You've heard it said often ...
"Things are quiet ... too quiet!"
As for the greens and leftist "oil-haters" ... it'll be interesting to see if their rhetoric remains as they freeze in the dark. The skinny on this is that civilization just may be about to enter uncharted waters where Global Warming will be prayed for.
People often wonder what the fall of Al Gore, the IPCC, and Warm-mongering may look like ... if we'll even be able to pick out the day that it all came to a screeching hault. Perhaps, we are already seeing it in the daily news ... click.
Posted by Cjunk at June 16, 2008 7:40 PMIf you look at their famous "hockey stick", and take it at face value, you might notice that we were saved from slipping into another ice age by the current warming trend. But that is just denialist phantasmagoria.
I think it is likely that the increased CO2 will shelter us from another little ice age, but that good deed will not go unpunished, even if it will go unremarked by the leftist media.
If it does go bad though, we will be feeding cows beans in hopes of warming it up a little.

(AP) — Al Gore announced his endorsement of Barack Obama Monday and promised to help the Democrat achieve what eluded him — the presidency."

but dont expect the MSM especially CBCpravda to be all over this like a fat boy on a twinkie. the more da tax da better da society.
Al Gore? Who's he?
Posted by: Western Canadian at June 16, 2008 9:17 PMI look forward daily, to the almost stumbling herd of scientists now disavowing Global warning or Climate change. They know they created a beast that’s going to eat them too, bring science into disrepute or out right increase the ant-science nuts credibility. Thank fully where getting farther from millennial psychosis each year.

You want to keep your ass warm .... the socialists will want to tax you for it!
Give a socialist the Red Foreman special today ... Ok!
Posted by: OMMAG at June 16, 2008 9:46 PMNot so fast dudes. You forget this is a gigantic industry. Our educators, and the governments that pay the shot, decide the curriculum. The MSM is fully invested in the green industry as are the shallow thinkers who keep electing our governors.
These trough-feeders are not playing with their own money. If they were, we might have a chance. As long as they are at the trough, do you really think they care about the louts that feed them?

"The pesticide report that nobody read
No major media picked up the story, even though it demolished every health and environmental claim devised by scaremongers
By Terence Corcoran
Welcome to the 10th Annual FP Comment Junk Science Week event, which begins today with a somewhat tedious and dry look at a classic, the pesticide scare."

Junk Science, Health Canada, 2, 4-D, pesticides
On Friday, May 16, Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PEMA) released its final reevaluation of 2,4-D, the leading pesticide in use in Canada. It was one of the most comprehensive science reviews in Canadian history, carried out exclusively by Health Canada scientists. Below are excerpts adapted from the PEMA report.
After a thorough reevaluation of the herbicide 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid (2,4-D), Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has decided to allow continued registration for the sale and use in Canada of certain products containing 2,4-D.
Products containing 2,4-D do not pose unacceptable risks to human health or the environment. They also have value for lawn and turf, agriculture, forestry and industrial uses when used according to the label directions proposed in previous consultation documents."

John Gormley Live dealt with the lawn nazis a while back ... too bad he didn't know about (or mention) this study.

I'll be starting a company called "Mussolini Meat-hooks" in anticipation of that day.
BTW, Japan, the country that health freaks want us to emulate because of their healthy eating habits, uses four times the amount of pesticides as the U.S. (per capita, I assume, recalling an item at Junk Science from several, several years ago).
[And I for one would like to welcome our new ant overlords.]
