“Entitlement seemed to be the only way these minority students knew how to combat racism.”

Bingo!

How many of us “non-colored” Canadians went to school and knew a really cool colored or racially diverse kid? I’ll bet everyone has met, befriended or known one or a few. You know the type of personality I mean, someone who knew the language and lingo well, was confident as a Canadian and completely overlooked their minority status amongst the greater society. These individuals never went on about entitlements or even discussed racial differences, instead they concentrated on just getting along, and partying or whatever else everyone else was doing at the time. They didn’t huddle with people of their own skin color either; instead they comfortably mixed with everyone. Racism evaporated at their feet because they integrated and embraced the home they had made for themselves.

The rest are simply weak individuals who cannot cope well in the world to begin with. It’s easy to point fingers and lay blame for their own shortcomings especially when the PC groundwork is so carefully laid. “I don’t do well in school because the teachers a racist”! “There are so many black men in jail because the police are racist”. Everyone’s a racist but me!

The politically correct crowd has doomed generations of colored people and ethnic minorities to a lifetime of entitlements and excuses for their own lack of ambition. It becomes an easy world to understand when someone else is to blame for all your failures and non-starts.
