that, while semi-insulting, almost fits Canada at the best of times:

"The best that can be said for Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper is that he could moonlight as a television evangelist, and he does look like a man without any sort of body odour, which may have niche appeal."

Boring, odourless and sometimes preachy. Thats us.

I wonder how many women here would find Obama attractive if he were a Republican, or better yet, if they discounted the politics factor altogehter. Lets hear some honest opinions.

Why is no one embarrassed by this schoolgirl behaviour? It's like we've recovered from our fawning over g-d- fugly and just as useless Trudeau now to do it to Obama, a man whose sole talent is telling everyone how wonderful he is (let's not forget that cheap vain Michelle Obama- yeah, no one has IPODs in Great Britain).

I couldn't find PMSH in the the first group photo but he's in the second. WTF? Second row, first on the right beside Merkel. But it almost looks like it's photoshopped in. The group seems to be focussing to their right and PMSH is staring to his left.

Question: Why wasn't he in the first?

Perhaps the biggest looming disappointment for Obama fanatics will be the rapid evaporation of positive opinion towards the one in Europe. As the items in this post illustrate that is already happening. The ridiculous gifts certainly have accelerated it and demanding more troops in afstan and practicing protectionism on behalf of the trade unions (coming soon) will make him possibly more unpopular than W in a few years.

No one can be as uncouth as Obama and be culturally sensitive. (an ipod featuring your own imagined oratory prowess as a gift isn't cool, it's narcissistic & classless)

Oh and calling people knuckle draggers; well that's a bit classless & definitely lacks cultural sensitivity

Women lose their minds when a handsome and powerful man is in the room. It is no surprise to me that tons of woman voted for BO because of his looks and style. Many women who voted for him are quoted musing about sleeping with him. Look at movies, women will go to a crappy movie and rave about it because of the hunk in the show (ex.Jonny Depp in Pirates). This is not the same criteria men use to pick movies or Presidents, unless their metro, but are those guys really men?

Jack's response to the New World Order/Socialism Uber Alles/Communist Internationale/Mao Stlong's Greatest Ever Leap Forward:

“Garbage!”

I just found the full text of the G20 communique and you have to read it to believe it.

1. We, the Leaders of the Group of Twenty, met in London on 2 April 2009.

2. We face the greatest challenge to the world economy in modern times; a crisis which has deepened since we last met, which affects the lives of women, men, and children in every country, and which all countries must join together to resolve. A global crisis requires a global solution.

3. We start from the belief that prosperity is indivisible; that growth, to be sustained, has to be shared; and that our global plan for recovery must have at its heart the needs and jobs of hard-working families, not just in developed countries but in emerging markets and the poorest countries of the world too; and must reflect the interests, not just of today’s population, but of future generations too. We believe that the only sure foundation for sustainable globalisation and rising prosperity for all is an open world economy based on market principles, effective regulation, and strong global institutions.

4. We have today therefore pledged to do whatever is necessary to:

[...]

Read it all and if you live in a developed country try to convince yourself that this bunch of clowns are correct as they spend YOUR money so the world can be a “happy place” again. I’m not going to say anymore. I’m infuriated and I need to cool down."

Don't kid yourself that Obama is not attractive. We will never defeat him if we kid ourselves about him. He has a great voice too, and most people are completely unaware of his utter dependence on a teleprompter.

I figure that we are just going to have to take an economic bath that will be on the level of destructiveness of WWII to learn. Then in three generations, the kids will do it again.

Posted by: tim in vermont at April 2, 2009 5:03 PM

Tim, I think that 2010's midterm election are both critical and pivotal. Sadly though, I don't yet see that the Republican Party "gets" what it needs to do to turn things around.

I'm hoping that Mark Levin's new book will have an impact but I fear that it will only reach the choir and not the masses.

Yesterday a woman called into his show and echoed what I've heard from a lot of Democrats: "Democrats look out more for the 'little guy'." I vehemently disagree with this. But if Politician 'D' is offering people lots of goodies and Politician 'R' is only offering people better opportunities to earn their own goodies then in today's culture it's an uphill climb for the latter. :-(

I understand why Obama chooses to play down the issue of, “immoral” drug use, however I believe he should have shown more respect to the issue marijuana legalization and shown the same insight and common sense honesty that he was elected for. At the inauguration Obama highlighted the Presidency of Abraham Lincoln a man who led this country through one of its darkest times. What was remarkable about the Civil War was that it pitted brother against brother, a display to history that Americans are capable of inflicting terrible brutalities to one another when they fall on opposing sides of a powerful ideology. There are similarities between the “civil” war of old and the war on drugs today. Both wars pit Americans against Americans in a battle of divisiveness, bloodshed and suffering. Americans should exercise our collective control of government and email, call or write a representative. By doing so the drug war will become an issue that has to be dealt with now rather than a lingering one to be laughed off and prolonged as long as it is politically prudent to do so.

Oh, I remember the WaPo running stories like "Fantasies about Bill" when Slick Willie was elected. Liberal women were wetting their pants over him too.

Liberals like to believe that only liberals are sexy. We conservatives are all supposed to be too uptight and prudish and generally replusive and lame to be sexy. When a Democratic friend of mine got up enough nerve at a party to say (back in 2002 or so) that she had to admit Dubya looked pretty damn good in jeans and cowboy boots, her liberal friends acted like she had cut one in church. "How could you possibly think that?"

When even a liberal has to admit that that a specific conservative is attractive (Sarah Palin), then they immediately have to follow it up with "of course, she's a bimbo." (I heard that about Palin even before the Couric interview and the SNL routines.) Because if she was smart, she'd be a lefty like me, of course!

If Johnny Depp turned Republican overnight (the odds are better than I'll turn into a toaster or a soup kettle at the stroke of midnight), all the liberal women who think he's sexy now would start calling him an ugly twerp and a pig.

(And of course, lefties are as wrong about who's really sexy as they are about everything else. I've dated libs - was one myself once - and I've dated conservative men. Let's just say I noticed a dramatic difference in testesterone levels.)

Single women were one demographic who voted overwhelmingly for Obama, their imaginary boyfriend who will take care of them the way the missing men in their lives will not.

Let's face it, there are just too many demographic groups who are unwilling to stand on their own two feet and are going to vote for the lying leftists who pretend they can satisfy all parasitic demands by taxing to death the few productive people left who pay their own way. Killing the golden goose makes for one excellent meal after which everyone starves equally (except the elite who created the mess).

Gordon Brown also picks his nose (and wipes it on the backside of his tie) in Parliament. Look for it on YouTube. Same goes for Sylvio Berlusconi, who, I noticed, was sweating profusely at the G20, mopping his brow and face with a hanky...
