Ahhhh crap.

I was just about to have lunch but the mere thought of Cruton and his era of corruption has just put me off wanting to eat anything.

Oh well, there is always a beer or two in the fridge to help dull the painful memories.

I think it is ime for a follow up report.

Who went to jail, who paid back money, who is STILL under investigation.

My suspicion is that the only price that hgas been paid is political

Pretty sad when 100,000,000 is considered a small amount of money .

Posted by: Bill D. Cat at February 10, 2009 3:30 PM

hehe...so funny! Cons are so smert! Boy, sure is different here since harpo shot himself in the foot and the country seems to be waking up to the hidden right wing agenda. Too bad, so sad for you all! hehe.

Remember the Libranos poster? Wish I could see it again.

The crooked malfeasant bastards should be in prison, instead they line up for "The Order of Canada"

Posted by: Joe Molnar at February 10, 2009 4:28 PM

And since then the Liberal Party has been broke - must be a coincidence.

sweatervestknob:

Hey I kind of like "Harpo"

http://www.marx-brothers.org/biography/harpo.htm

Originally Adolf Marx, but it sounded too German so changed it to Harpo.

But I do agree Parliament does occasionally look like the Marx Brothers.

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.
Groucho Marx

I was the same kind of father as I was a harpist - I played by ear.
Harpo Marx

Minister: "We need to take up the tax"
Groucho: "I'd like to take up the carpet."
Minister: "I still insist we take up the tax."
Groucho: "He's right - you've gotta take up the tacks before you can take up the carpet."

Groucho in Duck Soup (movie)

Treasury Secretary: "Sir, you try my patience!"
Firefly: "Don't mind if I do. You must try mine sometime."

Groucho in Duck Soup (movie)

MAN: What's the idea putting your hand in my pocket
CHICO: Just a little mistake. I had a suit once just looked like that,
and for a moment I thought those were my pants.
MAN: How could they be your pants when I've got them on?
CHICO: Well, this suit had two pair of pants.

Chico Marx in Monkey Business (movie)

I still have my Librano poster...bring it out when the lefty family comes around.

Time softens all ills.Greg Weston thinks the CPC budget is just like Adscam.

a lieberal must have written the wikipedia article. a 100million is small, puleeze.

It was later proven that a small part of the money, nearly $100,000,000 was indirectly funneled from Groupaction and Jean Brault to the Parti Québécois in illegal donations. This is ironic because money destined to promote Federalism was donated to a separatist party, and because the separatist movement was using this scandal as an example of federal corruption. As soon as the Parti Québécois received the information they immediately refunded the money

The BQ refunded the money, the lieberals still have an outstanding balance. the dippers still have their hand out for their fair share.

Who the hell is Greg Weston aside from a disgruntled journo, holding a grudge because he wasn't invited to a party at 24 Sussex a couple of years past?

A very fitting logo for the Chretien reign of scams transforming taxpayers money into filthy lucre to buy Quebec votes.

The guy who did da boss's bidding, Gagliano, got a chunk of our money simply by applying for a government farm loan to start a vinyard. Watch for some Gags Vino coming soon.

Sweatervestknob:

to the contrary it is the liberals that have the now not-so-secret agenda of forming a coalition with socialists and separatists. And under Iggy they cannot be trusted to use that option if it suits them.

Posted by: Gord Tulk at February 10, 2009 6:03 PM

How is it that no liberals went to jail.?
Are the RCMP that corrupt ?

I lost all respect for government now that this seems to have played out with the liberal scumbag thieves keeping my stolen taxes.
Wouldn't some people learn from this and say "F" paying taxes., if corruption works, well I'm a fast learner.

If the elites can loot the treasury without any penalty at all, why pay into it?

Oh Kate, you went and done it again.

I was just recovering from the Crooked Liberal scary movie, Adscam, and now the nightmares have all come flooding back.

Even scarier is the fact that Elections Canada did not suffer any repercussions for not penalizing the Crooked Liberal Party for gross violations of the elections Act.
Bizarre Ottawa strikes again.

BTW, who's dumb idea was it that we send Elections Canada to other countries to show them how to run elections?

Posted by: rockyt at February 10, 2009 7:13 PM

Oh, come on now, don't you remember that they told us that that was all the work of a few rogue civil servants? (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).
