"If you decide to ask your viewers to vote for me, I am willing to get t-shirts made promoting small dead animals and wear them all weekend and the event in vegas, which I can record and post online."Posted by Kate at November 20, 2008 3:29 PM
So what did I just vote for? I feel like an Obama supporter.
Posted by: DrD at November 20, 2008 3:41 PMhaha DrD me too, and you stole my idea for the first reply ;)
Posted by: steve at November 20, 2008 3:45 PMDone an 1:45
Go get 'em kid!
You voted to send Rob Clark to Vegas. I need to be in the top 7 to go. I am from central Illinois. Moved to Saskatchwan for a girl and been here 7 years now. Any other questions, give me a shout. americanrob@gmail.com
Posted by: Rob Clark at November 20, 2008 3:46 PMIt seems I was only able to vote once so I don't feel like a true Obama supporter
Posted by: trevor at November 20, 2008 3:50 PMWho is Rob Clark, what does he do on this earth, and why have I never heard of him? Does he have a blog?
Posted by: Zog at November 20, 2008 4:04 PMFirst, do I get my gas and mortgage paid for?
Posted by: Sounder at November 20, 2008 4:10 PM
So Rob, why do you need to go to Las Vegas ? I couldn't understand a word you said in the video.
I would be willing to purchase an SDA T-Shirt just for a lil more info, especially if it had SDA in small letters over the left breast like Polo Shirts, plus the " Not Waiting For the Asteroid " Logo on the back.
That would be a sweet shirt.
,
I don't need to go to Vegas. But, I did put something together that almost is getting me there. With SDA's help, might be able to pull it off. As a fan of SDA, I will show thanks by getting shirts made and support SDA in Vegas and tape the competition as well.
As an American (and Canadian now too), I have appreciated SDA in the days where being a conservative American in Saskatchewan was not all that popular among many of the people I knew.
So, you want to go to Vegas to promote Canadian and American Conservatism ? And, enter a competition that will confirm this ?
Kate is probably gona smack me for being a Devil's Advocate.
,
No, I want to go to Vegas because it is hot and it is Vegas. Kate is helping out. In return, I will be more than happy to get some shirts made and wear them the couple of days I am there.
There is a competition for "fast talk" which I will not win, but will be proudly wearing my SDA shirt.
Ratt, if I continue to get enough votes to win, what do you want from Vegas? I will bring you something back or put $20 on black 17 for you, how does that sound?
Posted by: Rob Clark at November 20, 2008 4:46 PMShades of Lizzie May,will you encourage people to vote for SDA as best blog?
Posted by: wallyj at November 20, 2008 5:00 PMOnly got the one vote in. No button after the refresh.
Posted by: AtlanticJim at November 20, 2008 5:17 PM"I will bring you something back or put $20 on black 17 for you, how does that sound?"
Ooo, black 17 is my favourite inside bet. You have my vote ;)

ROB...slow down...could you just explain s-l-o-w-l-y that you are going to a fast talking contest.
bluetech...sorry, I get excited easily.
Posted by: Rob Clark at November 20, 2008 6:44 PM"Do you need anything else?"
Nope. All I really wanted to know was if/why I should recognize your name. Question answered.
A question (and it's not judgemental) to satisfy idle curiosity springing from your little bio':
Were you a deserter from the U.S. military?
Good luck, Rob. I voted for you.
Posted by: Colin from Mission B.C. at November 20, 2008 6:59 PMZog, no I was not. I went straight from high school to college to teaching for 2 years and then moved up here in July 2001. Moved up here because my wife wanted to come back home.
My dad was a marine and I have a brother that was in the national guard.
My dad died at 55 (last year) and had two marines perform the ceremony. I am not an emotional guy, but when the color guards presented the flag, it was the most amazing experience in my life. That along with my wedding and birth of children.
Posted by: Rob Clark at November 20, 2008 7:02 PMGood luck Rob. And about the shirts, Kate, not T-shirts, golf shirts please.
Posted by: rebarbarian at November 20, 2008 7:20 PMSo Rob, you were at 431 votes a couple of minutes ago when I voted for you. How many do you think you'll need to get to Vegas?
Posted by: Enkidu at November 20, 2008 7:21 PMNot sure how many votes will take it. The top 7 go to Vegas. I currently sit at # 4, but not many votes separate me and number 7.
I enjoy the flatlands, but do whine about the winter. This is home. I love america, but choose to live here.
Posted by: Rob Clark at November 20, 2008 7:27 PMRob Clark was supposed to be working today and as always he did everything but. I sit beside him at work and he was being rather annoying with this whole Vegas trip thing. I am going to tell our boss aka my father aka Rob Clarks father-in-law to tell rob who is being an annoying giddy kid to settle down or he wont be able to go on the trip. Get back to work Rob!! You aren't off work for another hour.
PS. vote
Posted by: Robbie at November 20, 2008 7:47 PMI know what you mean about the winters, I spent a winter in the aptly named Burr, Sask. From New Years Day until near the end of Feb, the highest it got was -35 C. One the best things about Calgary is the knowledge that no matter how cold it may be, soon enough we will that chinook arch on the western horizon.
Posted by: Enkidu at November 20, 2008 7:57 PMA conservative who's father served in the Marines with a BSc who moved to Saskatoon for a hot chick (Saskatoon chicks are hot for the most part). Cinderella story...let's send this kid to Vegas!!
Just voted for ya and good luck.
Posted by: johnboy at November 20, 2008 7:59 PMOops, my bad. Insert 'see' in the appropriate place.
Posted by: Enkidu at November 20, 2008 7:59 PM"Do you need anything else?"
