Many women — not too surprisingly — were dreaming about sex with the president. In these dreams ....
"Not too surprisingly".
I guess the Dumbo look is in.
Posted by: Western Canadian at February 8, 2009 2:15 PMI only got about a third of the way through the article - it was too much like I suspect a Harlequin Romance to be... He's a politician for Pete's sake! Reality is going to be terribly hard on some of these women.

Posted by: peter o'keefe at February 8, 2009 2:24 PMAlright everyone, all together, can you say: "MOOON-BATT".
I am reminded of all the females who swooned over Elvis; but they were teenagers; twelve and thirteen year old's. The halls of the elite seem to be filled with those who never grew intelligently beyond their early teen years. And that goes for a President.
Thanks for posting this before i ate dinner.
I could have had an accident.
As Aviator points out a third of the way was enough even on an empty stomach.
But what can you expect from the NYT.
Trudeau mania all over again. Only question, which one did or will do the most damage?
Posted by: capt_bob at February 8, 2009 2:34 PMNot surprising that Bush Derangement Syndrome has morphed into Obama Derangement Syndrome.
Nature abhors a vacuum and the leftist mind neatly illustrates this fact. Without George, they need a new object on which to focus. And their complete investiture in 'The One' (TM Reg.) manifests itself in the moist thighs of leftist women and the more modest tingle up the leg, of the plethora of the mostly metrosexual males who inhabit that part of the spectrum.
Interestingly, the focus of the 'males' - and I use the term loosely - is not on Michelle, their envy of her personal access to 'The One'.

Posted by: kakola at February 8, 2009 2:56 PMWhat a load of codswallop!
For what it's worth, I'll bet the Buhes have plenty of very good sex (married, Evangelical ladies, apparently do!), and the Obamas quite turn me OFF. They seem to be a very self-referential, immature couple.
Personally, I wish them and their girls all the best. That's it.

Posted by: DJ at February 8, 2009 3:08 PMI dream about having sex with Hillary Clinton myself. Wake up screaming and in a cold sweat. Seriously there are a lot of people in this country (The US) who need to grow up. And the growup call is coming soon.

Posted by: Revnant Dream at February 8, 2009 3:41 PMHoly 'gag me with a spoon' Batman! Yeah, it's Trudemania-ish. But this is much more serious. Trudeau could have propagated a local depression in Canada (he gave it his best shot) and the rest of the world wouldn't really have noticed or suffered. If this does indeed happen in the US, there is going to be much grief on a global scale for a long, long time.
Oh, and i wouldn't really want to have sex with Michelle Obama - she looks like she bites.
Posted by: Brian M. at February 8, 2009 3:44 PMIf I had to read drivel like that article every day, I'd be off to the nearest monastery, to spend my life in quiet contemplation of why I was so stupid as to read that drivel on a daily basis.

Thanks, lookout, for the dose of reality.
As a card carrying female of the heterosexual persuasion I'm here to bear witness that not EVERY woman fantasizes about sex with him or even a light hearted smooch.
The prospect of such causes neither thrill nor tingle, nor shiver nor sigh.
A touch of nausea, perhaps.
And if I was a lesbian/bi I wouldn't want to snoggle (or fantasize about it) with him either ... or Mo.
It isn't even a case of politics and character judgement -- he...is...not...attractive (ditto wifey).

What is it about women and male Democrat politicians?
Posted by: Garth Wood at February 8, 2009 4:47 PMWatch closely, over the next few months, to the "tells" that you can already see in Obama's TV ops. It's in his eyes, the clenched jaw, the pursed lips and clenched fist.
He already senses that he is in way over his head, but not even close realizing how far. He already senses that he has lost control of the position, but he isn't sure who he can blame that will make sense. He has already abdicated the construction of his stimulus plan to others and that backfired viciously. While he carries out his promises to undo the WOT, to mollify the far left, the daily security briefings are giving him nightmares because he knows a successful domestic terrorist strike will be his sole ownership.
I say within a relatively shot time those women who dream of having sex with him will, instead, have to figure out how to relieve his stressed out impotence. He is already showing the signs of an being an impotent POTUS, and he will soon be an impotent male. Wonder what that will do to the arrogance factor.
Posted by: Yoop at February 8, 2009 4:56 PMI dreamed that I read a column about President Obama in the New York Times that took the country and its problems seriously. This column wasn’t it.

