A Message To All Americans Currently Earning over $250K A Year

Canada: Suddenly the Conservative Option.

Great point, would love to have them and unload some of these pinky eyed entitlement freaks that believe your hard earned money is somehow theirs or others by birthright.

The fence sounds great also except much bigger and stronger, and Sarah Palin with a snipers weapon gives me a (censored) just thinking about it.

Posted by: Knight 99 at November 5, 2008 1:19 AM

They won't go anywhere. The next move is likely to be the division of the United States into Heartland Republic of North America, and Socialist Republic of North America. Perhaps the SRNA will split into its eastern and western parts. The HRNA, if we are lucky, will include most of western Canada. And then we will be free, at last, from the groupthink of liberal elites based far away in the east and echoed by useful idiots on the west coast.

If God would raise the oceans that would help greatly. Otherwise, we're going to have to arrange this division ourselves. We should start very soon, while we still have any freedom of speech. The nation of the heart is more important than the nation drawn on a map.

I have much more in common with Sarah Palin, John McCain, and George W. Bush, than I do with most political figures in Canada, even Harper nowadays, now that he's lost his soul to the Mulroney devils.

Bring on freedom -- let's have our own country and run it the way we want to live, not be slaves to Marxists.

Actually, Obama & Biden and House Democrats have been downing that "$250,000 = rich folks" down to at least $120,000 (and I can't recall where but I've also seen that it might be as low as $40,000 now).

The problem with the income tax comparison is that under Obama the top US marginal tax rate will kick-in at supposedly $250K+ and in Canada it is $65K+. The Trudeau devastation in Canada took a couple of decades. Obama will be lucky to survive one term given the likelihood of a middle Eastern war erupting and his total inexperience at tough decisions.

sarge here tryin to remeber what old bushs big decisions where before becoming el presidente' as most 'mericans know the power in texas government resides in the lt. gov so all bush did was sign death warrents and cut sashes before that might have traded sammy souza or somethin as retarded but never mind that old thomas jefferson he never was so much as dog ketcher before his presidency though he had some fun in france i guess ditto james madison though those boys did write as pretty as old obama talks

ps the only new mideast war likely to start is one old bush starts before his last day in office or lets them israelis start as the case may be

Sarge might want to consider proper use of diction, punctuation, paragraphs, and capitalization. CJ thinks it would be easier to read Sarge's posts that way.

And now comes the fun part when the left elects a messiah; watching the bitterness and disappointment when they realize he has no magic solutions and is just another politician.
I also wonder about the effect on Canadian manufacturing if Harper either scraps cap and trade, or goes for a system less strict than zerobama.Welcome, Yankee factory builder!

Obama got a decisive victory, not a landslide, now the tough part, all those promises to keep and great expectations to fill. This will be a lot tougher than standing on a stump orating. Of course we can assume many of his supporters voted for "change", with no clear idea of what that might entail.

What are the Liberals and Dippers going to do without George Bush to whack over Harper's head at every turn? Their man got in, even Layton was emulating him during our campaign. Funny that, considering Obama has said he will put more troops into Afghanistan, Jacko wants to pull out now.

Interesting times ahead. We have the right man for the times at the helm here in Canada, the US is about to find out what "change" means.

So now comes the gloating of the trolls, eh? Oh joy.

Gloat while you can, geniuses. Pretty soon, gonna be slim pickin's in Ye Olde Blogosphere. Fairness Doctrine, where the word "fairness" means whatever Dear Leader feels like letting you say today.

Hope all you troll boys 'n girls are ready for Canada: tax haven to the stars! Our taxes SUCK. Going to be pretty scary when your suck more, eh?

I'm beginning to think coming home to Kanuckistan wasn't a bad idea after all.

Posted by: The Phantom at November 5, 2008 7:23 AM

America is cheering the Obama victory.

Good on Barak, he broke the color barrier for the good of the country as a whole..

But the cheering may well subside when the socialist agenda of the Obama Democrats starts kicking in.

I will repeat my take on Barak Obama.

He is a closet communist exactly as Canada's Pierre Trudeau was decades earlier.

I hope Sarah Palin is ready to take him on in four years time.

Posted by: Joe Molnar at November 5, 2008 9:14 AM

I don't see the senate super majority or the 25 seat gain in the house that was promised and the turnout looks like its about the same as any other time so what gives. Just pray the One is not as protectionist as he might have portrayed himself in order to get elected. Got to admit the man is a genius to pull the wool over on 62 million people.

