What is really troubling are the rising numbers of viewers of shows like The Daily Show, the Colbert Report and Saturday Night Live. These shows pass themselves off as comedy but they are really propaganda arms of the far left Democratic Party. It's sad when a majority of people under 35 are getting their "news" from this source and base their politics accordingly.

FOX NEWS is where it's at!!!
When I wanted to subscribe here in Canada on Star Choice they told me that it was the most wanted programming!!

As it should be, even the stupid realize they are being taken advantage of after a while.

I also don't believe the polls giving Obama the big lead they say he has, something just doesn't sit right. We'll see I guess, I always seem to be wrong with my political predictions anyway.

Just deleted "national News from my desktop I could understand during the election having Steffi front and center. Our Prime Minister just attended a meeting of world leaders and whats at the top of "national News" Steffi with some "breathless article about how "he was warned" by 'unnamed Lieberanos" just how"treacherous" those dastardly Conservatives were BLAAAA hey if all they want to be is a "newsletter" for the Liberanos why waste time on them. BTW a resonable person might think the Lieberanos might just be interested in our nations financial problems?? Hell no ! they are just "tearing themselves a new one" over Steffigate, and just who is to blame boo hoo to think people actually thought these clowns could form a government. I don't think there are gonna be too many green scarves at their convention. Cheers Bubba

With the MSM in the tank for Obama and the possibility of a huge majority elected into congress with far lefties like Pelosi and Ried who’s first priority to regulate free speech and also regulating the internet, I bet it is safe to say it will be the MSM who will sadly get the last laugh.

"When the Communists show up to protest the Nazis, you're supposed to pray for an asteroid, not pick a favourite."

It would appear the political asteroid, has arrived then.

Even John Cleese is pulling for Obama, so the real hilarity can begin! "Michael Palin is no longer the funniest Palin!"

"Rupert Murdoch takes small furry animals and impales them with a red hot poker." Of course this would yield a Small Dead Animal were it true.

So I guess one should vote for "hillaryrity" and vote for Sarah Palin.

So the biggest joke for John Cleese would be the election of McCain/Palin on November 4th.

Let the "Hillaryrity" begin, when McCain/Palin fulfills John Cleese's asteroid wish!

I can see Sarah Palin in a feature film with John Cleese:

"A Fishwife Called Sarah!"

or perhaps:

"Very Fierce Small Dead Creatures!"

Keep laughing after November 4th, you may well need your sense of humour when a Republican ticket may surprise!

Cheers

I wonder what Tom Robbins' views are on the American Election , perhaps Still Life with WoodObama?

About your point of deleting "national news...",Bubba ; I just checked there and found the 7 top news articles about the Liberals and the 6 top columns about the Liberals. Funny how you can loose an elction and still be the top of the news a week later. I guess this just dovetails into SDA's point about the dinosaurs and not seeing the meteor approaching.
Thanks Charles

The folks in the land of reality just may have a much different view of things than the media hordes whoring for Obama.

These numbers could be very prophetic, Barak Messiah Obama should be nervous. The Alaskan Rube named Sarah Palin and the steely war Veteran named John McCain do represent much of what America is all about.

They think that partisanship will raise their ratings, really they do. I mean look at Fox News, except that Fox was addressing an underserved market, and they are all going for the saturated market.

I haven't watched MSM TV network news for about ten years...and am much better informed for it. I finally realized I was getting pretty much only leftist propaganda on the major networks "news" programs.

I do watch Fox News, plus surfing the Internet, blogs like SDA; the very few non-Leftard newspapers and magazines, who have websites; etc.

It's work to get the real news and assimilate it. I'd say a couple of hours a day at least to become and remain an informed citizen.

My comment on CTV.ca was not posted last night. CTV was all about the Dion martyrdom. I guess they didn't appreciate my point that there is more happenning in the world than the Libs self centred spectacle; also referenced their drooling over Iggy-Rae on election night, and asked if the Dion do-over vid was a favour for the Libs.
Heh..it felt good to get it off my chest...even if they didn't post it.

An idea for a new website;

Commenters that are trying to post on the majors (CTV, CBC, G&M,ect) would also be posted at this new site. It would then be plain to see just how widespread the favoritism is at MSM comment boards.

*snip of first paragraph:
MSNBC has launched a news project with a variety of left-wing special interest groups to boost their Election Day coverage and help viewers experiencing problems at the polls.

I just deleted CNN from my TV channels, heh, Glenn Beck has moved to Fox News. It was the only program I watched on CNN. Wonder how their ratings will be now that he's gone? It was the only show they had that was worth watching......

present mainstream comedy status report:

daily show: seen one you've seen them all
colbert report: seen one you've seen them all
SNL: seen one boy have you seen them all.

sigh.
