Hope. Change. Repossession.
Posted by Kate at March 15, 2009 12:31 AMKiicker is at the end of the column where she states she wants to sell it and get a new car...
I wonder what the resale value of a POS Ion with POTUS graffitti all over it is worth. Maybe she could hook up with the crowd selling the obama coins on tv.
Posted by: Gord Tulk at March 15, 2009 1:40 AMGee, looking at that car it's hard to believe she got laid off from her job as a graphic artist.
*cough cough*
Posted by: EBD at March 15, 2009 1:52 AMYes we can !!!!!!
Posted by: Revnant Dream at March 15, 2009 3:47 AMWill Dems in Florida even get over their obsession with dangling chads?

Like minds? You don't say!
Posted by: the bear at March 15, 2009 6:05 AMI've heard there's a brilliantly decorated Dodge truck tooling around Delisle with rude slogans about Tommy Douglas. :)
Posted by: hudson duster at March 15, 2009 7:06 AMto quote nelson muntz.... ha ha.
Posted by: old white guy at March 15, 2009 7:31 AMI see those professional journalists are at it again. Why would Chrysler want to repossess a Saturn?
Posted by: minuteman at March 15, 2009 7:53 AMSorry to intrude, but you've been fickied.

Feel free to counterficki. Wit would be nice.
Posted by: balbulican at March 15, 2009 8:11 AM"Repossessed ?"
Portends of things to come with Obama running the nation.
Posted by: Fred at March 15, 2009 9:24 AMRepo!! Those evil capitalist blood sucking bankster overlords...come and witness the economic violence inherent in the capitalist system!!!
....in Obamaland everyone with the "correct" political meme can live for free just by wandering into the Hopey-Changey™ money tree orchard, and picking a few bills off the money trees when needed. Live the dream!
The car is no loss, or the house for that matter... I'm sure Ms. hyphenated hopester can fly her magic unicorn (comes with every Dem membership) to the bankruptcy lawyer then the pogy office then select a new subsidized public housing crib...start living the new Obamaland debt-free "New capitalism" lifestyle....just guide your unicorn to the end of the 24/7 rainbow to the hopey-changey™ office and you can shed the rotten trappings of degenerate capitalism for good.
Posted by: WL Mackenzie Redux at March 15, 2009 9:38 AMWhy would Chrysler want to repossess a Saturn?
One should always think before typing. Not everyone buys new. Why someone would buy through a car finance company at a higher rate than the bank? Credit worthiness, or lack thereof.
Gee, I wonder if Americans can force the repo company to reposses Obamarama along with the car?
Posted by: a different bob at March 15, 2009 9:54 AMI'm pretty sure they'll stick her with a bill for removing that crap too.
Posted by: Fred at March 15, 2009 10:07 AMGM created Saturn for the North American market.
Germany makes these cars but GM owns OPEL.
The Ion is not an Opel knock- off if I recall. Some other Saturn models are.
What's most galling is that she doesn't seem too worried that she is a financial scofflaw. Being an untrustworthy person financially doesn't seemto be an unethical thing in her opinion.
Posted by: Gord Tulk at March 15, 2009 10:37 AMC'mon don't you know some guardian angel will buy the car for her? From the woman with 14 kids no job and a new house? The old lady that had her mortgage paid? Get in the news and people will feel sorry for your being on the outs and help you out. I think in this case it is self induced.
Posted by: Speedy at March 15, 2009 10:40 AMEven a SHAM-WOW couldn't clean up that crap.
But, if she calls in the next 5 minutes, because we can't do this all day,...
Posted by: Yoop at March 15, 2009 10:43 AMBut I thought that by voting for Obongo, people like this woman,Jennifer two-names,wouldn't have to worry about putting gas in her car or making her payments?
Posted by: Mr.g at March 15, 2009 10:45 AMThat car reminds me of some of the office doors I see at university when walking through the social studies/women's studies/etc. departments.
Seriously, it really does.
Posted by: TJ at March 15, 2009 11:04 AMThe brand of the car is insignificant, the creditor is insignificant. What is significant is the blind faith in her president and that horrible paint job that she's trying to pass off as "art".
IDD, the Ion is built at the CAMI plant in California.