Posted by: Momorider at November 5, 2008 9:17 AM

One good thing about the election - Alex Baldwin can stay home.

You have to wonder about Americans. Prior to this election Congress had a favorability rating of less than 20% country wide. This is a Congress controlled by the Democratic Party. It was rated the worst do-nothing Congress in history. So, what do Americans do? They elect more Democrats. Oh Ya, that'll solve the problem. Well, the next two years will be interesting to say the least.

Posted by: a different Bob at November 5, 2008 9:28 AM

Great, so whats the date that affirmative action programs are being scrapped?

Posted by: Stephen at November 5, 2008 9:28 AM

The farther into the election campaign they went the lower the income bracket became for the definition of the "middle class". Obama said anyone earning less than $250K would not get a tax increase then it went to $200K then Gaffy Biden put it at $150K and Bill Richardson said $120K. I'm betting that anyone earning more than $100K will be paying more tax a year from now than they are now. Actually I should revise that to say - anyone earning more than $100K AND STILL EMPLOYED a year from now will be paying more tax.

Posted by: a different Bob at November 5, 2008 9:35 AM

I must confess that I greet the results of yesterday's election with mixed feelings - of joy and jubilation.

It will be a blast watching our neo-Republicans ranting and railing out in right field all by themselves.

AS USUAL, The Christian Right Wing are SORE LOSERS

Posted by: SLevine at November 5, 2008 9:44 AM

To all Lefties who blog here - it will not be long into Obama's administration before Americans will come to the realization that the man is a true Socialist. You might be happy about this, in fact I know you are. Problem is, it means big trouble for America and the rest of the world. Socialistic economic policies will not improve the sad situation that Democrats in Congress have put America and the rest of the world in. In fact those policies will make things worse.

Like the late Ross Thatcher was fond of saying "There is absolutely nothing wrong with Socialism except it just does not work". He was right and we in Saskatchewan finally saw the light.

Posted by: a different Bob at November 5, 2008 9:45 AM

"Got to admit the man is a genius to pull the wool over on 62 million people."

I give the "genius" award to McCain/Palin for giving the O a tight race 'till the end, and not a landslide victory either. Of course I'm using the facts that Obama was endorsed by most all celebrities and elites, had more than 5 to 1 $'s in war chest and a complete wag of the tail 24/7 by the media (We still don't know who the man is and his background) and the equally viral attacks 24/7 on McCain and mostly Palin.

"Pulling the wool" was never made so easy for any politician in an election. EVER!

Kate's "Not waiting for the asteroid" segments will accelerate from now on as the media will be the biggest loosers in the long run. Already this morning CNN had a poll stating that 65% believe that the media influenced the results of this election vs 35% who did not.

Posted by: Right Honorable Terry Tory at November 5, 2008 9:45 AM

Congrats to the Demorats. You wanted an American Trudeau-you got it. It will take years after he gets his butt kicked in the next election to get back on track.
Should 'The One' and Biden screw up as I believe they will, the Dems will be on the outside looking in for a long, long time.
Rant over.

Posted by: Jim in Calgary at November 5, 2008 9:46 AM

PALIN, PALIN, PALIN!!!

PALIN FOR 2012!!!

Ya, right. She'll be all but forgotten (she'll still be the butt of jokes)

To think that Palin will even be considered in four years is hilarious.

But it would be the best thing for the Dems, there is no way that she's getting any votes other that SDA types. Anyone wish to dispute that?

Posted by: slevine at November 5, 2008 9:48 AM

The election is over, the President elect deserves the respect his position would imply. If we start throwing stones and temper tantrums then we are as pathetic as the tards we poke fun at. The people have spoken, we must trust the collective wisdom of the electorate.

Food for thought:

Could it be that GWB was the right President for his time and BO is and will be the right President for this time?

Posted by: Indiana Homez at November 5, 2008 9:48 AM

Hey- Right Honorable Terry Tory

Just what is your definition of landslide???

Are you insane?