"They serve as a distraction to what he is actually saying and could possibly serve as love handles; however, the latter thought is not a pleasant one."
They do look a bit like STOL wings. If he doesn't learn how to fold them in the first time he walks over to board Marine One in a hurry he is going to get his ass blown into the Potomac.
What this shows is how many women will never be happy with their man unless he's POTUS.
If these women would sit down and write down a dozen reasons why their own husbands deserve their love and respect, their own reality would be better than the day-dream.
Heck, compared to Dumbo the flying ego, I'd think 2 or 3 reasons would be enough.
Posted by: Rick in BC at February 8, 2009 5:27 PMThe Big Zero has an amazing resemblance to Alfred E. Neuman, and thus far has illustrated the same political acumen.
Posted by: Alienated at February 8, 2009 5:49 PMObama's been compared to a rock star.
Seems he's actually more like a porn star, the way women go on about him. Obviously his brains aren't located inside his cranium!
That said, I think Ron Jeremy would make a better President. He's actually university-educated and seems quite intelligent for someone who's been making his living whipping 'er out for thousands of women... at least he's accomplished something!
Gene Simmons from KISS would also make a better President. He actually understands why our militaries fight and has immense respect for the military. Unlike Obama. Plus, Gene Simmons was born in Israel. His mother and uncle are Holocaust survivors. So he understands the reality of the world, how horrible it can be, unlike Obama. And, like Obama, so what if he's not proven to be a natural-born American? If Obama doesn't have to qualify Constitutionally, then no one does. TErrible precedent, but c'est la vie as long as the Left is in control of the world. Rather see someone like Gene Simmons in power than the mysterious Barry Hussein-O.
Or how about Traci Lords? MMMMMMM.... she was awesome in First Wave!
What would it matter? Obama's already put America into the toilet, more or less...
Meh, eh!
Posted by: The Canadian Sentinel at February 8, 2009 5:50 PMOh, btw, Gene Simmons is a social conservative, according to Wiki... supported Dubya and the Iraq War, supports Israel... ah, just read if for yourself...

Posted by: The Canadian Sentinel at February 8, 2009 5:57 PMAfter reading the first paragraph, it is much easier to grasp how the AGW/KYOTO got such credibility.
The judgement of groupies is obviously more subjective than objective.....
Actually, I am still amazed at the popularity of Jenifer Anniston....doesn't do a thing for me.....
and then there was Bill and Monica....one groupie and somebody hard-up????
If the first weeks of "the One's" are any sign, he will end up s*****ing us all...
And to think this very same woman who wrote that piece of crap has no doubt positioned herself as a Feminist..... one of the sisterhood.
It's all about the deranged world view of lefticles that continues to be propagated essentially unchallenged.

What an idiot.
I wonder if all of those wealthy Bernie Madoff suckers, the concentration of whom is NYC, now that they are broke could possibly connect that all that is now revealed as stupid and naive in their lives might reflect on their liberal politics. Probably not. But, here is a piece of advice from a not so trendy, liberal or rich person, the garbage in the NYT's won't get your money back or get you through the Obama administration.
Posted by: penny at February 8, 2009 10:49 PMAlienated,
my grandson actually thought it was a cartoon caricature of Obama after I had taken a picture of Mad's poster boy and coloured it with a marker pen.
Reminds me of the women that wanted to marry Scott Peterson, or the one that moved in with and was going to marry Drew Peterson. There are some flakes out there. All you require is a little fame and you can have them! Wonder if anyone has offered to put on a blue dress for the Messiah yet.
I saw on the news tonight Obama and his family getting off Marine one. All I could think was that he totally didn't belong there, and that we're in the midst of four years without a president here in the United States.

(Actually, I did have a dream about Stephen Harper the other night: really! We were sitting, very chastely, at opposite ends of a bench and he seemed quite reluctant to speak to me: I think I wanted to talk about the CHRC!)
Posted by: lookout at February 9, 2009 7:48 AMA truly disturbing story. This twit is simply putting into words what other female commentators imply. There are plenty of them in the Canadian MSM. As mentioned before, only Democrat or Liberal politicos can be sexy. Check out Sandy's blog, Crux-of-the-matter for the new sexy Liberal, Iggy; the drum rolls have already begun in the media. I depair that democracy has sunk to this level. How would statesmen like Churchhill, Lincoln or John A Macdonald fare in such an environment?
Posted by: Martin at February 9, 2009 11:03 AMI'm not sure if I should just laugh at these twits who are into the big ear, no brains thing or just weep because my gender obviously is much stupider than I originally feared (and my girlfriends and I have come to the conclusion that women are just as stupid as men, no matter what they may claim). If this chickie is a feminist then I need to retake my Women's Studies class, I could get a few more laughs out of it a second time around! They probably read some Presidential Harlequin now instead of the vag. monologues.
Course, maybe all these sex dreams are just coming from the knowledge that Obama is about to screw us all.
Irene Swain's "Obama is about to screw us all" is just about right. 'Fun too. Thanks!
