Getting Under Jesse's Skin

"I want to cut his nuts out."

Is there nothing that Obama can't do?

Update - "O'Reilly told viewers that the network had decided to air only portions of what Jackson had said, saying there was "more damaging" material.

Shine declined to comment on what else Jackson said, adding that news executives were in discussions about whether to air more of the tape."

"I want to cut his nuts out."

He'd have to have some in the first place. I guess it's the thought that counts.

If Obama-lama-ding-dong wants change, then change it is! Get in there Rev Jackass!

Posted by: Mississauga Matt at July 9, 2008 8:30 PM

Heheheheheh...... eh?

Posted by: OMMAG at July 9, 2008 8:31 PM

It is never possible to underestimate the stupidity of Mr. Jackson. Over three quarters of Mr. Obama's supporters are nuts, whereas only about one third of Mr. McCain's supporters are nuts. So, if you cut all the nuts out of the election, it would be a McCain landslide ;-)

Posted by: Vitruvius at July 9, 2008 8:33 PM

I'm always amazed how many aged, exprienced, weatherbeaten politicos get caught by the ol' hot mike trick.

If I were in the game, I would never, ever speak in public in an unprepared surrounding.

Posted by: RW at July 9, 2008 8:38 PM

This is unexpectedly highly nuanced rhetoric from the Rev. out, not off. Graciously, then, and with surgical precision, leaving an empty container.

Cosmetically intact, yet, hollow and lacking substance.

Rather fitting.

Posted by: Shaken at July 9, 2008 8:39 PM

Vitruvius ... problem is, it is the nuts who are motivated.

Posted by: RW at July 9, 2008 8:39 PM

Does Obama plan to become a dictator, with all the promises he says he will do after he takes the Oath. First he has to get a cabinet in place, and this usually takes weeks if not months. Then he has to get senate and congress to approve of every one he picks, plus any legislation he wants.
And what will happen if he swings to the center to get elected and moves far left after he wins.
Who can trust what he says anymore. And there are hints that Hillory will be a factor at the convention, and just might steal the nomination. Those delegates can change their minds, just like
BHO has changed his. Nothing is certain until those delegates say Obama.

Posted by: MaryT at July 9, 2008 8:44 PM

I can understand why the likes of Jackson, and yes, even Farrakhan, are pissed by the Ubermessiah.

Heck. He's not even a black, let alone having an ancestry of black slavery ... except, possibly, his ancestors were slave masters. He's a foreign parvenu, and a wealthy one at that. He didn't do his time a'sufferin. And I have sympathy for their complaints on this score.

Even more, tho' his father is dead, if he gets elected, see the extended Kenyan clan come a-knocking at the White House for some spondulics.

Posted by: RW at July 9, 2008 8:45 PM

Agreed, RW, and rather to my point: any party that is
predominated by nuts should eschew excising them.

Posted by: Vitruvius at July 9, 2008 8:46 PM

Frankly, my dear, I'd choose Jesse Jackson over the Ubermessiah. But then, I'd prefer Condi Rice uber alles :-)

Ooooh, I love that woman.

Posted by: RW at July 9, 2008 8:47 PM

MaryT @ 8.44, you point out those things we are all aware off, and ...

Don't forget that this man will push back the seas when he is elected. Yes, he really said that.

Obama Canute anyone?

Posted by: RW at July 9, 2008 8:50 PM

"And there are hints that Hillory will be a factor at the convention, and just might steal the nomination."

She doesn't have to steal it if something fishy happens first.

As much as I would like to see the Dems pull something like that off, I truly believe that this is the correct course of action for the Dems(super delegates moving to Billery that is); therefore, as much as I'd enjoy the entertainment, I would rather celebrate McCain's win in November.

Posted by: Indiana Homez at July 9, 2008 9:11 PM

This will only help Obama.

The black vote will stay with him - where would they go?. And that JJ and other radical black leaders are P.O.ed at him gives him plenty of - pardon the use of the 'hood slang - street cred with moderate white dems and independents.

It's almost as if JJ's "hot mic" event was scripted. Hmmm...

Posted by: Gord Tulk at July 9, 2008 9:11 PM

I agree, condi is hot.I'd be all over her like a white on rice....But seriously folks,How do you expect jackson's apology to cut anything with Obamessiah? C'mon, cutting someones nuts off is hardly the thing to be taken out of context, and the standard apology that was issued is vacant of sincerity. The states are looking at an election that mirrors our own, lefties slicing each other up because they figure the winner of their bloodfest JUST HAS to be the next leader.

Posted by: Sounder at July 9, 2008 9:16 PM

Oh, please. please, please. make them both go away. My God, is the lunatic left and their minions in the MSM, the pathetic American Euroweenie union leeches, the issues-with-mother victimologists, the stupid Oprahtized female losers begging for validation and their neutered male off-spring, perpetually whining blacks, I could go on, but, is this shallow little numbskull, their Messiah, the best they can serve up?

Poor Jessie, I've got to give some credit to him, with his Sopranos-like tenacity as the ultimate shake-down artist, another product of Chicago corruption, I'm sure he's pissed at Obama who did him one better and ever so smoothly in duping whitey.

All I can say is, stay in combat formation folks, this could get really ugly.

Jesse really, really supports Obama - he just wants to cut his nuts out. Too fuuunnnny. Perhaps a bit of political jealousy. Obama is within reach of the big brass ring; Jackson never had a hope of getting within a mile of it.

Posted by: Bruce Strang at July 9, 2008 10:26 PM

Fox says they're not even showing the entire video because 'they don't want to embarrass him any further" (snort)

That hilarity aside, maybe that why I don't actually understand what Jackson is mad at Obama about. Something about 'faith based initiatives'??

Between him and Sharpton -- man, what a depressing pair of "leaders"

PS: Larry Elder has a new show on Fox on Saturday nights. Now HE should run for president.

Posted by: Kathy Shaidle at July 9, 2008 11:02 PM

Could this be the reason no black ruled nations can have a peaceful prosperous existence/ I mean if they are ready cut each other's nut off for a campaign policy disagreement, what is one to think? And Jackson is a minister no less.

Spare the Machete, spoil the Negro.

I think in more civilized environs, one would simply not get invited to the next pita tear. But off with th nuts? hahahaha.

Hmmm...wonder why fox hired a black republican just prior to the General Election? I would presume its format will somewhat resemble an hour long hit job on Obama. Trying to insulate yourselves from racism charges much?

Hey, isn't there a Commandment that says you can't covet another mans nuts?

Posted by: rockyt at July 10, 2008 9:27 AM

I haven't been following that closely, but if Obama is promoting the "personal and moral responsibility of black males" (which by extension means all of us), and Jackson is criticizing him for it, then Obama wins this decision by a TKO.

Posted by: nv53 at July 10, 2008 9:36 AM

Uncle Tom says "Trying to insulate yourselves from racism charges much?"

Ah yes, the hallmark of a true leftist— if an opponent disagrees with (or God forbid criticizes) a black personality, scream "Racism!" Well, guess what, oh vacuous uncle tom? That dog won't hunt. Whining about "racism" because someone disagrees with you (or in this case your manchurian candidate Obama) is the tactic of bullies. How about refuting the criticism instead, if that's not too difficult for you?

Obama isn't uppity, he's just another lefty spewing failed ideas and empty rhetoric that appeals to empty minds. He certainly isn't above criticism, sir.

Posted by: IOUUICLCBOOORCMP at July 10, 2008 10:55 AM

What I really think is funny that Jackson and Sharpton call themselves reverends...what a joke. I have been to Europe and the vast majority of people there only speak their native tongue. I don't know what Obama is talking about when he says Europeans speak several languages. Now in Canada we speak two languages....French and broken English...

Yeah, Kathy but you can always fall back on the Female Privilege card. ;-) Us middle age old white farts of the male gender are doomed no matter what we say or don't say. As they say "Life's a bitch..."

It is never possible to underestimate the stupidity of Mr. Jackson.

I couldn't disagree more. Jackson is as smart and cunning as can be; he's been manipulating the media for many many years, and he sure as hell knows enough not to open his mouth in a studio without assuming everything he says is being recorded and/or broadcast. Something smells funny here, and it's not just Obama's nuts.

Still, it's nice to fantasize about the Democrats being eaten by their own identity politics.

Posted by: Darrell at July 10, 2008 12:19 PM

The "good" Reverend will stand outside a gun shop with a few other whack-jobs and protest it.

Then turns around and "threatens" a sitting Senator with grievious bodily harm.

Where do we make official complaints for investigation and charges???

Posted by: Nightmare at July 10, 2008 1:06 PM

Mind you "...his nuts..." could be applied to his supporters?

Is the Rev suggesting that he'll discriminate against either the mentally ill or anyone that he knows supported Obama?

"Good" Reverend my ass...

Posted by: Nightmare at July 10, 2008 1:16 PM

Mike L: "I have been to Europe and the vast majority of people there only speak their native tongue."

According to the EU's official site, europa.eu, about 50% of all EU citizens say they can carry on a conversation in a language other than their "mother tongue". That would suggest that your estimate that the "vast majority" are unilingual is fanciful at best.

I have travelled extensively throughout Europe myself, and the only places I had the slightest difficulty making myself understood (helped along by my high school French and German) were Portugal and the Czech republic. (I'm not counting inebriated Scots here.)

When "brothers" turn on ya it's not a good sign.
Do they have an inside track we're not privy to?
Or, are they JEALOUS?

One would think all "brothers" and "sisters" would be over the moon to have one of their own coming close to such power.

Posted by: Liz J at July 10, 2008 5:55 PM

Kevin B, this has been discussed on another thread, but I think it's fair to say that half of Europe is unilingual, and most of those who speak a second language speak either English or a language that's almost the same as their own. The idea that everybody in Europe speaks three or four languages is plain ignorant.

Also, as a rule you learn a second language only if you plan to go to university. In most of Europe, you certainly don't expect half the people you meet on the street to be able to speak English, and the great majority will indeed be unilingual, so don't be too hard on Mike L, who can only call them as he sees them. Whereas everybody you've come to the country to do business with will speak English and several will speak at least one foreign language as well. Becuase it turns out that international business - you know, the kind you're in that country doing? - works better that way.

I thought it was because Obama recently read a speech he was given that criticized absentee (black) fathers. In Jesse's world (and that of most lefties) you can't ask someone to be responsible for their actions if they're black.

Posted by: cousinarlo at July 10, 2008 9:47 PM

Do you think the media would have been so circumspect in releasing all of the tape if the person uttering it was a from the right?

they should at least play it with the expletives bleeped.

Posted by: Gord Tulk at July 10, 2008 11:39 PM

Jesse Jackson is getting pushed around now that he's getting older. I heard one rotund black radio host say "Jackson no longer speaks for black America, Al Sharpton does". I wonder how "Black America" really feels about that.

Jesse Jackson is not to be taken lightly, no matter what people say about him. This is a guy who pushed his way onto the balcony, and smeared Martin Luther King's blood on his shirt. He used that image for over 30 years to build his stature in the black community. A man like that won't be easy to push aside.