Posted by: slevine at November 5, 2008 9:51 AM

I think I know what many Americans voted for last night: they see Obama as someone who can keep the party of the last five years going. Their current economic disaster is a result of consuming instead of saving and producing, and far too many Americans just don't get this fundamental truth. They're hurt and angry that the financial markets have decided to stop the orgy. They see this vacuous windbag as the guy who will re-ignite the housing boom and get all those SUV's parked back in the driveways of the nation, as if that is what is needed to restore economic growth.

They're like that woman at an Obama rally who claimed that The One will see to it that she can afford her mortgage again as well as put gas in her car.

Good luck with that.

Posted by: Dennis at November 5, 2008 9:53 AM

Decisive by electoral college votes....

52% to 47%.......that's not a sign of a 'united' vote. This is still a country divided despite O and O's blatherings.....They do control the congress and the house, so they can pretty much do what they want.

Good thing we're in Canada, let's just hope the Protectionists don't have their way, as past Demo admins have in the past

Posted by: DanBC at November 5, 2008 9:56 AM

Who says money can't buy happiness? It can certainly get you a presidency. Has anyone actually looked at how much money was spent in the last two years in the quest for the "O"val Office? The numbers are mind numbing and way higher than my pay grade.

Posted by: Texas Canuck at November 5, 2008 9:56 AM
He is a closet communist exactly as Canada's Pierre Trudeau was decades earlier.

Ditto, or will he end up being viewed like Carter?

"Pulling the wool" was never made so easy for any politician in an election. EVER!

Possibly but they wanted him to win so shhhhhhhhh.

If it was based on policies, background, etc it would have been a different election it wasn't

Blacks voted for him because he's black but if whites do that they are racist. And whites who feel guilty that there was slavery about 150 yrs ago voted to show their guilt. Some might not have, but theres slavery today.

first thing on the radio well slavery was recent.

There will be no closure so if people thought nov 4 was it, they are wrong. And get ready america for whats happened in Chicago, it's comming to an electoral district near you.

Posted by: dinosaur at November 5, 2008 9:58 AM

Well said, Indiana Homez.

Obama's about to get a lesson in US style economics, and his team will have to work overtime explaining why all the promises are NOT being kept.

Hell, we've seen this BS in every Canadian Provincial election where the NDP formed government, we're used to it.

Whatever, the US will survive, and eventually drag itself out of the recession/depression, as always. The Country is bigger than ANY politician.

Good luck, Barry and Joe. You got your chance, don't f*** it up!

Posted by: dmorris at November 5, 2008 9:58 AM

Exactly Joe, as I have said here many times, he is a black Trudeau. Myself I don't mind the black part at all as I have a fair number of black friends and as I have always maintained colour means nothing. An asshole is an asshole and they come in all colours, this one just happens to be a socialist asshole hence my dislike.

My disdain for this man comes not only from his background, the big Daly Chicago political machine but his mentors in Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers but his personal ethics, a brother living in a slum on nothing and not an ounce of help. That says something about the man, to me he is just a street corner hustler that did one hell of a job.

Time will tell as it took three decades for the Carter legacy of socialism to complete its ruinous financial course in the name of the Community Investment Act. The havoc and carnage of Obama on our open way of life will not take anywhere three decades. What will this asshole bring for our children and grand children?

Posted by: Western Canadian at November 5, 2008 10:01 AM

Like you, Joe Molnar, I did not see this comming...I did not know that the American people were so eager to give away their freedom and independance with both hands. Where do they believe their leader will get the money to 'give' them all the freebees he has promised them; if not FROM them. Mr. Obama does not own a money tree, he does not have a sensible plan to improve production, the people who support his policies are the type of people who are motivated by envy, not ambition. When the rioting begins in the streets they will not have stable person to turn to...I hope that I am TOTALLY wrong about this new President because I care about the next generation and the many good people that live in America.

Like you LizJ, I will not miss the horrible feeling I always had watching the snearing, snarling, mean spirited media attempting to rip down and distroy President Bush, Governor Palin, Senator McCain, the American soldiers, God faring people and God Himself. Will the msm mock the new leader? Will they have the freedom to mock the new leader? Will producers quit? The table is set for 'change'; does anyone in America have any idea of what kind of change they voted for last night? Did they understand anything Obama said?

Posted by: Jema 54 at November 5, 2008 10:08 AM

The American system was not designed to be about one man or personality...yet people of large personality ideas can move that system, Reagan, Roosevelt.

