Feministing: "What if we say no to reproduction?"

What if we say you don't see any of us stopping you?

Kate: Over at the Weblog Awards, I just put you up by 1 - 11,991 to 11,990. That's the second time I've pushed you into the lead. I only have 1 more vote left, so someone else is going to have to help with the heavy lifting. ;) Come on you SDA'ers!!!

Wow. I am speechless. Can they even call themselves human beings anymore? It's a strange, strange world we live in. Absolutely ridiculous drivel.

Posted by: Soccermom at January 12, 2009 8:33 PM

Yeah, well, J2P2 was right when he coined this feminazi nonsense as "the culture of death."

He kindly refrained from calling it "the culture of stupid, narcissistic, drivel."

Posted by: batb at January 12, 2009 8:49 PM

Soccermom: Drivel it is! I didn't read your comment until I'd posted mine.

'Totally agree with you ... strange, strange, sad world we live in ...

"Another feeling came from growing up near the poor: married people become much less charitable when they had their children to 'take care of'..."

Note the sarc quotes around 'take care of,' suggesting perhaps that taking care of one's kids is just a transparent, sorry excuse for, say, not contributing to a neighbourhood basketball court-building outreach program.

"...moorings to the structure of gender and sexual oppression..."

Holy smokes, these are angry "ladies".

Posted by: glasnost at January 12, 2009 9:09 PM

For a movement that would not exist sans government they sure do sound independent. Raise a buck or two..then change the world. Ah womyn.

Posted by: Speedy at January 12, 2009 9:17 PM

She's in no danger of motherhood from me, I wouldn't touch her with a barge pole. Some of the stupid might rub off. Ew. Biggest. Turnoff. Ever.

I left her a little comment about the Shakers. Chastity is one of the main Shaker vows. At their height they numbered 6000 adherents in communes all over the USA.

Today there are four (4) left. We should be so lucky to have Freethinkr follow in their footsteps as regards reproduction. One less poor little "special needs" kid for the short bus.

Can't add anything that wasn't said over at Darlene's place. I like her.

Darn.Hit post to soon.Darlene is sorta like a Yank Kate

There was a car downtown burlington with the bumper sticker "Thank you for not reproducing", I said to the young liberal driving it, "No, thank *you* for not reproducing"

Whoever said evolution is dead is completely wrong. Imagine what the world is going to be like for our grandchildren when the gene pool is freed from this selfish, narrow minded, humanity hating DNA.

Posted by: Tim in Vt at January 12, 2009 9:48 PM

God I hope so. The fewer the number of liberals the better.

Posted by: Phil at January 12, 2009 9:55 PM

I can't help but wonder if writing that piece felt like thinking to that girl.

Posted by: Tim in Vermont at January 12, 2009 9:59 PM

Reading through the comments, freethinkr cautions, "And you also need to remember how the post was written from a guy's perspective: before men act on their 'instinct' to reproduce, they should think about how they won't have to sacrifice as much as the women for it, and understand that their 'want to be part of the continuance of the species' is certainly not in the best interests of the society on the whole."

Somebody has him whipped but good. They've even taken away his ability to think logically.

Posted by: Jan at January 12, 2009 10:11 PM

This is probably not a good long term strategy for the womens movement. Maybe they should take a moment and think this trough.

Posted by: kevin at January 12, 2009 10:22 PM

Nature constantly points out that it is self regulating.
Feminazi's sense of thinking is so convoluted that by natural selection they will be removed from reproductive pool.
Isn’t nature full of wanders?

"Somebody has him whipped but good. They've even taken away his ability to think logically."

No, he's just trying to get laid... and it will work. ;)

And if her mother had said 'no' to reproduction, then, where would this individual be? Is she regretting her mother's decision? Is that the problem?

As for her Marxist (i.e., classless) utopia, it's all nonsense. There is no such thing as, nor should there be, a society without classes. If everyone has the same amount of goods or money, then, the society moves into 'no growth'. You have to have one class with surplus, which is then moved into future-oriented long term structures.

And the family is the basic nurturing and economic unit of our species. Nothing can take its place, for our species requires direct and intimate emotional bonds with the same individuals, in order to best learn and develop.

Check out Concerned Marsupial in the comments. Existence is suffering, and she's not into it. I hope she's really just a 15-year old goth girl, but I wouldn't be too sure. Most "feminists" in the hijaked sense of the word are morbid, traumatized narcissists.

Posted by: Black Mamba at January 12, 2009 10:57 PM

I counted the term "oppression/oppressive/oppressed" repeated on that page 19 times (at last count).

You'd think those ladies were in the Bataan Death March, they way they carry on. Perhaps they need a better hobby. I hear scrapbooking can be a pleasant pastime.

This article is frightening to me for one reason:

when I read it, there was no real suprise at what was being said.

I've heard very similar thoughts espoused by some of my former collegues in education and in social services. The people who transmit learning to the next generations and who make the call if children are to be taken away from their parents, or who counsel others in family (and divorce) matters.

That should really give everyone some pause for thought -- this has been going on for at least the past 20 years that I know of, this way of thinking is institutionalized, and if given the proper conditions affects laws that we all have to live by.