Oh, yes , McBear, people do buy used, and they also by NEW, from other that a "factory" franchise:-)))))
sooooooo, she may have bought a new Ion from a chrysler dealer
YOOP
****Even a SHAM-WOW couldn't clean up that crap.****
no, but a can of gas and a BBQ lighter would work wonders:-)))))
Mr. G: "wouldn't have to worry about putting gas in her car or making her payments?"
She didn't worry about her payments - that's why the car's being repossessed. :) There's a lesson in there somewhere.
Posted by: Kathryn at March 15, 2009 12:07 PMShe said Obama, in response to her dilemma, would say "I'm too busy. Let me solve the world's problems".
Well, I'm sure if she prayed just a tiny bit more to her "god", her wishes just may come true! I mean, if he can solve the world's problems, he can solve hers!
Posted by: Soccermom at March 15, 2009 12:12 PMStone-Anderson missed her car payments in December, January and February and has started receiving calls from Chrysler. She has ignored them.
She's also a liar, from a linked December article on her....She hopes to get some work soon so she can hold onto the car; she said she took a loan against a 1977 life insurance policy to make her latest (and possibly last) car payment.
Another feckless irresponsible Obama voter. They guy is a magnet for these morons. She expresses hope to sell the car, satisfy Chrysler, and then get a new one. Duh. Does this incredibly stupid woman ever read a newspaper, ever heard the words "credit crunch"? There are no lenders out there for her anymore.
Posted by: penny at March 15, 2009 12:17 PM"We're like minds"
she says of herself and Obama.
Priceless.
Posted by: biff at March 15, 2009 12:33 PMTJ: pictures we want pictures.
Posted by: Gord Tulk at March 15, 2009 12:49 PMthe bear; I was not aware of the model make/name of Ion, car makes and models are really not my forte, just know that OPEL which this model seems to be based on, does come from Germany that's all I was saying.
AND it's actually LDD, (ldd) but the double capital D's make my nic look fat. ;~D
Aside from all that, to me the car now looks like it belongs to one of those very colourfully decorated Indian caravans that you see in India.
Put it on EBAY!
For SURE, some nut will pay big for this souvenir. Money problem solved!
Posted by: eastern paul at March 15, 2009 2:39 PMFour months of planning & two months of work, for that!? Kate would probably be in financial trouble as well, if that was the greatest effiency she could muster...
Posted by: KVB at March 15, 2009 3:47 PMPresidents are known by the type of people they attract.
In more ways than one.
I wonder if that woman who was so excited that Obama got elected because she would no long have to make her mortgage payment is still in her home.
Just maybe this gal with the car thought the same thing. Thank god almighty Barry is here to save us! Now for sure I won't have to make car payments!
Posted by: a different bob at March 15, 2009 4:38 PMHope and change? Gettin' free stuff? Aren't these just another form of the American dream. Remember?
On a summer day in the month of May
A burly bum came hiking
Down a shady lane through the sugar cane
He was looking for his liking
As he roamed along he sang a song
Of the land of milk and honey
Where a bum can stay for many a day
And he won't need any money
Chorus:
Oh the buzzin' of the bees in the cigarette trees
Near the soda water fountain
At the lemonade springs where the bluebird sings
On the big rock candy mountain
2.
There's a lake of gin we can both jump in
And the handouts grow on bushes
In the new-mown hay we can sleep all day
And the bars all have free lunches
Where the mail train stops and there ain't no cops
And the folks are tender-hearted
Where you never change your socks and you never throw rocks
And your hair is never parted
etc.
Yep. "Hope and change" ultimately don't pay the bills.