Point being the system was designed to prevent Kings. I think america renewed itself, change does that. The country bought itself some time with new leadership. But the problems havent changed, just maybe people's willingness to solve them....maybe. This isnt a panacea, just a general observation about the US system.

A President Obama will need to govern broadly. So I wouldnt weep for America, change is good in the grand process. Obama will succeed or fail as a President, and whatever he does he will be held accountable for it in 4 years time, in fact in 2 years time when the House is up and another 1/3 of the senators.
I used to tell some of my more radical and derranged acquaintences when they would rail against Bush to just wait becuase he'll be gone eventually. Same here, Obama, for good or ill, will be gone eventually, the question is what can he accomplish in his short time. For all our sakes you should be hoping he doesnt screw up.

For me, if his election does one thing and that is deep six the discussion about victimhood and put the conversation back on personal accountability I will satisfied. Americans as a people have not been "racist" for a long time now...time to move on. Maybe Bill Cosby will get some respect now, since you cant be President by speaking Ebonics and aspiring to be a rapper, or popping a cap when angry or talking sh*t. But you can if you are smart, speak proper English, get into a good school and are able to articulate your thoughts..there is more to it than that but without those things it wont happen.

You cannot expect your family or "community" to succeed when it is rife with substance abuse, violence, divorce, and absentee parents...Obama was lucky that his mothers family had appropriate values to raise the abandoned son properly. Obama reflects the values of that generation, the war generation, more than he does the boomers or the current one. The war generations values are more representative of what values have been in successful societies throughput history.

In that sense Obama is a very conservative figure and symbol. We will see if the message sinks in and if there is a change. We will see.

He may be left wing, he may raise taxes, he will be held accountable for those things. If only those basic changes in the American conversation his election will be worthwhile, because having 10% of your population effectively disengaged, not held back lets be clear that stopped a long time ago, from productive participation just holds back people and country from acheiving its potential.

He may be a failed President, he may be brilliant, he likely will be about average, but I think this one acheivement changes the US national conversation and restores the US as proper example to world about how societies can change non violently, through politics and participation.

Now, what gets done with those renewed assets is a totally different question. On that I have any doubts, but for the moment there is possibility so the doubts can wait till tomorrow.

Posted by: Stephen at November 5, 2008 10:09 AM

Well it looks like the US has elected a combination Trudeau-McGuinty , so it will be interesting ... to say the least ... to watch this play out.

Last night some Democrats were already trying to deflate/moderate some Obama promises and the guy wasn't even elected at that time ... anyone remember McGuinty who since becoming Ontario Premier has broken just about every promise he made during the election?

Given that the US MSM has protected Obama from any number of questions of substance , I would not be at all surprised if the Obama administration is one plagued with screwups and scandal , much like Jimmy Carter. As one whit said recently , the best thing about Jimmy Carter's term in office was 8 years of Ronald Reagan !

There will be many unhappy Obama voters , when reality confronts the vague and lofty ideals which Obama espoused during the campaign.

Obama's total lack of international experience will cause Europe , Russia and Iran to try and test his mettle early on. One can only hope the like Reagan , Obama will surround himself with realists and not left-wing idealists.

One very serious issue is the $650M Obama raised ... where did it all come from , and who is owing ? Already there have been rumours of foreign money somehow being involved ... which is illegal under US law. There are more than a few who will be digging into this issue .

Remember Clinton told America that he would cut their taxes too, but didn't after he and the dem's came out with one spending plan after another. After two years the Rep's took Congress back and forced Clinton to cut spending and THEY lowered taxes which caused our econ to take off.

"Christian right wing sore losers:: Prove it Stevine.
I've been listening to them this morning and they have been gracious in a way that a mean-spirited, anger-filled leftie wouldn't even recognize, so that's possibly your problem.
Christians were praying for the outcome knowing how important the decision was as it affects the killing of the unborn and the future for Israel, plus the issue of same-sex marriage.
And ol' Sarge in his down-home wisdom has already begun: "..[Bush}lets them israelis start[a war]as the case may be."
As Biden says, the test for Obama will come, and people might not agree with how it's handled. We can't guess what he means by that statement, but know it could pertain to an attack on Israel.
With Reed, Pelosi, and a congress with a more unfavourable rating than GW, and now a President who has promised people the moon and stars, the coming year will be an interesting one.
As Barack said last night: God Bless America.

