"Golden Glock" To Be Presented During Inauguration Ceremony

The Outdoor Wire, the nation’s largest daily electronic news service for the outdoor industry, has announced their “Gun Salesman of the Year”.

(Sorry - original link is now dead, so I've relinked to the Hot Air . Hoax?)

Update - Here it is at Outdoor Wire (scroll to page bottom).

Kate, Stricker's link above catches it.

Edward- Sig doesn't build a 10mm auto. Had to settle for a Glock 20. It's actually better than I expected. It sure is ugly, though.

Building one from gold would defeat the purpose of light weight, wouldn't it? Especially when it's loaded with silver bullets.

Desert Eagle is for those who have to make up for their short comings somehow. More of a bling thing.

i'm more of a classic kind of guy, 1911 Browning or even a Colt SAA.44-40. Yeah, there's some cowboy in these old bones.

Texas Canuck- Very good taste. At this very moment I'm customizing a Colt 1911 government 10mm auto. The undisputed lightheavyweight champion.

Pre-WW2, Belgian made, FN Browning Hi-Power;

Tokarev TT-33 in 7.62x25, an oldie but one hell of a pistol. Throw in an SVT-40 and I'm set. And for anyone looking to buy a pistol before the Liberals ban them go to www.canadaammo.com and buy their Norinco M213 (yes, it's Chinese), brand new in box for $99. We get the deal because the US banned the import of Norinco guns and the Chinese were left with a huge surplus intended for that market. Thank you United States!

Thank you Rat.

Same sharp rise in handgun sales here when P Martin promised to ban them.

Ha! That's another one of those 'unintended consequences'.
And the Obaminator was hoping everyone would change and lay down their arms.
Bet he didn't count on them laying them down in their own gun cabinet.

I give the gun control people credit for one thing. The number of accidental discharge injuries has dropped to nil, since the new training requirements came into effect.

My reasoning is, the more guns in circulation, the harder it will be to collect them all. This is especially true if enough "regular" folks get into shooting sports and hunting. They can't accuse all of us of being "gun nuts".

I have the same view when it comes to classic cars. If enough people license antique cars, the harder it is to legislate them off the road. God bless the Barrett-Jackson crowd. They're old, rich, white, and politically powerful. They almost guarantee I'll be able to drive my low-budget muscle car a few more years.
