Central banks in several countries, incuding Canada, have slashed interest rates. News also comes that the American government is urging Canadian financial institutions to buy up defaulting US mortgages to help save the economy there.

What a plan. Cut loan costs to encourage borrowing in a debt crisis, and shovel our bank money into their trash assets. This is out of control.

Garth is an archetype....a compilation of the sleaziest traits that politicians, investment advisers, car curbers and circus promoters can offer. As such he is fun to mock but the pleasure wears thin and is replaced by pity when it becomes grotesque....

I got some more spam mail from the Garth today...said something about 'truth'.

I replied with the truth.

For a politician trying to get re-elected Garth is hanging around schools way too much.

The Conservative candidate didn't show up - this was the green gal clutching - according to the story ...was garth seeing things that give him nightmares..like Conservatives under his bed and clutching microphones? Poor garthy.
