Well, most of us bitter clingy types already own guns and don't need to get involved in the current buying frenzy . I wouldn't mind a few more reloading components , though .

Answer: Yup!...........Depends on the enthusiast. Rare ammo usually hand loaded, picky enthusiasts (competition shooters or diehard hunters) may hand load to taste other than factory specs for optimum rounds that are difficult to mix and match over the counter (powder, primer, premium bullet , hotter loads, ect…).

Thanks , Knight 99.... I guess I fall into the diehard hunter category as well. I've never been able to buy factory ammo that approaches handloads for accuracy .

sarge here not too far off for yer usual crazyness but the reason ammo gets bought up when the russkies bust a move is wolf at tula and golden tiger or brown bear and so on divert production to the military or like when they sold 6month production to chavez then the price and availability goes dowwn state side sarge feels fortunate to have maybe 6k rounds of yugo 7.62x39 may be corrosive but them flat base bullets really tumble on impact so sarge dont care now sarge finds ammo prices goin down faster than a barrel o crude with dag 7.62x51 back to 500 rounds for 200 bucks not quite like 150 bucks for a solid k of belted portugues or them south african battle packs but what kin ya do sarge misses the $150 a k australian in the little glassine bags most of all
