If there was one picture to sum up the election..this is it.

Thank God for blogs. I'm hoping we see the evidence of the 'dead media' tomorrow.

foxnews.com has a link to analysis of negative media coverage of each candidate, by several lap dogs.No surprise, fun commentary by O'Reilly.

The wagging tail was an excellent detail...and notice he doesn't even have to give the dog a belly rub.

Best line from SNL with Tina Fey and John McCain:

"I'm a maverick Republican without money!"

Well, I have a theory that even the most craven and partisan media in American history is going to have one hell of a time propping up an Obama administration and the still lowest rated Congress in decades - that part of the equation hasn't changed. As time passes and the stupidity of these socialists with their gloves off starts costing Americans dearly the media will get their final comeuppance. Fools that drank the Obama Koolaid that the MSM passed out won't be back to be fooled again when their wallets are trashed. All of these lame little team Obama college kids trust me by the end of his term will find jobs are hard to come by as large corporations and small businesses will have been taxed into permanent downsizing. We may see many American corporations going offshore.

How this vacuous little fool is going to fund all of his promised blather is beyond reality.

Sadly, after tomorrow the rubber hits the road on the way to our socialist paradise here. Oh, and the irony at this juncture in our history is that the morons in the lefty media have run their corporations to the ground prior to unleashing their socialist Wonder Boy.

Surrender isn't an option. Thanks Kate and to all conservative Canadians whose wisdom and humor in ridiculous political situations I've come to cherish.

For future reference, the next time a part-black man runs for public office:

WRONG: Obamessiah is teh elitist!
CORRECT: Obama is an affirmative action scrub who couldn't cut it in the private sector, same with his wife.

Parroting your opponents narrative is the stupidest thing imaginable - unless you are a neo-con, in which case nobody believes you aren't a closet Obama supporter to begin with. For the rest of you, stop doing it.

Harry Truman's heartland mount the ramparts! The Obama-Nation(tm) starts to break to McCain.

Here we go folks!!

http://hillbuzz.wordpress.com/2008/11/03/battle-stations-by-patricia-melton-and-the-mineral-city-coffee-club/

"Battle Stations! - By Patricia Melton and the Mineral City Coffee Club

My name is Patricia Melton and I am President-for-Life of the Mineral City Coffee Club in Mineral City, Ohio, which has joined forces with the Mineral City Ladies Guild (Republicans that were formerly my mortal enemies (and whom I thought were all a bunch of hateful vampires, but who I now kind of like, even if I still HAVEN’T ever seen any of them actually out in direct sunlight or eating anything with garlic in it)). We’re all camped out today in my kitchen phone banking and prepping our ground game for the next two days. Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and even Earl and the cat-babies have officially teamed up to save America from Obama’s crazy Kool-Aid socialism! My son Robby and all his friends from Team Hillary in Chicago are helping too, having traveled to various cities in Ohio and Pennsylvania to fight hard. My daughter Ann-Louise is in New York doing exactly what she always does: disappointing me greatly by finding new and ever more creative ways to kill a little more of my soul. “I like Obama’s logo,” she says. “It makes me think of Pepsi. I like Pepsi when I’m thirsty and I ask someone to buy me a Pepsi.” And that’s actually the least maddening thing she’s said to me this week. “I’m glad Obama will stop coal mining. I’m tired of you sending me that at Christmas,” is Ann-Louise’s take on yesterday’s news that Obama will dismantle America’s coal industry (which generates 50% of America’s electricity, including the juice that keeps the Empire State building glowing outside Ann-Louise’s Manhattan apartment. “That building is tall and pretty”. Not that she considers where all the pretty lights come from. “Magic”, she’d probably say. No wonder she voted for Obama! And don’t worry, she is indeed written out of my will).

Well, all of us in Mineral City care about the coal industry in this country (and not just because it is fun to fill up Christmas stockings with the stuff for those who deserve it most), so we sent out word to everyone we know about Obama’s plans, and just about everyone in town has come running to help us mobilize Pennsylvania and Ohio for John McCain and Sarah Palin (because Hillary Clinton would fight to protect the jobs of our coal miners, and to safeguard this valuable American industry, and Mineral City is CLINTON COUNTRY and don’t you forget it!). Hillary mugs in hand, we’re standing strong beside our sister coffee club in Coal City, Pennsylvania, and with coffee clubs in Wyoming, West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Texas, Montana, Illinois, Virginia, North Dakota, Colorado, Indiana, New Mexico, Utah, Ohio, Alabama, and Arizona — all the states that produce coal, and employ hundreds of thousands of people in the energy industry. All those faceless people who work hard all day long so all things pretty, bright, and tall can sparkle in Manhattan, dazzling Obamacrats like Ann-Louise who never wonder where all the “pretty” comes from.

