Can't wait to see the SEC run Dirty "nobody knows what to do" Harry through the ringer. But I suppose I will have to.
Posted by: Shaken at October 4, 2008 11:02 AMIt will take a long time for the photo to develop to show who is where in this mess - and the Democrats may be surprised to see authors point the finger at them long down the road.
However, underlying it all is the desire for the American people to embrace a debt-driven consumer economy at the expense of reinvestment and production.
Consumer and national debt is staggering, and people have withdrawn equity in their houses through loans. The nation and the people are effectively broke - and those in the know must be hoping beyond hope that the music can still play.
Interest rate fiddling and trying to juice a flaccid economy will only go so far.
I would rather have a loaded gun than an empty bazooka, to turn the phrase of Paulson's.
Posted by: Erik Larsen at October 4, 2008 11:18 AMHarry was too busy convicting Marines of murder before he hears any evidence and before they have a trail.
Guess he won't be visiting any Marine bases any time soon.
Marines understand payback.
Senate Majority Leader harry Reid used a variant of 'Pump n' Dump.
'Dump n' Dump'
But how could he risk American's financial future just for political gain !? No matter to a liberal if it enhances social engineering.
Same deal as Margaret Atwood promoting the break up of Canada to secure her tenure at the public teat.

Posted by: Jema 54 at October 4, 2008 4:04 PMCurious thing about the rhetoric.
If it was all about bailing out greedy Wall Street and the Democrats are the champion of the common man, then why did more Democrats vote to pass the bill than Republicans, the purported party of big business?
This does not compute.
