I Love Latitoood

“I have always loved longitude,” Nancy Pelosi says before breaking into laughter. “I love latitude; it’s in the stars. But longitude, it’s about time. ... Time and clocks and all the rest of that have always been a fascination for me.”

Oy Vey !

From Amazon ... number 853 and falling ... with a one star rating:

The democrat matron of global warming hysteria is doing her part to destroy the planet by writing an unnecessary book - to be made out of paper and ultimately tossed in a landfill?

Even if her publishers are using recycled paper, they are still using materials that could be used for a better purpose. The printing process and delivery of the book also squander valuable energy and resources that could go to better use.

So park your SUVs and turn off your air conditioners... Nancy needs the power to make profits from her book.

Anyone who buys this book should, out of deference for the planet, multipurpose the material and use it for toilet paper - preferably before they read it.

Books are a waste of carbon? Here I thought that paper is a carbon sink type material - just like lumber and trees.

It's more than just a one star rating, it would require over 60 consecutive 2-star reviews just to lift it to a 2 star rating.
It would need 10 consecutive 5 star reviews to lift it to a 2-star rating.

It's more than just a bomb, it's nuclear.

...much as today’s world seeks answers such as an electric car battery in the energy debate that now consumes both Pelosi and Congress.

“Whoever makes that discovery, rules,” she says.

Uh, yeah. Up until they really do have market dominance, and she and her co-conspirators decide to hold hearings to bitch and moan, and threaten nationalization.

Just another whiny California closet-communist with delusions of importance and a surfeit of technical ignorance.

What a pathetic fluff piece. Amusingly, the comments aren't working out so well for the little journo hack that crafted it.

Nancy, the plastic faced hag pulled the rug right out from under Uribe who has done a fabulous job restoring law and order in Columbia. He needed the free trade agreement, he deserved it, and she knew it. I can't remember her lame excuse. What idiot would chose not to fund Uribe who is fighting FARC who are a proxy for Chavez? Simply amazing.

The sad part is that in spite of her fecklessness and stupidity, the majority of Americans now favor off shore and ANWR drilling, she'll always be fixture in Congress because of the many lefty birdbrains and freaks in her congressional district.

She is an insult to being stupid.

Double her brain cell count and both of them would rattle around in her empty skull.

Kate (or anyone else) - I am trying to find a link to leftist wingnut columnist LindaMcQuaig (Toronto Star; Straightgoods). In today's local paper she is critical of Obama for being a warmonger!!! Sounds like trouble brewing in the leftist lovefest.

Oh, ghod, not again.

That...woman...is such an embarrassment.

Hey,,, every Senator in the USA gets a book deal.

It's actually a money-laundering scheme created by the special interest groups to subsidize their bought-and-paid-for Politicians.

Someone once described her as having "the eyes of a horse fleeing a burning barn."

Ha! First time I typed that i said she had the eyes of a "hore" fleeing a burning barn, and I know just enough Old English to make that funny.

I wonder if her book includes both side of every issue she talks about; in accordance with the fairness doctrine she's trying to shove down everyone's throats.

Cjunk--everyone knows that the elite like Gore, Suzuki and Pelosi don't emit CO2--they are above that!

andrew, it's the process of making paper. isn't process everything to liberal socialists?

The comments on Amazon are hilarious. The wit is sufficiently acerbic that for a while I thought the Brits were commenting. The five star rating came from a caustic soul who felt the book gave him the final push he needed to commit seppuku. Those Amazon comments are a must-read.

Further to Sepuka mans 5 star rating of the book, a comment in response to this must read...

Barbara L. Ginsburg says:
Thank you! The best customer comment I have ever read here
I hope someone mails her your guts...she sure as hell could use them.
Oh, and can Obama have your nuts while we're at it? *****

DrDave - I've been noticing a serious trend lately that when the MSM allows real comments, not the moderated ones and especially sites without the pain in the butt registration hassles, things haven't been going well for them. They craft their stupid fluff pieces like Nancy's staff crafted her dumb vanity book and the Great Unwashed with wit and wisdom show up and turn all of their efforts into heartbreak and ashes.

There are two kinds of women in politics, there are Nancy and her ilk, those vacuous enforcers of the Nanny State whose agendas stems from their own self-loathing and poorly defined sense of what the Good Mother is, and, it surely is not micromanaging your kids into the gound and there are the Golda Meiers and the Margaret Thatchers that didn't treat people as children.

Let's hope that the day comes when intelligent women who aren't like these pathetic victim and Nanny State hacks who truly like men and appreciate their differences and our need for them can find a voice and a mainstream public forum.

A bit off topic. Is that a Michael Jackson style nose she is sporting? Being from California, it's possible.

Posted by: GreyOne40 at July 31, 2008 8:35 PM

Pelosi is a ghastly creature without a brain cell in her head. I don't know how else to describe her.

Posted by: TJ at July 31, 2008 8:51 PM

Agreed, Penny. The internet has broken the sense of isolation that the MSM was previously able to impose on members of the public. I think that's part of the reason elites want so desperately to regulate it. They want to be able to reimpose that isolation through censorship -- akin to what the HRCs are trying to do. When people are able to feel comfortable in their own skin, with no feeling of obligation to apologize for who they are a what they think, the elites come a cropper in the comments.

Nancy was, at one time, a busy girl @ Ocean City, MD. It is said she could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch in the period of one Latitude.