My son Robby is good at the Internets, and he looked up all about coal production in this country and gave us all a big report on it via the telephone (because Robby lives in Chicago but is in Pennsylvania right now with a troop of his friends working Philadelphia’s suburbs for John McCain and Sarah Palin). We all sat around the table here in Mineral City and listened to it (Robby should have been a news reporter because everyone was listening so intently and understanding all of it, and unlike the reporters they have on TV, Robby didn’t drink any Kool-Aid, so he told the truth after looking into all the facts, and didn’t get any tingles up his leg or anything, because Robby doesn’t do drugs, unlike the ones they’ve got over at MSNBC). Even people who don’t normally listen to a damn thing or understand much about politics, like my husband Earl, paid attention, and I’ve half a mind to call the Pope because that’s the biggest miracle we’ve seen around here since that dazzler of a rainbow we had when the rain stopped just in time for our last Wooly Bear Festival (I think God loves Wooly Bears as much as all of us in Mineral City do, so getting Earl to pay attention when it’s important is like a big thank you from Upstairs for taking such good care of all the Wooly Bears and giving them a festival. You would have to probably live here in central Ohio to understand this, but just take our word for it that it’s all pretty darn miraculous).

...So, this is why everyone in town is so fired up today — I’ve never seen this many people come out to volunteer, and we’ve got every truck around stacked up with yard signs and a whole army of folks going out to put yard signs all over the place. We’ve got every coach in town with the football and soccer and other teams helping. All the Coffee Club ladies are Generals out there, organizing volunteers, telling them where to go, who to talk to, and how to blanket every place from here to Columbus with support for McCain/Palin. Our team’s putting ANOTHER DEMOCRAT FOR McCAIN signs everywhere…and the Ladies Guild have got their guys out there putting regular McCain/Palin signs out, including some great pink ones Robby sent me down from Chicago because everyone just loves Sarah Palin in Ohio (you betcha!).

I haven’t seen a buzz this strong since the last Wooly Bear Festival we had when Dick Goddard came down to see how much of a fuss Mineral City can put on if we all come together and bust it out. And if you know anything about how excited people here get about Wooly Bears, then you know what sort of a turnout we’re going to give McCain/Palin tomorrow.

That insanity Obama’s launched against the coal industry this weekend really was the last straw for all of us. I’m sure the pundits on TV will make fun of all of us Mineral City country mice getting charged up, because they always claim that Obama’s got the better ground game.

But, I just wanted to let you know that McCain/Palin’s got the Mineral City Coffee Club AND the Mineral City Ladies Guild working hard for them, drafting all of our husbands, our children, our friends, our neighbors, people we don’t even like, and people we barely know, into stopping Obama and his socialism.

And I know for a fact coffee clubs around the country are doing the same thing!

Patricia Melton,

President-for-Life of the Mineral City Coffee Club"

I think to be more accurate the MSM 'dog' should be doing something to Obama's leg instead. (And maybe have a name collar reading, "Keith".)

Posted by: andycanuck at November 3, 2008 6:42 PM

I disagree that the MSM has been a lap-dog for the Ubermessiah. No. They have been front line cheer-leaders.

Behind this empty suit are plutocrats such as the Kerries, Heinzes, Kennedies and, most important of all, Al Ibn Gore and George Soros. The MSM is simply cheerleading (except for Fox, of course - rah! rah!).

I had to shut CNN OFF. The election coverage has become shrill with the Obama win. It is sickening.
Anyways if the riots and looting happen I hope it starts at Opray's mansions.

Very Interesting read, but it's too little too late I'm afraid.

*snip:
" RUSH: Okay, Charlie? Tom? You just heard Obama say after you're wondering where he is on China, he thinks they're better than us! And, by the way, to be grammatically correct it would be "better than we." You don't say "better than us are." You say "better than we are." The trains run on time? All this infrastructure? Look at the infrastructure that cannot handle a .0001 earthquake! Basically a giant taking a couple of steps will crap some buildings over there. But here's Barack Obama singing, once again, the praises of China, a communist country -- and what? Criticizing the United States. It was an interesting point. It was a very interesting point to an interesting question. Tom Brokaw said it was "an interesting question," What is his attitude on China, the people advising him. Here it is. He loves China, he thinks the United States sucks. Barack Obama, last night on PMSNBC. "

"We're still paying for Tudeau taking us down the same leftist path that the Big "O" is headed."

TG,
Those were my thoughts exactly over the weekend.

