From the comments - "I'm 181 miles from new orleans on a deepwater drilling rig. This snow is part of the reason I can't get back to the beach. Sea states are 15 foot waves with 45 knot winds.
But we got internet so it's all good."

If John "cold cash" Lewis gets his power shut off he can just stick his bundles of cash outside.

Posted by: J at December 11, 2008 12:41 PMRemarkable image in New Orleans of cold snow falling as the warming ocean rises to meet it.
Ain't Global Warming cool!!!
Posted by: Yoop at December 11, 2008 12:56 PMSo where is Fat Albert lately? There must be a new spin he can put on AGW to explain all of these snowstorms in the south. Oh, right, that would be "Climate Change". Somebody should be asking for their Nobel Prize and the award money back.
Here in Sudberia, ON it's either colder than -20C or it's snowing. One or the other.
Posted by: Kevin F. at December 11, 2008 1:15 PMWell Kate, you are now in the company of 650 Scientists at the UN Climate Change conference that also dispute this nonsense:

Global Warming is on a 15yr hiatus. Quit ruining my planet with your gas guzzling American cars!
Oh, and please support a bailout for the American car manufacturers.
Posted by: Indiana Homez at December 11, 2008 1:37 PMIn November/December,1989,I and the better-half got married in Thibadeaux.-30F and 4' of snow when we left Edmonchuck,at 80% humidity and 73F when we landed 6 hours later in NO. Our Xmas present to them? SNOWWWWWW.Christmas Eve.Everybody there loved it,except my best man,who had seen it before up here.(I think he still blames me!!)
Yuppers, bring on that global warm.....errrr..climate change.
I didn't know Al Gore was scheduled to speak in New Orleans.
It's the only explanation for such freakish weather.
CBC fruit-fly guy and his Greenpeace cronies will no doubt scream loudly that this is absolute irrefutable proof of man-made global warming and demand that the coalition take over and force socialist serfdom on us all.
What ever it takes to make everyone poor.
Posted by: Mike T at December 11, 2008 10:47 PMKevin, Fat Al is likely busy shovelling snow off of his 100 ft house boat.
Posted by: Free Thinker at December 12, 2008 12:36 AMYou mean the one with the 500 gallon tanks that are to be filled with bio-diesel, which isn't available at any marina?

When the solar panels are delivered, he will be in compliance with the demands of Gaia.
