I wonder, could one get hauled up in front of an HRC for calling an identifiable group stupid?
Allow me to begin by stating for the record that I realize how politically incorrect it is to single out a specific group of people and acknowledge their overtly foolish behaviors. But it seems we have reached a moment of insanity, when enough really should be enough!Posted by Cjunk at June 22, 2008 12:08 AMIt seems I need to give a speech to Democrats, which I have given to my children on several similar occasions. As Forest Gump learned from his Momma, “stupid is as stupid does.” People, who persist in doing stupid things, must sooner or later be referred to as “stupid!” We have reached that point with the average Democrat voter I’m afraid…
The one thing in the world Democrat politicians might be right about is the need for their voters to be saved from themselves…
As I have explained to my children, ignorance is the absence of knowledge, but stupidity is the possession of knowledge and the refusal to use it intelligently. As we are talking about obvious fundamental truths here, not nuclear physics, an absence of knowledge is not the problem.
I don't know how you will ever get that message through. Stupid people don't know they are stupid.

RACIST!
Posted by: Doug at June 22, 2008 12:33 AMDNC ... is not a "race" :)

Yup. Stupid is as stupid does. Isn't another definition of stupid continuing to do something you know doesn't work and never has worked? 'Not learning from past mistakes?
Well, that's the Dems and our version of the Dems, the Librano$.
Posted by: batb at June 22, 2008 8:48 AMI don't think the DNC qualifies as an 'identifiable group', so you should be safe. Besides, I have it on good authority that a fair number of Democrats self-identify as Christian, so hatred of them is not only OK, it is de riguer.
Posted by: Enkidu at June 22, 2008 9:18 AMI think the fact that the Democrat party is American, at least in the sense that its members are citizens of the USA, is sufficient to prevent the HRCs from calling this "hate speech".
I don't think that most Canadians are anti-American, but I'd bet that the typical member of an HRC is.

Yes, but not an identifiable Conservative and/or Christian group.
However, having argued the merits of gun control with countless "progressives" and other such morons, I could provide you with proof of your assertion.
Unfortunately as we have seen, the truth is not a defense before the HRCs.
Posted by: The Phantom at June 22, 2008 11:04 AM I'm paying close attention to the up-coming
Afro-centric Black-Focused public School in the Jane&Finch area because it will be a PUBLIC school which will endoctrinate the Students with the Evolution-Theory that tells them they are desendants of Apes and Monkeys.
WOW , this will boost their self-esteem and enstill a superior mind set over Whites that believe in Creationism and Intelligent-Design by a being greater than us.
Damn you TDSB....Damn you all to hell!

So, "Roger". Are you by any chance actually a committee of crack CHRC investigators trying to stir up trouble at Small Dead Animals?
Because you know, the IQ of a committee is the IQ of its smartest member divided by the number of members. And it shows, yes it does.
Posted by: The Phantom at June 22, 2008 7:53 PMy'all know what a post turle is, eh?
Obama is a post turtle:
A doctor was suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year-old Texas rancher whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.
Eventually the topic got around to Obama and his bid to be our President.
The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Obama is a 'post turtle.'
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was.
The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'.
The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain. 'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of a dumb ass put him up there in the first place.

"As I have explained to my children, ignorance is the absence of knowledge, but stupidity is the possession of knowledge and the refusal to use it intelligently."
although i find myself in agreement with the bulk of the article posted by the blogger JB Williams - i take exception with the quote above and state that i know ignorance as a condition found in otherwise intelligent types by way of a willful or lazy approach to knowledge; while stupid is a lack of capacity or the inability to absorb knowledge. this in contrast to the quote above.
ignorant people can change provided they are not actually stupid. at first glance, it is often difficult to tell them apart.
in deference to the authour's writings from my own totally biased perspective: i would venture that it seems true that the democrats (stateside), liberal, ndp and green parties (here at home) have more than their fair share of people who qualify in either of those two categories.
hope and change - ha! if anything it lies in the firm belief that the "ignorant" far outnumber the "stupid" and that come november many democrats will have done their homework and changed their vote to mccain. it's going to be a very interesting campaign and election.
