MY LORD
Posted by: Indiana Homez at September 15, 2008 3:51 PMCertainly not sticking up for Obama but doesn't everyone embellish their resume to a certain degree? I've read and questioned a few of them in my time.
Posted by: Western Canadian at September 15, 2008 4:07 PMObama's resume and experience will eventually become an issue in this campaign when the time is right - just be patient.
McCain is a master strategist - just watch and see what happens.
Posted by: Brad at September 15, 2008 4:12 PMI don't think he even knows anymore what his reality is. He becomes in his mind what his dream says he should be and that is all it takes.
Meetings with German bond traders that didn't happen, leading Senate Committees that he wasn't a member of, invisible secretaries on his climb up the promotion ladder.
There is a pattern of make believe in him.
Any six foot rabbits missing anywhere ??
Posted by: Fred at September 15, 2008 4:12 PMApart from the egomania which is a basic requirement for those in politics, what I find interesting is the attempt to sell him as a person rooted in black American culture. Yet neither his ancestry (50% white, 44% Zanzibar arab, 6% african), nor his upbringing provide any basis for this claim.
What clique discovers and grooms people like Obama and Kerry and has the ability to place them front and centre and cause the money trees to rain support on them is a complete mystery to me. Bet a truthful book on the subject would make millions.
Posted by: Sgt Lejaune at September 15, 2008 4:13 PMYou know what the only upside will be if Obama is elected President? It will mean there is a new title holder of

Call me naive, but I think that POTUS should be one job that doesn't require an embellished resume.
Posted by: Boudicae at September 15, 2008 4:45 PMIm waiting for Obama to give his most famous speech.
" I am a dream"
" American has handed me a cheque and the cheque is marked insufficient resume"
"I am a dream"
"that a man will not be judged by the colour of his skin but by the content of the media."
Posted by: cal2 at September 15, 2008 4:49 PMHe may forget or invent as is convenient, but his shady background is being revealed, layer by layer, the backgroud that his campaign have tried to flush down the memory whole.
He can forget, but videotape has a looooooooong memory.

Everyone seems to be missing a point here that explains where that level of embelishment might come from.
The man is 47 years old and had already written his memoirs four years ago!!
I don't even think that Churchill had written a book about himself by 43, and he would have at had done something book worthy by that age.
Posted by: AtlanticJim at September 15, 2008 4:59 PMYou know what's an embellishment? Claiming you fought against a large-scale project you lobbied for. Except it's also called an outright lie.
You know what else is a lie? Saying you fought earmarks when your state received more than any other under your leadership.
Now that's a shady background for you.

Worse than Clinton ??
Here is a doozy from an Obama supporter in New Hampshire
“I just do not trust the American people,” said Eleanor Shavell, 58, a computer programmer, who, along with several others, joked she would move to Canada if Mr Obama loses. “I cannot believe that 80 per cent of this country thinks we’re headed in the wrong direction yet 50 per cent are supporting McCain and Palin. I guess it’s like at school, there’s always got to be a bottom 50 per cent.”

How do you like that: "Bottom 50% percent!" 'Nuff said.

Posted by: Sammy at September 15, 2008 8:42 PMShoulda just inflated his tires instead of his resume.

That is true, Boudicae, if one has actually has sufficient accomplishments to put on the resumé/c.v.

John V, Who Hoo! You and I are on the same page. I've posted that too. He's the ultimate chipher(sp?), the ultimate blank page with no values or core being of his own. He is whatever in the moment he is required to be.
A memorable scene from Being There via wikipedia:
Chance is later confronted by a street gang. A street gang member pulls a knife on Chance and says, "Don't give me no jive... I'll cut up your white ass." Chance pulls out his TV remote control as though to change the vision before his eyes. A lifetime of watching TV has not prepared him for the realities of real life.
Yep, that's our little Obama, a little nothing who has fashioned his whole being from fiction. He has a very cruel bio as a male. His inadequacies are chillingly, similar to some of histories most pathological leaders. He's a one term wonder if he makes it here, but, he would be a scary entity if the Third World was his home. He's I, Claudius material.
Posted by: penny at September 15, 2008 9:41 PMHe's a f*cking politician.
If he told the truth....that would be news.
Posted by: Canadian Observer at September 15, 2008 10:59 PMdoesn't everyone embellish their resume to a certain degree?
Those who embellish too much generally get caught out and fired, if they get hired at all. Only a lazy or completely hoodwinked employer would fail to do the background checks to see whether the resume is simply embellished or is a collection of fantasy and fraud.
Posted by: John Nicklin at September 15, 2008 11:05 PMObama is the second biggest scam in the last few years, global wareming beating him out by a landslide. Keep it up MSM you are going quickly to the left of the margin backing this phoney fellow.
Posted by: bartinsky at September 15, 2008 11:17 PMAlthough I am concerned about his resume. I am more concerned with the type of lunatic who spends twenty years(with family in tow) cocooned in a white-hating, black-power church.
Another good piece of news, looks like NY may be leaning GOP now....change you can believe in.
No,no, no...The "picture flare" in this shot must be directly over the
Obamalamadingdongite's head, eh...