Posted by: gellen at November 5, 2008 10:39 AM

This is, as you would expect, a difficult morning for me. It's what I expected, but it's still difficult. Several conservative sites have recently posted the opinion that it's important to accept Obama as President if he wins. He has now won. I think that it's important that I accept him as my President.

That brings up the question of what accepting him as my President means. Does it mean that I shouldn't move as much of my income into 2008 because my expectation is that income taxes will be considerably higher in 2009? Does it mean that I keep working as hard as I do and making as much money as I've been making in the face of higher income taxes? Does it mean that I keep creating wealth, rather than taking a few years off and living on my investments? Obama and his party have made it quite clear that they regard people like me as flesh-and-blood ATMs. So have California's and Santa Clara County's governments. I would already have addressed the state and county government issue by moving if I hadn't gotten my ankle broken back in August (I'm much better now; thanks to all who have expressed wishes for my recovery), and I expect to be leaving California in 2009. I don't know whether I can bring myself to leave the United States.

I agree with John Derbyshire's comparison of Obama to Jimmy Carter; indeed, I've made the same comparison. I lived through the Carter years soon after I started working for a living. I survived that. I hope that I can survive the Obama years, and I hope that there are only four of them.

Posted by: Silicon Valley Jim at November 5, 2008 10:42 AM

There goes Peter O'Donnell. Divide the country. Over one election. The world has come to an end, no doubt. Obama will change everything. Some folk here insist Obama has a messiah complex. Apparently they believe him - his election is going to destroy everything America stands for.

Aren't we forgetting the entrenched interests on both sides of Washington who usually cancel out any marauding maverick? Theres the much reviled elitist bureaucrats who ensure stability and continuity. Theres the overly well funded lobby groups who co-opt congressmen. Etc. Etc.

To put it mildly, nothings going to change dramatically enough to warrant the destruction of the world's most powerful democracy. In democracy's sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Learn how to lose Petey O. You'll get your chance to fix it, Sarah Palin notwithstanding.

I don't understand the notion of democracy without two distinct sides that are at odds with each other. Thats what democracy is about - personal choice. This strange attitude towards others who disagree with you does not bode well for democracy. Glancing through your tripe, Peter, I can only assume you know nothing about democracy or freedom, or, for that matter, about the United States of America. Another civil war? Really?

George W. Bush - an unmitigated disaster. How can I say that ? McCain isn't the only one who suffered from an anti-Republican backlash - look at Congress and the Senate. Responsibility for that lies with the most prominent Republican in recent times - one George W. Bush.

Sarah Palin - will disappear. Take it in writing. The power behind the Republican party has started viewing her as a burden of late. She will go back to Alaska and fall of the national radar. Why? Because she just isn't good enough.

Karl Rove - congratulations. His negative tactics first destroyed McCain in 2000, and they did it again. The hard right never liked McCain. Karl Rove had everything to do with that. The negative attacks - the smear campaigns - all out of Rovey's book. An American Hero. The real enemy on the inside for the GOP. Who inflicted George Bush on America twice. And who has ensured a pretty sound defeat of the Republican Party.

Sarah Palin 2012? Forget that.

DAN QUAYLE 2012!

Hey, conservatives and libertarians. You are a classy bunch. All over the right-wing blogosphere I am reading the congrats to Pres-elect Obama and a general wishing him well, as well as appreciation that democracy functioned and life will go on. I remember the left's vitriolic spewings and general derangement after Pres. Bush won 2004. I remember the "Diebold" conspiracy theories and sheer hatred that spilled out.

The contrast in behaviour this time around is very striking. You take loss with grace and class.

The sad thing is, the Dems never rallied around Bush as their Pres, even after 911, and obstructed him at every turn. Repubs will put their country first and try to cooperate with Pres. Obama. And he will then get the reputation of being a "uniter" -- all because conservatives are more reasonable and less deranged people.

Sometimes things are so unfair. But the wheel will keep turning . . .

Here's hoping we are all wrong.

The big picture:

This could be a blessing in disguise. With McCain as POTUS there would be no conservative voice in the government. A McCain POTUS would have moved the party left in effect destroying the conservative movement. With Obama as POTUS the GOP can hold true to their ideals and fight Obama and the two houses from the right. It is a long term strategy but many Republicans felt McCain was a terrible choice for the nomination.

