And I'm home, a mere 20 hours after I drove out of the show grounds at Sioux Falls. "Hey", I convinced myself, "since I'm getting away late anyway, no point in stopping." 15 hours of driving, 5 hours of intermittent naps and my show season is finished for '08.
Out of our efforts (with a little help from some friends and co-owners!) the following dogs gained titles this year -
Am.Can.Ch.Minuteman Amore
Am.Can.Ch.Minuteman I Love Lucy
Am. Ch. Minuteman Love Letters
Can.Ch.Minuteman Tabasco Cat
Am.Can.Ch.Minuteman Dead Cat Bounce
Am.Ch.Minuteman Special Talent
Can.Ch.Minuteman Talent Scout
And the "hitchhikers":
Am.Can.Ch.Kampfer's Tainted Sunshine
Am.Can.Ch. Schnauzees U Snuz U Luz
Just so you know that when I'm out on the road, there's not much time spent sipping pina coladas at poolside.

Congrants on a successful show season. A tally rye and coke is in order.

Posted by: Texas Canuck at October 27, 2008 1:35 PMA humble suggestion for your next champ: "Minuteman Cat Scratch Fever".
Posted by: Texas Canuck at October 27, 2008 1:43 PMCongratulations, Kate, to you and your pack. A howling sucess!
Posted by: Jema 54 at October 27, 2008 2:22 PMCongratulations, Kate. I like Texas Canuck's suggestion -- and Ted Nugent is even a conservative and believer in the Second Amendment.

Congrats, Kate. And you ought to make the time to sip a pina colada or two, and sniff the roses. Life's too short not to. :-)
Posted by: Dave in Pa. at October 27, 2008 2:27 PMCongrats Kate! And wow! Travelling so far with that many dogs must be easier than travelling with kids!
Posted by: bluetech at October 27, 2008 2:47 PMCongratulations, Kate, and doggies!
Welcome home--and just in time, before the snow flies.
Posted by: batb at October 27, 2008 7:31 PMYou go Kate - congrats -- love the name "Dead Cat Bounce"
Posted by: Orlin at October 27, 2008 8:25 PMSorry, somehow I missed that you were in Sioux Falls. I would have been honored to have a coffee with you. Nonetheless, congratulations on a safe trip home.
Posted by: Michael at October 27, 2008 10:12 PMJust how big is that "truck"? (mental image of "litter nap methodology")
Glad that all the champions are safe and sound at home.
Especially those that can type.
