The Case Of The Great Saturday Night Live Caper

mystery.jpg
A skit goes missing. No one is talking. The only witnesses? Fannie and Freddie...

Elementary, my dear Soros.

More - "Yank this, bitch." (Currently under heavy traffic demand).

I saw that skit, it's very good and hilarious.
Or should I say ....Was.

This is one of the obvious tactics being employed more and more by the ever tolerant left. On a similiar note, anyone tell me what theaters in Canada are showing "An American Carol"? That's the movie that sends up Michael Moore and all of his fellow travelers. Does not seem to have been released. At least "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" is here. In the US there have been reports of theater employees selling the wrong tickets to people wanting to see it as well as reported episodes of vandalism. It's always great to see how tolerant the left is. My speech is free ... yours not so much.

The RNC should go into FUll Exposure Mode on Soros and all the dumbocrats involved in buying the party and propping up Obama as the sock puppet.

Spend every penny form now until the end on exposing them, exposing Obama's friends and financial backers.

Lay it on thick & heavy and when he plays the Racist Card - and he will, just blow it back at him. It didn't work for OJ, it won't work for Obama

I saw a preview of that American Carol on another blog, ATW, absolutely hilarious.

The video is available at Pat Dollard's blog:

But I haven't been able to get through (although I've had a bad Net connection all morning).

Sorry, that's ATAW, they have a couple different previews, you'll have surf down a bit, I was looking for it here in Ontario , no luck.

Posted by: blanks at October 7, 2008 1:40 PM

I hope Peter Mansbridge is doing a bit more research than his hideously thin expose last night on the National.

Peter, was it simply the greed of Wall Street and George Bush as you said it was last night? Or was it that plus the failed social engineering of Ayers, ACORN, Raines, Bwarney, Obamessiah, the Clintons, the CRA and Jhimmi Carter?

I loathe George Soros, his financial tentacles have no business in our politics and elections. NBC is just as loathsome.

Yep, he's right there is this useful ACORN/Obama graph:

One should never criticize left-wing billionaires. Indeed, it's best to not even acknowledge their existence. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Mao Strong and his Famiglia love attaining power and wealth but hate publicity. As the Bible says, "They that do evil hate the light".

Excellent.

Posted by: Fred at October 7, 2008 4:01 PM

Mao Strong was certainly looking for light when he was hatching his evil plots down in Rio or over in Japan. But the current undertakings in China must be much more evil if he can't rise to Soros' latest challenge.

From time to time rumours appear that Osama bin Laden has died recently or even long ago. Any similar rumours coming out of China about Oak Lake, Manitoba's favourite son?

This movie is going to be as tiresome and unfunny a piece of crap as Fixed Noise's 1/2 hour news hour. Why? Because right whingers are completely bereft of a sense of humour. You're too filled up with bitterness and vindictiveness.

manny, do speak for yourself, dear.

I am probably gona get smacked around for this, but wasn't Barney Frank's Gay Lover Herb Moses on the Board of Fannie Mae for over 15 years, and now Franks is trying to say it's the Republicans Fault ?

Canadians are about to get acquainted with the commie George Soros, the Americans to their sorrow have met him a while ago.

No conflict of interest if a Dumbocrat is involved.

"You're too filled up with bitterness and vindictiveness." -- Manny

Like this woman who hates Palin so much it is ruining her life?

And then came Sarah. My reaction to her, and the way the Republican Party threw her in our faces, and the pandering and hypocrisy that was behind their decision to do so, was immediate, visceral, and indeed, vicious. I have crossed every line I believed should never be crossed in public discourse — I have criticized not only her policies and her record, but her hair, her personal style, her accent, her abilities as a mother, etc. I’ve also begun to suffer personally and professionally. I bore my friends with my constant tirades against her, and am constantly distracted from my work by my need to continually update myself on the latest criticism, and indeed, ridicule, of her. In my hatred for her, I have begun to hate myself. I don’t want this woman ruining my life before she even gets a chance to ruin our country. How do I stop? Is there a self-help group for this? A “Hater”

You're so funny Manny. Your comments are always amusing.

Posted by: Chairman Kaga at October 7, 2008 5:40 PM

Tim, the proof of the pudding and all that. It is self-evident that right-whingers can't do comedy, except inadvertently. It is only my opinion that it is because there is no room for humour when one is consumed with bitterness and vindictiveness. There certainly could be other reasons.

Wow, I think I need to go get drunk and cry to my girlfriend after that trenchant riposte from manny. I mean the facts arrayed and the irrefutible logic is just devastating in its sublime awesomeness...

By the way manny, that was irony. The first clue for you should be that you presented no facts. The second clue that you presented no logic. Only your bigoted opinion. But what more do you need?

Team America, World Police was funny, and it was right wing. I haven't seen "An American Carol", so I don't know, friends have and say it has its moments.

