Those Wacky Islamists

It's always "fly, fly, fly" - never "land, land, land".

Well we should just give them more time. After all it is a big leap of both faith and technology to leap from carpets to 21st century aircraft in such a short time span.

Couple more centuries and a Reformation might do it.

Perhaps if the najis kaffirs would send tribute, things such as this might be different Inshalla.

AirCanada never sacrifices camels on airline ramps in rites of thanksgiving. They don't even serve breakfast anymore. It's like they don't care at all.

Posted by: Black Mamba at March 13, 2009 2:10 PM

ROFLMAO....Black Mamba....you owe me one keyboard,lady!
AirCanada's motto...we are not happy until you are unhappy.

Posted by: Justthinkin at March 13, 2009 2:19 PM

and now it's camel sacrifices....presumably an offering to Allah...

just when i thought i'd heard it all.....up pops another mind boggling example of their credulous barbarity....

it's going to be hard slogging for decades while these demented ideologues have the bit in their teeth...

i do believe an example...a domestic example of OUR particularly vicious anglo saxon tendencies will be necessary to show these murderous scoundrels it will go better for them to play nice...

and since it all started on enoch powell's watch i reckon the mob of yobs and boyos running amok burning and looting will occur in merry old.

I'd still like to know how in hell Hani Hanjour managed to execute a radical 270 degree descending turn, level out just above ground level WITHOUT pancaking into the ground, and hit the one spot on the Pentagon that was relatively unpopulated and undergoing renovations? If it were me (which it wouldn't be because I wouldn't do something so dumbshit as crash a plane into a building) I would have simply opted for the lawn dart into the middle! So what was it...cooincidence? Bullshit luck? Or was there something else?

(BTW I have no truck with the plaintive bleatings of the idiots at Loose Change, though I continue to have reservations about the veracity of some elements of the official report)

When asked by friends travelling in the "lesser developed" nations, I always insist they do not take local or regional airlines. Just not worth it. The Turkish airline thing might be religious in nature, but the standards across Asia, Africa and South America? Yikes.

Posted by: Yukon Gold at March 13, 2009 3:12 PM

The connections between AirCanada and these dingbats is not purely theoretical. Since April of 2008 Turkey Air, sorry Turkish Airlines, has been a full member of the Star Alliance group of codesharing airlines. That group includes AirCanada, so the next flight you book overseas on AirCanada could very well be operated by Turkish Airlines. The good news is that the benefits of any camel sacrifices post April 2008 may extend to all of the Star Alliance member airlines.

The funny thing is that the second article on google is one pointing out that the rumor regarding Zacarias Moussaoui wanting to only learn how to fly the plane, not take off or land, is actually false.

Dear Mr/ms Justthinkin - I regret to inform you that your replacement keyboard was accidently flown to Burkina Faso, where it was mistaken for a prohibited agricultural import/condom full of heroin and detonated in a controlled environment/stolen by airport personnel. You will shortly be recieving the bill for said expenditure.
Thankyou for choosing to soar with us!
Sincerely,
Mambas on a Plane Airlines

Didn't the Ugandan airport workers slaughter some prize breeding bulls sent by Canada, on the Tarmac?

Whoo-hoo! shishkebabs instead of that chewy fish/chicken..!

Here is a scary thought, poorly maintained Turkish aircraft flown by any one of the scores of young Indian pilots inundating North American flying schools..all legends in their own minds..

Posted by: Kursk at March 13, 2009 4:07 PM

wow ... kate ... now you're comparing airline pilots to terrorist hijackers? What exactly do these people have in common, other than (possibly) their religion?

I'm speechless. I never expected this kind of blind bigotry from you. Maybe you meant it as a joke, but it just comes across as ignorant.

Posted by: Alex at March 13, 2009 4:58 PM

"I'd still like to know how in hell Hani Hanjour managed to execute a radical 270 degree descending turn"

Radical? During the entire maneuver the aircraft experienced about half a G of lateral acceleration. I've made more radical turns in my car.

"level out just above ground level"

That one's easy: he didn't. Unless you define 2,000 feet as "just about ground level".

"and hit the one spot on the Pentagon that was relatively unpopulated"

125 people died in the pentagon, not including the people on the aircraft. Considering the small area affected, I think that the "relatively unpopulated" claim is unadulterated bullshit.

"and undergoing renovations?"

The odds of that are 1/5, or 20%. Better than rolling dice.

"BTW I have no truck with the plaintive bleatings of the idiots at Loose Change"

Sure you don't. That's why your entire diatribe (oh, I'm sorry, I mean "question", of course) is plucked right out of their film.

Please. At least have the decency to admit that you're a Loose Change Lunatic. Being crazy doesn't mean you have to be a liar, too. Although, judging by the CT crowd, they do seem to go hand-in-hand ...

"though I continue to have reservations about the veracity of some elements of the official report"

Judging by all the mistakes you've managed to make in a single sentence, I doubt that you ever ever READ the "official report". If you really want to assuage your "reservations", try reading credible reports instead of getting "information" from conspiracy sites.

Posted by: Alex at March 13, 2009 5:24 PM

Well, Alex, if you'd actually read the linked story, it looks like there's some pretty persuasive evidence that the diminished standards for aircraft maintenance and crew training that plague Turkish Air are a direct result of Turkey's Islamist AKP government meddling in the internal operations of the airline.

I also seem to remember a nasty incident on an EgyptAir flight a few years ago, when a co-pilot shouted "Allahu Akbar", shoved the control column into the instrument panel and dove the aircraft straight into the Atlantic, killing all on board. Had to be Bush's fault, I guess.

I live in a flight path.

*shiver*

I'd rather not know what is coming thankyouverymuch!

BlackMamba: I agree with Justthinkin, one of the funniest postings I have read in a long while!!

And, as Les Nesmond proved once and for all on WKRP, turkeys cannot fly.

well at least you proved you didn't understand what Alex posted about

I hope that that post isn't an example of your comprehensive skills!!!!!

Edward? Alex just slapped you around there a bit and I suggest you take the rest of the night off and lick your wounds. Remember where you're posting now, people bite back here.

Hmm...Sacrificing camels on airline ramps in Turkey?
I guess when unrestricted immigration here in Canada allows a majority, they'll probably want to sacrifice baby seals instead.

Posted by: simon at March 14, 2009 2:04 AM

Gym, I guess I should have made clear that I was responding to Alex's post at 4:58 where he apparently accused our hostess of blind bigotry for conflating Muslim airline pilots with Muslim terrorists.

If that was sarcasm on Alex's part, I'll have to admit it went right by me.

I will say that I agree 100% with Alex in his subsequent post, wherein he demolishes Ed's troofer fantasies.