Obama might be an American Trudeau, a "closet communist" as some put it here.
But with the US system of government he will not be able to as much harm, as quickly, as Trudeau did. (Fortunately the Reps got more than 40 senators so the filibuster brake is still there.)

The best thing about this historic outcome is that Europe's and Canada's prejudice that the US somehow is more racist or intolerant than Europe/Canada can be put to rest. Indeed, the opposite is true.

Finally, Obama won because of the failings of the Reps themselves, including Bush and his big government approach to solving problems (the 700 billion bailout was the last nail in the coffin for McCain). McCain's choice of Palin was also not the best long term strategy, although it worked for a short while. And without unity a party cannot win.
(Btw, my prediction is that Palin will NOT be a contender in 2012.)

Posted by: Johan i Kanada at November 5, 2008 11:01 AM

To those suggesting that things might not be too bad under Obama, have you considered the Supreme Court? Five of the Justices are 70 or older, two in their 60s and two in their 50s.

Obama has said that he wants to fundamentally change the USA and nothing there is more fundamental than the Constitution. Who gets to say what is or isn't Constitutional? - the Supreme Court. Watch for early retirements before the midterms and the confirmation of new Justices with the proper lefty leanings. Presidents and Congresses come and go, Supreme Court rulings are forever.

I am calling this now- after a month in the White House, the voters will see how inept and corrupt Obama is. Tax Day will kill them. He won't last one hundred days (he'll try to hang on, though). Voters will rue the day they fell for his lies.

McCain got 47%, Harper got 36%. We still have a long way to go.

Ok, now that lefty heart are about to be broken when the big-O turns out to be just another slick lawyer-politician, can we at least put Bush Derangement Syndrome behind us?

Oh, and I would bet that even in the face of the corrupt Chicago machine, 14 states of ACORN voter fraud indictment, an atrociously biased and lying press that you will not hear 4 years of "stolen election" garbage. McCain lost. Just like Kerry and Gore. We'll take it much better than you leftards.

As for Obama, I'd be scared about the protectionism and socialism if I wasn't aware of the nature of politicians. They lie to get elected. Obama will be no scarier than Clinton or Bush Sr or Wilson. The only reason Obama looks different is because he follows Bush jr. In fact, Obama NEEDED Bush. Obama is no one without Bush to contrast himself with.

In short, conservatives need not fear an Obama presidency. Nothing will change. The downside for leftards, is that nothing will change...

I look forward to less hysteria (there is always hysteria when the leftards don't get their way.) I look forward to less excuses for failure by poor blacks (they'll be like poor whites soon - their failures can be their own.)

Congrats on your win Obama. You certainly have your work cut out for you. Usually it's a conservative eating the mess made by leftards. This time, you get to clean up W's mess. I'm sure the media, etc will be kinder to you than they were to the conservatives like Harris, Reagan, Thatcher, Mulroney, etc.

With the chaos of defeat comes golden opportunities for future victory.

Time for conservatives in America to realize the "long march through the institutions" can work for both sides, so can civil disobedience (ok, not hard core, but certainly a protest or two couldn't hurt???). They're now a bit more free than they have been in a very long time, and they now have gotten a good reckoning of their opponent's style -- time and good cover to take advantage of it.

I'm not happy with who won our presidency, but the lack of a filibuster proof congress greatly assuages my fears, so did the closeness of the popular vote (both for presidency and in the state and local elections, the Dems did not get their wishes by a long shot) -- the SCOTUS nominations, the far left policies, the muzzling of dissent, the in the tank media...all of it will not be the steamroller the libs wished for.

And Obama, if he is self interested (which I believe he is) will end up betraying a lot of his most fanatic supporters with a hard turn towards center. Whatever else, he doesn't dare hope to drive sudden and drastic change into American society, and if he doesn't produce the moon and the stars in the next two years (which I would seriously doubt as it is so unrealistic an expectation), then I highly doubt the next two will give him a chance.

"One very serious issue is the $650M Obama raised ... where did it all come from , and who is owing ?"

According to a Fox News report, $88 million of Obam'a $650 billion campaign money - 13.5% - came from MoveOn.org, the George Soros financed website.

They'll be pushing hard to have Barak move(on) to the far left and will be sorely pi*^ed if he does not give them the expected return on their investment.

Oops. That should be Obama's $650 million, not BILLION. But then what's a few zeros.