Apart from that, the woman who wrote this and some of the commentors of the original piece are barking mad, self absorbedly, self importantly, and even funnily so.

Posted by: unknown jane at January 12, 2009 11:06 PM

all the angst over ones basic biological duty.

as a member of a DNA group , species whatever, you have one function. to reproduce.

its not creating art, politics or even building houses , its to perpetuate your own species or even more specifically to add your 23 chromosomes to 23 more and find the way on.

Any time I think narcissistic moonbattery can't get any worse, something like this shows up. Yecchh!

Posted by: felis corpulentis at January 12, 2009 11:32 PM

No reproduction. That would change the world for sure.
A society with no children is a decaying, dying thing. Where is the renewal? The incentive to push forward?
I read somewhere the Japanese are developing robot babies to keep seniors company. Replacing the real children the Japanese aren't having. That's a pretty sad statement.
The Russians tried that classless society. Nothing good came of it and that is another society that isn't likely to survive.
Honestly, this is a case of someone spending way too many years in the education system instead of getting a job and doing something useful.

IMO, it's not so much the choices women, couples make - it is the hypocrisy.

United Nations Rio Earth Summit 1992

[ Goal #5
Population Control - is high on the Green agenda, although the issue was low-profiled at the Earth Summit. Strict population control is high on the agenda of UNCED and the Green movement. As the Greens see it, there are too many people on Mother Earth (and the 5.4 billion will double in the next 10 to 15 years); the more people there are, the more pollution there is; the more highly- developed the people are, the more resources they consume. So, one of UNCED and the Greens' chief goals is to restrict population growth by whatever means possible. Biology professor Garrett Harden (an influential Green spokesman) recently wrote:

"lt is a mistake to think that we can control the greed of mankind in the long run by an appeal to conscience. . . . The only way we can cherish and nurture other and more precious freedoms is by relinguishing the freedom to breed, and that very soon." ]

Feminists know they are preaching a Death Culture - well, the ones higher up do, not the useful idiots that make of the masses of deranged feminists.

If you look hard enough, you will see that they know this, and in fact encourage the cultural suicide pill. Kate Millet, Valerie Solanas, Robin Morgan, Gloria Steinam et. al. have been stating for years now that they despise white culture, despise the West, despise Capitalism, marriage and family and intend on destroying it. (Can you spell T-R-E-A-S-O-N?)

You will also find that they full well understand that since they preach death, they have to over-rule, by force, those who preach life (Christians, or those who preach marriage + children).

After all, if feminists were to put that oppressive patriarchal "logic" back into schools, they would soon discover that those "families" who have one child will soon be outnumbered by "traditional families" who have 3 or 4 kids, and so, in 30 or 40 years their entire ideology would be dead.

So, they acknowledge that the only way their ideology can "win the day" is for them to subvert the educational system and indoctrinate OTHER people's children, and therefore interfere with parental values and basic rights.

The ends justifies the means, right? Somewhere between the Donal Duck rantings of Stephane Dion, I heard a quack about "social justice" being very important. Yes, indeed! It is so important that all other justices must be subverted... the ends justifies the means, after all. Where would social justice be without that cornerstone?

Feminists should be put in prison for a host of crimes - and treason is amongst those crimes.

Feminists are scum. Pure genetic refuse. Nature would deal with them accordingly if it weren't for government interference.

Go Woody!

The next thing these wackjobs are going to promote is global gender selection to eventually erradicate males. Then saying "no" to reproduction will not be an issue.

Posted by: a different bob at January 13, 2009 8:24 AM

Bitter, angry, loveless communists. Who wouldn't want to have babies with them?

Posted by: grok at January 13, 2009 10:03 AM

That's Ok...it's not like I wanted to F*** any of them anyway.
The other up-side is their stupid genes will die off then as well!
Yes! Yes! PLEASE don't procreate, you stupid whackjobs! This needs to be nurtured and encouraged further...

Was it written by a man?

"I felt pangs of guilt over how for this 'impulse' of mine, someone else would have to put their body on the line."

Posted by: Occam's Carbuncle at January 13, 2009 12:13 PM

Apparently that piece exemplifies the "feminist logic" that you lack...

Posted by: Matt at January 13, 2009 3:12 PM

Isn't this just Darwinian proof of concept?

Posted by: guy grand at January 13, 2009 3:21 PM

Suppose we just said NO to ever having anything to do with nut bars steeped and marinated in feminist babble ever again....it's called Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW) and our numbers grow daily while the feminists dwindle down.

Posted by: MAUS at January 13, 2009 3:53 PM

What feminists fail to acknowledge is all of them are only a back-hand away from being right where they started. It's self-loathing men who are the real problem. I call them p**sy's!

Posted by: Indiana Homez at January 13, 2009 4:59 PM

Haha, got a warm 'n' fuzzy feeling while chuckling over this one! The vivid picture in my minds eye of this bitter & twisted jackal working herself into lather whilst spewing her venom. Priceless!

Then I was sad... What a shame her parents didn't share her views ;)