The Pelosi and Frank characters were hilarious.

Posted by: richfisher at October 7, 2008 8:03 PM

Do you think we'll see Sarah Palin on SNL like we once saw George Bush the elder come in and give Dana Carvey a hard time.

Wouldn't be prudent.

Posted by: Peter O'Donnell at October 7, 2008 8:18 PM

Ratt, you are correct Barney's "significant other" was in the thick of things at Fannie, he worked there, a conflict of interest is putting vit mildly. From a conservative gay site no less:

http://www.gaypatriot.net/2008/10/05/media-downgrading-gay-relationships-by-ignoring-frank-conflict-of-interest/

And FOX:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,432501,00.html

Fannie and Freddie, the main culprits in this disaster and purely the Democrat's Frankensteins in the sub-prime mess, notice aren't being dragged before congressional hearing, the Dems don't want that on the airwaves.

I believe the right wing was the joke in that movie. I cant believe you would miss it.

Parker and Stone are very left.

That was not a right wing movie.

Posted by: Right of centre at October 7, 2008 10:13 PM

"Parker and Stone are very left"

Yeah, that is why their famous quote "we hate conservatives, but we really hate liberals."

You think what you like, but the speech at the end about dicks assholes and pussies was not a liberal speech, and it was not intended as irony.

I can't believe that you can watch their show and think that they are "very left."

Next you are going to explain to me how Leslie Nielson's naked gun movies weren't funny on acount of how "bitter and vindictive" he is.

Posted by: Tim in Vermont at October 7, 2008 11:11 PM

uber liberal Alec Baldwin came off really great in TAWP.

Posted by: Tim in Vermont at October 7, 2008 11:15 PM

I you just let your imagination stray the TEENIEST, TINYIST BIT:

Lunatic fringe
I know you're out there
You're in hiding
And you hold your meetings
We can hear you coming
We know what you're after
We're wise to you this time
We won't let you kill the laughter.

Lunatic fringe
In the twilight's last gleaming
This is open season
But you won't get too far
We know you've got to blame someone
For your own confusion
But we're on guard this time
Against your final solution

We can hear you coming
(We can hear you coming)
No you're not going to win this time
We can hear the footsteps
(We can hear the footsteps)
Way out along the walkway
Lunatic fringe
We know you're out there
But in these new dark ages
There will still be light

An eye for an eye;
Well before you go under...
Can you feel the resistance?
Can you feel the thunder?

Posted by: eastern paul at October 7, 2008 11:26 PM

I decided to add the SNL video to my blog, mainly because of the reports on how it "disappeared" from youtube.

It sure is a statement that the only time the MSM tells the truth about Democratic disasters, it's on a comedy program.

I think it would be fairer to say it made a mockery of both sides.

Par for the course from a left wing moonbat. First, a movie review for an unseen film. Second, a sweeping, unsubstantiated, generalization of conservatives. Excellent.

Posted by: CJ at October 8, 2008 1:30 AM

"I think it would be fairer to say it made a mockery of both sides."

No, it mocked both sides but it "made a mockery" of Alec Baldwin.

By your logic, Ronald Reagan was a supreme liberal, and his entire administration was a piece of ironic performance art.

Posted by: Tim in Vermont at October 8, 2008 8:58 AM

Barney and Herb went up the hill
To fetch a pail of mortgages
Herb fell down
And broke his Fannie
So Frank went after Freddie

I know it doesn't rhyme, but what the heck.

Posted by: Joe Canuck at October 8, 2008 9:10 AM

TAWP was a 90 minute (or so) laugh in the best way. Alec Baldwin and the Film Actors Guild was wonderfully portrayed, every time Matt Damon spoke I laughed, and the speech about dicks and pussies was funny just because it was true. This movie was just as funny as 1/2 hour news hour (I miss that show) and right up there with anything done by Monty Python!
If I'm filled with bitterness and vindictiveness, keep giving me this kind of non-humor or whatever manny thinks it is, cause I loved it!

Posted by: Irene Swain at October 8, 2008 1:57 PM

You hyper-conservatives are so funny. You jump around and hyperventilate over perceived conspiracies, almost as bad as your weird hyper-lefty cousins.

The skit is not only easily available on the snl website but it is featured prominantly as one of the hottest vids.

Maybe it's the tinfoil on your head that is interfering with the reception.

Posted by: Ted at October 8, 2008 3:32 PM

"The skit is not only easily available on the snl website but it is featured prominantly as one of the hottest vids."

After having the reference to Barney Frank's role in blocking tighter regulation of Fannie Mae.

Just flush that little tidbit down the memory hole, what's the difference? It never should have been in there, even though it is true because it doesn't help the Democrats. Facts don't matter.

Posted by: Tim in Vermont at October 8, 2008 5:29 PM

Ted, do you get out? SNL has sanitized the skit as per Messrs Sandler and Soros' instructions:
