Poor Little Rich Ralph

Ten prominent Liberals who gave nothing to the Liberal Party in 2007.

I'm glad they believe so much in their cause!

In all honesty pretty lame, and these tricksters expect us to believe them when they don't even believe in themselves.

Says about all I need to evaluate their "convictions".

Cheers

But isn't that part of liberal mentality after all?

Play with other people's money?

Posted by: Doug at July 9, 2008 3:55 AM

Pathetic but not surprising. Typical Liberal/progressive mentality. They want others to do their bidding and live by their rules, when they have no intention of doing it themselves. I wish, just once, that the MSM would bring this up.

Posted by: Barbara at July 9, 2008 4:16 AM

Quel surprise!... not really.

Posted by: Texas Canuck at July 9, 2008 5:26 AM

Liberals don't trust each other. There is no way they are going to donate to the party. They are broke, with no hope in sight of anyone giving them 10 cents.

Posted by: Honey Pot at July 9, 2008 5:33 AM

They are just using common sense: no matter how much money you throw at raising the Titanic it just ain't gonna happen.

Posted by: Frenchie77 at July 9, 2008 6:09 AM

"The fact of the matter is" that when Ralph finds out about this he will really be upset. Somehow I suspect that Stephen Harper must be to blame, and good old Ralphie will eventually tie up those loose ends for us. With a liberal application of Ralphie's sanctimonious windbaggery, this would make for an interesting segment on Mike Duffy live. Ah, maybe in the fall.

Posted by: Kevin F. at July 9, 2008 6:47 AM

Cue the bristling and faux outrage..and no one does it better than Ralphie!

Posted by: Sammy at July 9, 2008 6:59 AM

Of course the librano swine do not donate to their own party. They fully expect the money to come from "other" sources.

"Other", of course, being the taxpayers of Canada. Only, this time around they have a little thing called the CPC standing in their way.

It must really sting when a pig sees an empty trough.

Boo f#$%ing hoo for the thieving librano pigs. They are getting their just rewards!

VOTE REFORM!
GO ARMY!

Just a case of it being to hard to move any of our stolen back from their off-shore accounts to give to the cause. Oh wait. The cause is to steal more of our money to move off-shore,and to Morontario and Kueerbec.

Posted by: Justthinkin at July 9, 2008 7:21 AM

Opppssss...our stolen money. Hey its early here :)

Posted by: Justthinkin at July 9, 2008 8:34 AM

It's common and possibly required in some aspects of the financial advice industry for "full disclosure" to take place...
I often read that "Mr. Dinero" does not currently own any stock or bonds in this company after I read their spiel.
But I've never seen, in the "professional journalist industry" someone spouting off at the mouth, then ending it all with a, "and I'm not now nor have I ever been a supporter of the Liberal Party of Canada"

just sayin'

CBCpravda headline.

Critics say Liberal Donations used to pay off dirty Tory Harper Regime Lawsuit

As a professional fundraiser the #1 rule of soliciting is: You can't ask if you haven't given. It looks bad. It looks like you don't support whatever organization you are soliciting on behalf of. Ya know what?

It does! Shame on Dion asking for cash when he's not prepared to put his $ where his mouth is

Posted by: tamara at July 9, 2008 9:19 AM

They've already give the party their souls, such as they are. What more do you want from them?

Posted by: Lickmuffin at July 9, 2008 9:23 AM

Not surprised about Corporal Coderre. He spent all his money at Tim's.

Posted by: dillon at July 9, 2008 9:35 AM

They may not donate much money, but they "give a huge amount of their valuable time"!

Just ask any of them.

Posted by: dmorris at July 9, 2008 9:39 AM

Dead party walking.

Posted by: shaken at July 9, 2008 9:47 AM

You can't really blame Ralph. He's probably trting to save money for his upcoming retirment.

Posted by: Brian Mallard at July 9, 2008 9:48 AM

Coderre was all tapped out after donating to Hezbollah.

Posted by: a different bob at July 9, 2008 9:59 AM

Why should the liberals give money?

Isn't that what taxpayers are for, remember Chretien isn't to blame for adscam. Nope, nope, nope.

Maybe they are worried about where the money will be spent.

Posted by: dinosaur at July 9, 2008 10:04 AM

Most liberals I have met would rather eat their children than part with a dollar of their government welfare, dole or pay checks. Scum of the earth.

The real reason they are all for the green shaft is because even they know it's nothing more than a tax strategy to keep their largess coming in the form of social programs or direct payments for whatever lying reasons they came up with to get on the trough.

Posted by: John V at July 9, 2008 10:55 AM

and who are the CPC laggards?

i choose to donate to charities, the politicos get our tax dollars

Posted by: puddin and pie at July 9, 2008 11:03 AM

These people are all (on the) take, all the time. They're a deluded, self-righteous disgrace.

And they have the audacity to demonize the "Christian right", whose givings altogether dwarf theirs.

They make me sick.

Posted by: lookout at July 9, 2008 11:04 AM

I'm sure they just need time to adjust to the party's new way of doing business now that they aren't able to use their government to drum up large piles of cash in brown envelopes.

I'm sure that when they figure out they have to give their OWN money, they'll pony up right away...

lol. Looks good on them. I look forward to their demise as a party.

Posted by: Warwick at July 9, 2008 11:24 AM

p&p

"i choose to donate to charities, the politicos get our tax dollars"

The charities also get your tax dollars thru their tax-free status and government largess. So they are just as guilty.
Does your conscience feel better now?

missing link: "The charities also get your tax dollars thru their tax-free status and government largess."
Here is one such "charity"/scam.

"David Suzuki Foundation: Donation Centre
Our donation pages are Verisign secured for your protection. Our charitable numbers: The David Suzuki Foundation: (BN) 127756716 RR0001 ..."

One lefty / Lib troll at Queen's site claimed Harper did not give anything to the PC party.

Ummmm...... Public info .... he maxed his contribution.

So what will the lefties come up with next?

Posted by: OMMAG at July 9, 2008 12:37 PM

Thanks, Small Dead Animals for linking to my blog!

If anyone is interested, I made another post this morning (on the Liberal $2-million bank loan), as well as putting up a picture of Stephen Harper's donations to put an end to the irritating anonymous comments that he didn't donate.

Posted by: conservativequeen at July 9, 2008 1:03 PM

like your blog cq.

and that darn Stephen Harper, contributing to the max. how unfair is that?

I suppose Borat Dion is a bit strapped having to rent a cowboy costume and all. And having to do all the work himself too, with Iggy Puffin Poo and Bob Dippy Rae making themselves noticably scarce.

Posted by: cal2 at July 9, 2008 2:48 PM

"A hundred MPs giving $1,000 max each is a hundred grand. It costs $6 million a year to run a party. No, it’s meaningless. — Garth"

I guess Garth doesn't want donations.

Woops, Kate! Yeah that's right, notice the poster above. There is no story when you see that prominent conservatives also aren't donating to their respective party, but you neglected to mention that part , didn't you? PWNED!

Posted by: steve at July 9, 2008 11:13 PM

Borat Dion was born here, he went and obtained his Fwench citizenship by himself ( not automatically as the libs sometimes claim) by virtue of a true Pure Laine mother.

strangely different was Paul Martin, ontario born, english mother, fully ontarioized father that claimed purelaineship. Im waiting for that lisping justin trudeau to claim the same, even after being noted to be the horrid spawn of that vancouver socialite maggie.

scratch a liberal you find a lie.

Posted by: cal2 at July 9, 2008 11:22 PM

So QE, what's the story? I didn't give to the Liberal Party either.

Posted by: Gunney99 at July 10, 2008 12:55 AM

Gunney99: "So QE, what's the story? I didn't give to the Liberal Party either."

The list is of Conservative Party members who chose not to donate to the CPC in 2007. And that's just among Members of Cabinet.

Posted by: QE at July 10, 2008 8:15 AM

QE - the story is------- the lieberals are broke and their members of highest standing dont contribute. not even Borat Dion himself. "It isnt hizzy to give to give a sinking shib"

the story isnt----- the CPC party isnt broke.

Posted by: cal2 at July 10, 2008 2:10 PM

QE - and isn't part of the story that Leaders contribute to their cause when asking the general public to do that? Walk the talk.

I like the comments where it is pointed out that the Liberals don't spend their own money, they spend OPM (other peoples money). They are not accustomed to reaching into their own wallets.