I wonder if conservative Americans will just roll over, occasionally whine and ultimately just take it up the *ss like we have here in Canada.

IMO, the right needs to learn to march and demonstrate in the streets. It has sure worked for the left's pet projects....gays, environmentalists, feminists, animal rights, abortion, etc, etc, etc, etc. Of course the media would probably not be as helpful to a democratic cause.

Good luck, America.

The MSM would be the deformed traitor though.

Whatever the out come, the press has lost all credibility. They died this year in its present form, some know it, most are still living in dreamland. I wish America the best of out comes in this Election.

Posted by: Revnant Dream at November 3, 2008 9:26 PM

You know what I saw today? CNBC, Maria Bartiromo on The Closing Bell right about 4:45 pm doing an interview with two DemocRat and Repugnican mouth pieces. She began with "...and don't you dare lie to me, because I'll call you on it!" Poor girlie looked like she hadn't slept in a few days.

Seems the viewership of CNBC is getting pretty testy during this market melt down, and has been burning up the phone. She even said so live on the air, "our viewers have spoken" to the guy who came after the mouthpieces. She asked him how full of it the mouthpieces were on the tax increase question too. He said "very."

There is going to be some serious sh1t coming down in TV land over this election cycle for years to come, IMHO. Business channels particularly, I think. People don't like losing money because some talking head lied.

Americans won't take it the way we have ... I could easily foresee the nation splitting into two entities shortly after Obama wins, if that's what happens. I hope it doesn't, but, the pollsters seem pretty convinced he has it in the bag. Which would make it all the more enjoyable if they are out to lunch.

I could certainly foresee the development of a Heartland Republic concept, a new North American nation with a more traditional set of values, from Texas to Alberta and encompassing all of the heartland that wishes to live under a free constitution. Let the neo-Marxists have their coasts, and let God raise the seas to drown them.

Posted by: Peter O'Donnell at November 3, 2008 9:44 PM

I think that the thing I find most 'scary' is that civilian armed force, as powerful as the military, that O talks about. He hasn't been very forthcoming about how it would work and how it would be constituted. My first thoughts about it, when it was mentioned was 'Schutzstaffel' and 'Praetorian Guard'. Am I the only one to wonder about that?

Posted by: itlog95 at November 3, 2008 11:13 PM

When I contemplate an Obama victory (I never believed that would be possible), a poem by Adrienne Rich runs through my mind. Mind you, I am not offering this as a prophcy: simply that the poem wanders through my mind when I think of Obama.

"The Ultimate Act"

What if the world's corruption nears,
The consequence they dare not name?
We shall but realize our fears
And having tasted them go on,
Neither from hope of grace nor fame,
Delivered from remorse and shame,
And do the things left to be done
For no sake other than their own.
The quarry shall be stalked and won,
The bed invaded, and the game
Played till the roof comes tumbling down
And win or lose are all the same.
Action at such a pitch shall flame
Only beneath a final sun.

“Sadly, after tomorrow the rubber hits the road”.

Sums it up, and puts it in a nutshell!..................Oh to turn back the clock and shake a few heads. The death of a nation is such an underrated analogy of the exit of America from the world stage. Even the Empire of Rome had a respectfully acceptable departure from its history. The “American” history will be scrubbed from all Islamic texts and whispered amongst battle weary children not unlike the epic of Sodom and Gomorra.

“God the lover of freedom and democracy” would have damned the liberal left if they had not already damned us all in their insanity.

Instead our children can cope with “God of Islam” and the list of attributes that it brings to rule your loved ones………………..Watch and see, how long will it take Obamba to rule that criticism of Islam is a capital crime? There will be your first “oop’s it’s too late sign”.

Posted by: Yoop at November 4, 2008 7:53 AM

"Just think, this is the LAST day, for the next four years, that we won't have to call him "President Obama"."

As Hitler remained, 'Corporal Hitler.'

So will Obama remain, 'The Junior Senator.'

Obama's possible win will not mean that he's earned the respect of the whole nation, or world. He has not. His past remains the same. His friendships, associations, ideology, voting record, racial manipulation, lies and deceit remain.

The purchased title does not wash him clean. Neither does it earn him respect from those who are familiar with his more than questionable history and utter lack of reason and experience. From those who did not and would not vote for him.

Obama may in fact become the President of the most divided America in history. And the blame will be fully laid at his feet, as it should be. He is not honest about his race, history, or ideology. He is not honest about his racist, terrorist and communist associations. He is a master of lies, who cannot be trusted.

The junior senator may surpass GWB and become the most hated political target America has ever seen. A most unenviable post that only a narcissist would cherish.
