And further not-waiting-for-the-asteroid news today from Editor and Publisher, in an article called "Top 25 Papers in New FAS-FAX"

The New York Times circulation has continued dropping. For the six month period ending in Sept 2008, the Times' circulation dropped another 3.58%. The Philadelphia Inquirer, another in-the-tank-for-leftism-and-Obama, also continues it's steady decline, dropping another 11.06%.

It might also have something to do with the fact that their customers can't afford to buy advertising right now:

And you should see what Gannett is doing to their broadcast properties. Slashed payrolls, graphics consolidated to one station in Denver and automation out the wazoo. Master Control operations are likely to be next with all Traffic and business operations to follow.

This is so unfair. Even in the days of cheap laptops and blogs people must still own birds and wrap fish. Where will it all end?

Most definetly Sean, considering these leftie fish wrappers have been going downhill looonnngg before the current state of affairs.Maybe sane advertisers don't like marxists/socialists?

No one deserves it more than these leftist rags. There hoping Obama will pull a rabbit out of his hat for them. Good luck, once he has power there expendable. As it seems all in time who threaten that power.

It is reported that the Big O has given no press conferences or interviews on his plane for over a month. Also targeting stations with threats.
The media fell for him hook line and sinker and now he is throwing them under the bus. Looks good on them.
Maybe former readers are boycotting those that advertize in said rags. Everyone loses.

Note that none of the "right wing" press is on the list... I wonder what the circ numbers are for the NY Post for the same year to year period.
